Z9 working with nicehash. Had to set the difficulty manually. Still playing with that though.

How are you setting the difficulty manually?

in the password field where you add the stratums under the control panel menu you add D=yourdesireddifficulty

i guess you have to test it as no sources are available for it yet, try several digits like 1000, 5000, 10000 and so on and see how it works out, than fine adjust.

I have heard Zencash may not fork, but I know BTG will, which is why I'm bummed I'm not mining it right now while I can.

Please do your research before stating a "rumor."

What "rumor"? Everything I've read says they haven't decided yet.

EDIT TO ADD: here's a good summary list for Z9 owners (note that it is not maintained by a dev, just a user):

I do wonder if it's the miner or the pools trying to limit difficulty to prevent miners being used? I admit I don't know enough about the technology to know if that's even a possibility...

Just had mine delivered.  I cannot get it working with the ZEC pool's for Suprnova or Slushpool.  Error is something related to "extranonce"..

On Antpool, the "dashboard" after 20+ minutes shows nothing - so although am getting some shares accepted, I can't see assurance from Antpool's dashboard that they are being recorded..

The fact that this doesn't work on all pools is a bit disconcerning!

The antpool dash will eventually catch up with itself, and I was wrong in my math before, it's paying out how it should. Though I may switch to pplns to avoid the fees, at least for a day to see the difference.

Can you share some pics of the unit and miner status screen please?

Not the unit (i'm not at home), but it looks basically like a shorter version of the X3--no front fan with a mesh screen that goes the whole height, probably about 2/3 or less the length. Here's the status screen oc to 13K:

Very nice, congrats. I missed the first 77 Z9 shipments by 1.5 minutes. So I am guessing you weren't able to use a coupon since I didn't see that option for my first order but subsequent orders after an hour or so had coupon option?

I don't think I did, no. But I don't think I had any left either, since I ordered my X3 and B3 around the same time...

Yeah, lets get back to these not working on all pools.  So this is what we have so far:

Not working
nanopool for ZEC
suprnova for ZEC, ZCL, and BTG
slushpool for ZEC

Working
antpool what coin?

What about MPH?

What about NiceHash?

You know, you're always bitching about Bitmain.  But yet GPU mining farms are buying cards by the 747 full.  Give AMD and NVidia their best profits ever.  The manufactures just card about making money, any way they can.

So nvidia and amd are secretly farming some algo right now? Like all ASIC producers who mined the shit outa xmr and then announced the "sale of a NEW miner" ? -->example of how nvidia and amd are different.

How can ASICs help against farms becoming huge?

and GPU mining is dominated by AMD and Nvidia..  Same shit different day

No not really and Intel it seems is gonna start making GPU 's . I plan to not buy another ASIC ever after buying some ASIC a few month ago, biggest mistake I have made in a while.

When GPU's are still more Profitable then ASIC that 2 k i spent on ASIC i should have built another GPU rig with, I would still be making 40 bucks a day with GPU's plus i can sell off the GPU's in time an make at least 100 or more each unlike ASIC  in 3 or 4 months only a fool would buy old out dated ASIC miners or even now, while the GPU's will sell at a good price still an the only way i will buy any more ASIC is if the new ones are priced like S5 which won't happen either .

ASIC is not worth it any more and it's to bad you are blinded by the thought of  fast money while butmain is actually fucking you, trolling you and coning you , sure you may get the product but is it really worth it, and at some point you have to admit they don't care about any one but there self, an that should matter to all of us because of the DMG greed does, it's sad.

The really bad part ASIC and GPU mining can co-exist if it is aloud to and that's all we want . we don't care about ASIC if the ASIC miner didn't thrash the network .

Decentralized mining... hmmm, so everyone is solo mining?  I must be doing this wrong...  Roll Eyes

Well, Han is Solo mining.  and don't tell him the odd of finding a block!!  Cheesy

That you know of.

Nah, I like the sheer entertainment value!!  I want my Z9's!!!  Come on Bitmain, start shipping!!!

ROFL...  As you know, no disrespect intended.  No "personal" attack intended.  I simply see the Z9 as a risk I'm not willing to take.

I have yet to see an ASIC I'm willing to risk investing in since I sold my S7's.  My GPU's proved to be more profitable than ASIC.  More importantly, I'm all about "decentralized" mining; which is still dominated by Bitmain.  Might as well call it BITMAIN mining instead of ASIC mining.

Nivida and Amd do not own massive gpu farms and compete against thier own customers like shitmain ..  get real apples to oranges here

Well, looks like their so-called "testing" before shipment wasn't done very well.  Looks like you'll have to wait for a driver update to mine on other pools.  In the meantime, BITMAIN will earn more coins from you by forcing you to mine on THEIR pool.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I knew sooner or later you would show up here.

LOL... Just put him on your ignore list.
