Yeah, well it's only Nov.17th so you're still good.  My unit was supposed to ship in October. Total radio silence for months now when trying to get an update on this.  Huh

Yes I am a pirate, 300 years too late!
How are they shipping the December batch miners before the November batch ones?  Huh

My November 21-30 delivery batch is at the moment showing "unshipped" status.

Same here, Neither my D3's or S9's have shipped yet

Shitmain customer service is for shit, and even if you pay to ship back a crappy miner twice, and they promise to replace it with a new one after a couple more months of delay, they then don't ship the replacement when promised. When you inquire as to when the replacement is to be shipped, THEY DON'T RESPOND.  I've been tying to get an answer from those assholes for over a month now, so Shitmain can go to hell.  Angry

If they had 14TH/s S9's, why is the Jan 11-20,2018 batch 13.5TH/s?  Should I just wait for the next batch?  It doesn't seem like this one is selling out as quickly as others have described previous batches of the S9.  Somewhere in the 249 pages of this thread, I read that one batch sold out in hours.

The sales rate depends largely on their (expected) stock quantity and the demand. Neither factors are publicly available. At the rate they are pumping out miners between now and January, one would expect the difficulty to escalate greatly. This may also be influencing sales.

This next bit is speculation:
History shows that as Bitmain starts producing miners that have better and better hashrates (also with lower failures) and then suddenly starts selling-off large quantities of batches which seem to be a regression towards earlier models' hashrates, they are dumping their stock to prepare for an improved model.

I don't know when they put up the Jan11 ship date batch for sale, but I would say that they aren't in their greatest demand anymore, if other batches sold out in hours and people were camping out for them like the next f-ing iPhone.  From what I've read about Bitmain, I hope mid-sized operations in the USA are realizing that Bitmain is a shit company and demand better customer service.  Why should anyone be paying for return shipping to China on a unit that failed under warranty?

What do you siggest then if I want to invest in ASIC miner, where and what to order? If you can send ma an email on [email protected] tnx Cheesy

I would stay away from the bitmain power supply. There are much higher quality server PSUs available in the same price range. Ive seen upwards of 30% failure rates on bitmain PSUs in bulk orders.

I run 30 and non of them failed. They are not bad PSUs and price is good too.

I have been using the Bitmain PSUs for over 3 years with only 1 failure for hundreds of miners.

Hey thanks for the detailed response I really appreciate it. Sounds like a house with close to 240 volts is best for the bitmain PSUs so maybe it's best to have that influence my decision. Also I've heard that the other units have voltage protection etc.

Maybe becoming an expert on fixing the power supplies is a good idea if you want to order them instead of the aftermarket units.
