I sure hope you do a 'Lavabit.com' and erase all the data from your servers and not let the degenerate Government bureaucrats get their disgusting fingers on it!

It appears to bring you joy to see this sector fail. Where will you troll when it's gone?

I have warned you dozens of times, using logic, reason, and wasting thousands of keystrokes -- you chose to ignore the warnings.
Perhaps this modified aversion therapy will make some sort of an imprint.
It worked on Pavlov's dogs, though those were smart & eager to learn.
We'll see how things hash out here.

What was the point of asking users to become verified then??  I finally got around to submitting my documents today, please ignore the files uploaded and have them destroyed.

Thank-you

Why bother with the whole verification process?

I hope for the sake of ALL people who got verified, that you allow them to become 'unverified' and destroy all their documents.

Or ... perhaps a conspiracy theory ... perhaps you knew you were going to close, and this was your chance to get a crap load of real peoples identifications so that you can profit from the data Huh  Roll Eyes

Did we ever get a clear explanation as to why BTCT.CO closed down?

Important Notice (November 4, 2013)

Please be advised that BitFunder is ceasing operations.  In connection with BitFunder’s shut-down, please note the following points, which supplement the points outlined in BitFunder’s October 8, and October 11, 2013 notices:

* As of November 14, 2013, no BitFunder user will be able to enter into any new positions or sell positions on the BitFunder website.

* BitFunder users are encouraged to transfer their shares from the BitFunder site to the respective issuer(s) no later than December 1, 2013.

* As of December 2, BitFunder will initiate a transfer from the BitFunder site to the respective issuer(s) of any remaining shares held by BitFunder users, and will provide the issuer(s) with the public bitcoin address associated with the user account.  After transfer, each user will need to work with the issuer(s) with respect to the future treatment of the shares.

* On December 2, 2013, bitcoin balances in the accounts of all users will be transferred to their WeExchange accounts.

* As of the date of this notice, BitFunder is not assessing any new fees against any BitFunder user.

* Notwithstanding the shut-down, the site will remain available for viewing and users will be able to request records from BitFunder until at least December 15, 2013.

BitFunder appreciates your understanding in these matters.

I will be making a detailed post explaining more later on. I know this will be hard for some of you, but please try to hold off on the conspiracy theories until then.

Thank You,
Ukyo

UPDATE: He's been on IRC and explained more about what has gone on, and apologised profusely. He is adamant that this is due to him trying to do everything himself and that he has been totally overwhelmed.

He assures us that he is able to work on the technical issues over the next few days although he can't give an ETA as he is also trying to deal with support requests at the same time.

With regards to the withdrawal errors, he maintains that bitcoind is failing after only a few minutes of up time.

Ukyo,
As you are aware of, there are many, many people still waiting for their withdrawals to be processed.
Could you please process those withdrawals asap? That should not take long, or does it?
Or are you just taking free loans from others people money without their consent?
Could you please clarify how long will it take to process a withdrawal at WeExchange and how are you going to compensate affected users.

I did a withdrawal from WeExchange today, WeExchange gave the folliwing message "Could not connect to 2nd stage server." the withdrawed amount was taken from my balance at WeExchange but nothing shows up in blockchain or in my local wallet. Support Ticket NGZ-212549. Please correct this Ukyo.
Have waited for this small withdrawal of a few btc for 6 days now, kindly fix this as soon as possible Ukyo.
There is also problem with logging in on bitfunder at the moment, site seems to be up but just barely, sometimes you end up on that cloudflare page.

Apart from my issues with WeExchange verification and that I'm unable to trade due to Ukyos incompetence, I had no problems withdrawing BTCs yesterday.

He even added network fees to the transaction (finally)

Now that is good news. You're the first person who has said that recently. Can we ask how much you withdrew approximately and at what time. I'm wondering of the server gets reset at a certain time of the day.

My 20 BTC stuck in processing was unlocked earlier but I am still unable to withdraw.

Ukyo is probably pulling his hair out but customers are customers and service is service... I think if communication was much improved and daily it would help a great deal.

For some reason my firewall had blocked bitfunder.com but during the process of trying to figure this out, I accidentally deleted all my browser history which included the 2 factor code (I used the HTML version as I dont have a smartphone) I now can not log in to my bitfunder account and can not get access to the code I need to generate a 2factor log in. What the hell should I do? I can't even open a support ticket with out being logged in?

got this fixed by ukyo via IRC chat, I know he is under a lot of stress right now but he is clearly trying to work through all the issues as quickly as possible

So ironically there is no trading on bitfunder and potentially liquidity issues with Ukyo partly because the support system is simply not functioning meaningfully and there are various problems where legitimate people simply can't get verified.

If I hadn't run into issues and could get verified, I'd be trading and moving money in/out as normal. I dare say I am not alone.

Even if there are liquidity issues, operational issues are making them much worse.

+100

Ukyo, will you be so kind to clarify all these issues.
