Trying to place an order on Bitmain website but only BCC option shows up, no BTC.

Any clues?
They only accept Bitcoin Cash payments for this batch.

I only have a bitcoin core wallet, no idea how to place an order with BCC, guess I need a BCC wallet?

If you have had your coins from before the hard fork that gave us Bitcoin Cash, you have the same amount in Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Otherwise you'd have to exchange your BTC for BCC and transfer that as payment.

Is the S9 profitable at this price and diff? Considering buying one or two..
I think yes.
Don't know if it's better than L3 and D3 for long term...

But each day, the buying rate on nicehash change, from 0.0098 to 0.0065 to 0.01 today (btc/day)

S9 is probably good buy as it is on 14nm and besides Hashnest has a big supply of S7's there so making new miner is shooting themselves in leg. So probably don't expect new miner for some time.

Everybody's guess is as good as yours. Generally speaking, mining seems going to be a race to the bottom where the question is whether you've made enough out of it, before it's obsolete. I've gambled and lost with Gridseeds a few years back, with the money invested then in BTC I'd be a lot richer now, even if the mining would've gone better.

I'm considering starting mining for the first time and it looks like Antminer S9 is the way to go in that price range (other suggestions in $1000-$5000 range is welcome. $0.08 per kWh).

Is it safe to buy from Bitmain? If I pay for an order now, am I sure to get one from the november batch? Or am I risking that they suddenly are out of stock even after I pay?

I don't feel so good about paying so far in advance, with a currency that is charged immediately with no refund possibilities.

What do you think? Should I go for it?

They're flaky, take long to mine with the machines you've paid for actually deliver, but that's what you know beforehand. Although we can have a long discussion about the business ethics of Bitmain, their machines are relatively stable and therefor get sold. A lot.

Ultra Mega Giga Super Cool Flying Oposum!
The are back in stock, probably unpaid orders I grabbed 4 at first then another order for 6 lol

Not the unpaid, last batch was 14TH and ship on 1-10 Dec
https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020170926114319067noQch0M206A3

This batch is 13,5TH and ship earlier on 21-30 Nov
https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201709281019141777wvS8I1g068C

I am very interest to buy but with my current customs policy, better buy in the local market although its higher price but its certain than my shipment stuck in customs' gate
Where are you from ?

It's easy to avoid custom in EU.

Could you tell me how please?
I have few miners comming to uk and they charge about 20% here. and i was thinking to get few in slovakia too.
i tried to add message for delivery to declare under value but it was not possible (canaan)
thanks

I have simmilar problem with Customs in my country... They are efing braindead...

Policy goes like this ... Value of your product + shipment == Total value + 10%(of Total value) ... And and again 20% on top of all of that...

If i order D3+150$+ PSU 150$ shipment that would be 1800+ 10% = 1980+ 20%(396$) = 2376$ ... In the end i pay total Custom Tax of 576$ this is freaking insane

i have a kind off topic question

does anyone knows, or better bitmain's forum account to reply, if bitmain accepts local pick up from any place, warehouse or something like that, in China?
a friend of mine is traveling in some cities in China and
i am interesting for a single piece, so it would be carried easily back home

taxes  and customs are increasing the price as hell

I don't think that this can be possible
