Have any of you found a decent anti-DDOS plan from anyone else than Cloudflare? I've been looking and am ok with ~$500-$1000 a month, but $5,000 is just too much.

Actually I'm wrong. It seems they have introduced a new tier since I last looked.
Free ($0) and Pro ($20/month) can't proxy websockets.
Business ($200/month) and Enterprise ($5000/month) can.

You sure? I spoke to a sales rep a few months ago, asking for purely this feature and they quoted me at $5k/month. Checking their feature list, it's still only listed for enterprise customers.
I think incapsula has reasonable plans for websockets, but I haven't yet had the time to give it a try.

You cannot put WebSockets on CloudFlare (unless you pay a lot.) So for most dice sites, that use WS, CloudFlare actually doesn't really help.

yes, but that wouldn't be of much use, since people could only put charges up against the incoporated company and not you as an individual and if the company isn't holding any funds due to an exit scam there is nothing to gain.

why not? you're only incorporated in costa rica via an agent. I don't understand how that would stop you from anything potentially malicious?
isn't the incorporation more about protecting you as an operator, since you don't have to take personal liabilities in case something goes wrong?

the site is running for a while already i doubt that owner would run away right now with all people funds, most probably they just are ddosed or something like that, though i feel more safe that i have no funds there

But, I'm a bit cnfused why BitDice is not using CloudFlare. This is pretty uncommon for gambling sites and increases the risk of DDoS.
You cannot put WebSockets on CloudFlare (unless you pay a lot.) So for most dice sites, that use WS, CloudFlare actually doesn't really help. Jump to:
