It looks like AntPool recently signaled BU support.
Yeah but the problem there is signalled support is a little different to what core thinks.
Although we like to think that bitcoin isn't under the control of anyone, core thinks they control it and act as such.

Someone would have to actually push a commit to core for BU and then core would have to actually accept it and put it into a release version.
Why would they do that?

Yep bitcoin is not decentralised.

I keep getting emails saying my hashnest account is being access from locations such as Egypt and France even after changing the pass and enabling 2FA

Mine at Jonny's Pool
January 31, 2017, 09:44:05 AM
P2POOL could do with a booster, if your moving away from Antpool.

you should all be at Kano.is

No they shouldn't.  Not only would that be incredibly irresponsible, but Kano would prevent it on his side first.  He's stated many times that he doesn't believe any pool should be greater than 10% of the network's hash, and he would actively stop his pool from allowing new miners should he ever grow to be that big.

The hash should be spread out... some to kano, some to me, some to bitminter, some to mmpool, some to p2pool, some to bcmonster, etc.

Overall hash rate for the network taking a bit of a dive. And some pools seem to be getting a few extra PH

Antpool 6.68PH now...? What will happend to bitcoin rate?

Well you probably will find at least some miners on antpool have no idea about setting up their miner so they only point to antpool.
So that could mean a sizeable drop in the network hash rate for a short while at least ...

good thing that it. but bitcoin rate continues to fall.. Sad

Please I implore you miners to move your hashing power to a smaller non Chinese mining pool! Stop feeding the hash monsters! A large number of reasonably sized mining pools is healthy for bitcoin ecosystem!

Kano.is
slushpool.com

Indeed, both excellent pools! Full disclosure, I currently mine at slushpool cause I really like the interface (among other things), but either one of the two would be a fine alternative to Antpool.

But I like pointing my 5gh/s R1 here. Just the R1. All the other pools set a MIN Diff that doesn't play well with it. That's OK. Antpool will EVENTUALLY pay the DUST it earns, they deserve its nuisance, in return for the 10 U3's they sent me that don't work.

Good moment for people to think about different pool.
The fee is zero, but think about how much is it not having a share of the tx fees.
Also SPV mining is a bad thing.
