Thanks for the info. Never knew it actually got implemented. I'll be honest. I only look at the thread once a week or two with all the issues I am having under Windows. Which is ironic because I never had any issues up until version 0.30.17.5 or abouts there with any wallets.
I just ran the last Windows version with the last bootstrap that @bitcreditscc posted and I am at about 12 hours later and only synced at block 72655 and 37 weeks behind still.
I have no idea what the change that was so drastic that started causing these issues but it has been a pain in the rear. I think I have one bank node that has not been started in over 5 months now.
I find that extremely strange. You are doing it wrong. If you bootstrap from the version i linked, then you should sync in under ten minutes.

the boostrap is a 7z zip file, you can use winrare or 7zip to extract the 3 folders made from the multiple zip files.
so to run like normal in your data directory..
delete everything EXCEPT:
bitcredit.conf
miningkeys.dat
wallet.dat
then add the 3 folders from the bootstrap
(make a backup of your wallet.dat)
this should sync rather quickly. confirm your synced height with chainz.
persoanlly i have an issue where if i close the wallet it will not sync on restart. a fix was implemented but i still have issues with this. since you have a banknode you can mine. im not sure exactly but i believee at this time you can only mine 1 of 40 blocks. so if you solve a block your miner will automatically turn off in the wallet. youll have to wait for time to pass before turning it back on or the wallet will crash.
if you havent banknode minded before, copy the bcr address of your banknode and paste it into a text file in your data directory and rename it "miningkeys.dat"
*in the time since i posted this i was able to sync fresh.
