please allow me to ask again; how is the data secured? who has access to it? what governments could potentially get access to it?

I understand the need of KYC, but that won't protect you in case your data is leaked or leaked due to human errors or missing security.

I think for every legit site they will ask your really personal things to make sure you are the one that playing this not just a scam one, some people want to make many ids just to get the bonus. They dont want people to do that thats why they are asking about your personal information

I also registered some days ago and got 0.75g on bitgold

The free 0.25gr of gold depends on your country. They pay 0.25 gr on european countries, Canada and others. But they pay 0.025 gr on Russia. But they pay only ones who registered with a promo referal link.
