I sorely want to get a joker right on the final and maybe a Croatia win will get that, but then looks like a few of us will also be betting on that outcome.
Maybe a 3-2 Croatia win or some other crazy score. Croatia aren't exactly goal scorers though... Not against France I can't see it anyway.

So I've got this game down as 1-1 and they're about to start extra time with that score now. Got a feeling I'll get shafted again with a late goal like in the Russia game. Getting 700 points from this game is pretty much the only way I'll still be in the running for top five. Really wish it was just the 90 minutes they take the scores from. Far too hard to predict the draws this way.

It hurts doesn't it? I got the game to 2-2 but I know that a late goal from Croatia will be hard to match by England. The sad thing to see is that the early goal in England got me confident about seeing early goals from each side, my confidence suddenly shrink when the first half suddenly became boring with only a few attempts in each side. But oh well I have screwed up big time on this part of the Pool, Good luck to the rest who is still competing for the top spot of the leaderboard. Edit: Absolute bastards.
Late goals that fuck up your winnings are always the worst. It's like the points/money is already yours then it's snatched away at the last moment. I'm 955 points behind second place LFC_Bitcoin now (assuming the tables are correct). Gonna put some crazy scores in for the third place play off and the final and hope for the best. The only hope I have for the tournament now is a Croatia win but I think France will spank them.
I predicted that Croatia will win 1:0 and I spent my joker on that tame - I got over 300 points. But I'm only in 11th place currently. Croatia is one of team which I really like, but honestly, before world cup I didn't saw them going so dar, because their group was really difficult. And they can't win without drama - two games win after penalties and one after extra time.

Yesterday was a great evening for me. Croatia managed to win and we were a better team for most of the match. Only first 20 minutes were terrible from our point of view. The guys came out impressed or with wooden legs and couldn't play any decent passing in that time.
I was even more happy we managed to win in 1/2 final against England because of all the arrogance and condescending from England side. You guys here are OK but I am sure you saw some of the headings and writings on other forums and portals. Too bad because I actually quite like England squad and they would have been one of my preferred teams if not for that arrogance.
And finally I got that result correct in our predictor so I am hoping it should be enough to secure first place.

Croatia this year have world calibre players, but against France it will be tough if not impossible for them to win.
Yeah, it was like Kane wasn't even playing in that match. Trippier and Pickford have been the stand-out players for me. The only consolation I'll have from this tournament now is if Croatia go onto win the tournament which will get me £165 from a free five pound bet. Put £100 worth of bets on so need to recoup my money haha. I guess there's the third place play off yet, but I reckon both sides will put out B teams again just to give people a game, especially those who haven't played much if at all. I think France will be too strong foir Croatia, though as the underdogs they'll be fired up.

I'm 954 points behind third place so unless I get a perfect score tonight with my joker, which will get me 708, I guess I'll be out of the running for a top five spot.
Whoever wins I don't think they will be any match for France. Croatia and England got to the semis by the luck of the draw really and neither have had a comfortable route in their knock out games, especially Croatia.
I was disappointed to see Belgium crashing out of this world cup tournament as they just need one more win against France to get into the finals, I have made my prediction on Belgium to win 2-1 against France, but it seems that France are just way too strong at the moment as they have created a lot of good scoring chances in the match, even though Thibaut Courtois made a lot of amazing saves against France, but it is simply not good enough if the Belgium strikers are not doing their job to score in the game.

^ Yup, Belgium was actually my bet to win the whole tournament at 12.00. I wish there was a way to hedge a bet around here and sell pieces of it. Like if I bet 100 USD on Belgium at 12.00 at the beginning of the WC, then they reached the semi finals and was around 4.00 to win. I can then sell 1/4 of the total prize for 75 USD and reduce my loss (if the bet losses).
I hope I got that right. But maybe somebody who has more experience in this could show the math.

Very nice take back of Top Spot, Trofo, I made a wild score prediction for France, but also got the same points for correct winning margin heh. Didn't see many people budge up that table, so I suppose quite a few of you guys bet on Belgium eh? I did too actually, lost that bet but gained from the predictions. Feel like my Joker was wasted but at least it was a reasonable score (and got 1 bonus right). Also lost an over 2.5 goals bet. Think we were all let down by the game. Hope tonight's a cracker but I'll go for a boring result today and change my prediction to a more usual one.

I had exactly the same result in predictor and bet in Nitrogen for yesterday. However I have Croatia not to lose in regular time for today.
My predictor with joker used got me 366 points yesterday, got both extra questions correct and that score was enough to push me to the top of tour league once again. Hope I can defend it today

I've gone for 2-2 on the Belgium/France game, but I'll be cheering on Belgium as them and Croatia are the only teams I can win money on this tournament now. No idea what's going to happen though, but think I've got to go for some bold picks if I've got any chance of getting into the top 5. Will use my joker on tomorrow's game but if I don't get a correct score from this game I'm probably out of the running.
I think I've seen top spot change hands every MatchDay so yeah, I have a feeling the top 5 will look different again after Wednesday. Joker on final too... so that's potentially 2 games to get over 600 point apiece. I've missed out so many bonus challenges over the rounds... not that I've hit many when I did take them too... but looking back I calculated >20 bonuses missed. That's 300 points if I got half right. They ought not to have opened them an hour before games though.

I'm only 570 points behind fifth place and you're only one place behind me so we can still probably get in the top five if you get a couple of correct scores and utilise your joker well. I got absolutely robbed by that Russian equaliser in the 115th-minute. So close. It would have probably taken me into fourth place since I used my joker. Glad Croatia went through though.
Theorically it's still possible. But it's not enough to spend joker well. We also need that players above us wouldn't get points for their predictions and it's not likely to happen I think.Same situation here... The gap between me and the leader isn't as wide as I thought. But the problem is the top three have been having all the momentum, making good predictions when it mattered. I could get max points for the semis and it still wouldn't be enough if they make even a half decent round.
