Maybe knitting might be a better hobby for him. Clearly cant handle standard computer evolution. Like it hasnt happened to any other electronic based product since electricity was discovered. Guys an idiot. Nothing more to be said.

Sounds like you can't handle building a GPU mining rig.  You admitted your brain cells are lacking by your own insanity.  I see now why an ASIC suits you.  Simply plug and play.

I'm not defending Bitmain, but ASICs in general.  They are here to stay, Every ASIC I bought  (I go back to the gridseed days) has done what is was advertised to do.  If there was no advancement we would all still be driving Model T's.

Deal with it.

Understandable...

It's just what you and I consider BENEFICIAL "advancement" is two different things.  What BITMAIN is attempting to do is not BENEFICIAL to decentralized mining.  My opinion...

Post all you want, cant see your stupidity lol. You make me lose brain cells every time I read a statement of yours. It literally hurts my head.

What brain cells?  Remember, you wish to keep repeating the same thing over and over again expecting different results.  It's called, "insanity."

The fact NONE of these ASIC companies have to share their developments with anyone, we are pretty lucky to be able to get them as well. Baikal is way more of a threat to the industry then Bitmain, yet no mention of them lol. Shows how stupid this Bitmain bias really is. Nothing but childish rantings. No one is forcing any of these companies to share their findings. They could have just fucked EVERYTHING over and not even bothered to tell anyone.

I have brought up Baikal and the new FPGA companies as well.  The GPUs backers don't care because they are not the evil empire of BitMain...

indeed lol.

Im still amazed at how many times this dipstick DM keeps repeating the same thing.

Most who KNOW me, know I've been in the space for a while and have had a LOT of experience with BITMAIN.  My LAST round of ASIC's I bought from them was 42 x Bitmain S7's in late 2015.  All of which I sold in February 2016 and never looked back.  I USED to be the one to DEFEND them when they were attacked by others and I believe many KNOW this.  THEN I TOOK THE RED PILL AND WOKE UP in February, 2016!!!  I did a LOT of research and weighing pros and cons of GPU versus ASIC.  ASIC would be fine "IF" {and it's a big if} the manufacturing of ASIC's were not CENTRALIZED, if governments did not pose a risk of banning ASIC's when they are shipped into their country, [GPU's are not so easily banned; as they have multiple purposes], and manufacturers pulling shenanigans in regards to better hardware while selling the scraps to unwary greedy driven miners trying to make a buck while being oblivious to the true "end" of what Bitmain works towards.  Which is lining their own pockets at the expense of unwary individuals who are being seriously taken advantage of.

If there was a perfect boycott by all of us.  The asic builders would simply build and mine for them selves.

Won’t be more then one year for all current algos to be cracked.

Of course anyone in favor of asics or FPGA over gpus is a complete and true idiot or and here is the big or someone with very good connections to asics or fpga gear.

Hey if I had the z9 in December I would be pro asic .

I had a b52 sent to me to review it was making good money for 25 days not anymore.
This can be done to any coin right now asics are building out and it kills coin pricing.

Because the asic builders are cashing out the coin. From the sale and from, mining before they sold

If bitmain was holding all the coin sent to them the last four months the price of coin would be higher.

Hi Phillip,

Very well stated, sir.

And thanks for waking me up to FPGA's not being the answer either.  Software is the answer to bring ASIC, FPGA and GPU on an even keel.  [Forcing BITMAIN to compete with the likes of AMD, NVIDIA, INTEL, etc... on manufacturing costs.

Man the ASIC hate here! ASICs and FPGAs are the wave of the future.  So get ready to sell your GPUs back to the gamers, that's what they were made for.  ASICs are made for mining.

So quit crying.

I'll say again:

GPUs are WAY more available to get then ASICs. To say GPUs are currently hard to get is incorrect. Sure there was a month or 2 when they were overpriced, that was due to the high demand when they had a ROI of 90 days.

Even then you could still buy a smaller graphics card, they were not ALL sold out. The 1070/1080 TIs were the hard ones to get, other models were more available.

What advantage would we have if everyone moved to ASICs? It would just raise the current bar for everyone, reduce us to one supplier of hardware, and starts a arms race. Atleast with GPUs we are all on a level playing field without having to worry someone will have a GPU that does x100 the hashrate for 1/10th the power. All the hardware is relatively close to each other in terms of performance, keeping the difficulty from ramping up x10-x100.

ASICs dont save power, they dont make the network more secure, they are limited in availability, only have 3 to 6 month warrantys, run loud and hot, manufacturers keep a large number of the them for themselves and keep secret other rigs that are far better then sell them as new later while replacing them with new hardware, etc...

This is suppose to be a ASIC resistant coin, why dont you ASIC people go mine other ASIC coins available. Ohhhh ya thats right, you cant make your money back off them ASIC coins anymore because of the difficulty have ramped up so much. So you want to come and ruin Zcash’s difficulty with ASICs to make a quick buck and act like its the future of mining.  I'm HERE to tell you, that QUICK buck is an ILLUSION.

With FPGAs starting to come out.  No algo will be safe.  Faster, less power than GPUs.  Once the price starts coming down all the GPU backers will be getting their panties in a bunch about them.

Yes, the constant switching of POW algo isn't going to work against FPGA's. Only trade off is that they are not as efficient as an ASIC. However, technology keeps marching forward.

Think back to ASICs 3 years ago.  Hell, think back a year ago.  Moves fast when money is involved!!

LOL, can you imagine all of the Mycoin_classic_classic fork coins coming from this?

What are they going to do when they find out that withing a couple of weeks the new algo has already been figured out and the miners can update with a fimware update?  Then what?

Or the algo constantly changes, well that has to be known what it will change to and when.... So what is so hard about telling the ASIC to change with it?  Whatever blockers will be sorted... This is not the way to level the playing field.  Really sad state of affairs.

Baikal already has machines for Cryptonight/Cryptonight-lite, Blake256R14/Blake256R8/Blake2B/Lbry/Pascal, X11/Quark/Quibt/Myriad-Groestl/Nist5/Skein/X11Gost.  They are also promising that more algos will be added later.  You don't think they can produce a machine that can outdo your GPUs.  Give it time, there will be no where to run and hide.

If the PoW algorithm is changed every 3-6 months, it cannot keep up with.

That's good fork every few months.  What could go wrong.
