It really is that easy^

The build quality of this unit can not be underestimated, compared to something like a BTC Garden or the R-3, you can tell extensive work and effort went into designing and building the case and the internals. Probably one of the best built miners you can buy today, if not the best pricing.

pretty expensive tho Huh plus it seemed to make some awful noise from that vid they just posted. Miners have a short lifecycle i dont see the point in buying expensive HW that will turn useless in less than 1/2 year anyway. pretty or not. good sales pitch but i'll pass.

1W/GH shold be priced below 1$/GH.

I bought some Antminers and I got below 1$/GH, including PSUs.

Ants also have a 20% better efficiency.

Not only is BitCrane a bit late to the party, but their pricing is way off, especially considering they bought the awfully cheap hashfast chip.

Agree, antminers S3 are by far the best...

Isn't the most important metric now w/GHs, more so than $/GHs? It certainly is for me! If I want to continue to earn some nice extra income, I'm going to have to replace less efficient equipment with super efficient gear. Not so much because of electricity costs but because I simply can't put another watt on my circuit breakers (nope, not interested in DC hosting).

I'm very curious to see what these other 28nm chips would do when run at more efficient clockspeeds. I consider all other 28nm chips to be absolute failures except for KNC, Spoondoolies and Bitmain (and of course Bitfury's 55nm chip).

But what if everyone wasn't pushing the GHs at the expense of efficiency. Would they be significantly more efficient or are they just shit chips?

Great point

Site works fine for me

Edit I got to it on a vm using windows
and if you do not have free power it is too expensive  1580  usd needs to be under 1200 usd including shipping

I get this for the site using safari:

philip why does it look like there is an extra letter at the end of that address on the mac?   www.bitcrane.com/m

you can buy 3 hosted s-3's with a cc for 1347 usd.  get 30 days  for free then  30 days for the 3 for 81 dollars.

who has this deal? thanks
i see a $1500 for three with one free month, then $81/mo.
1347 is a good deal

oneminer.com offered it for 48 hours mines at gaw / zencloud   you could buy 1 or 2 or 3 some got as many as 12.

I got 1 it is mining as I type.  my cost was 449 for the one.   and I had a 20 dollar code so 429 net.

deal is dead.  my point is this item on this thread is over priced at 1580 needs to be under 1300 more like 1100

I have a unit being shipped to me tomorrow. I can confirm from them that they use Hashfast's chip with their own board design.

I'm betting they used the reference design with only minor changes.

If they had used their own design, or even an improved design - then should run 1.2-1.4 TH/s not factoring cooling and power (or efficiency).

Well that's interesting, because I'm pretty sure it's not their own board design if their advert pictures are of their actual HW.

Thats what I was told - Ill be ripping mine open as soon as I get it

At the time I entered the website I entered it as www.bitcrane.com    all my macs added the /m and could not link to the site.

what ever caused that has stopped.

Back to this item.  you can buy 3 hosted s-3's with a cc for 1347 usd.  get 30 days  for free then  30 days for the 3 for 81 dollars. so

lets see.  pay 1580 for about 1050gh must provide power. use btc

or pay 1347 for about 1350 gh 30 days free power.  use a cc

So what do we have?
There is no User manual at their website.
"Product specifications" exists, but in Chinese.
It's an expensive device (you can buy 3 Antminer S3 for that price).
We don't know anything about overclocking possibilities of this miner.

How could you decide to buy it?
