Mine for a Bit
I am familiar with altcoin mining but haven't been familiar with btc mining since the btc gpu mining days, what are the estimated ROIs looking like for the currently available asics? (s9? r4?) with free electricity

Options to get into the Mining Business:
(I always lean to the Conservative side)

Bitcoin at $1275:
  * S9 AVE 12.5THs = Gross $10.00/day
  * Genesis Mining = Gross at about 12THs = $4.50/day
  * Hashnest is another option.

ETH at $19.75:
  * 7 GPU RX470 RIG = Gross $12.50/day

DASH - Baikal Miners are the way to go on this Altcoin.

With your electric rates and Purchasing Cost, I will let you Calculate your ROI.

Hope this Helps, Mine for a Bit.

Ah, ok, so we're both old enough to know THAT one...

To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds and basketweavers that sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're coming to take me away, ha ha!

Napoleon the Third, if I recall the "artist".

Must need my head examined - just plunked down the coin for an S9.  Cheesy

Fingers crossed it has no issues since it's headed straight to the DC.

No zuo no die why you try, u zuo u die dont be shy
pushtx.btc.com cost $6 but got the job done in 3 hours as advertised. The transaction backlog is brutal now.
Used .0005 tx fee, not enough at the moment.
Did wait about 3 days until I kicked it with pushtx.
viabtc would not take the tx, was full up.

viabtc has an hourly limit of 100 so you can try submitting every exact hour. I never paid for any paid services. I do 2~5 transactions a day with @ 0.0001/kB. Not a problem for me. Longest one i got stuck was 8 hours.

Thanks, got the site bookmarked just in case. Just checked and STILL not confirmed even once.
I already let Bitmain know about it and gave them the txid. They responded and will keep the order alive until confirmed.

Try add your txid to antpoo and viabtc too. That will give you a better chance sooner.

Out of 7 S9s you have 6 dead boards? That's ridiculous.
Ouch!!!
I've been luckier than that. So far 10x s9's starting from batch-1 (still the fastest) on up. Total of 2x hash boards died long out of warranty. Had repaired in CO.

R4's... 1x Batch-4 runs great as does one of the batch-6. Both flawless so far. The 2nd b6 that arrived just 4 days after the first - 1 hashboard died just after 24hrs. Will eventually sent to CO for paid repair but for now is running @ 4.6THs on the 1 good board.

That said, ordered a new s9 a couple hours ago. After the latest round from Bitmain, fingers crossed on how it runs...  Now just have to wait for the tx to be confirmed... Sent from wallet 5hrs ago and still unconfirmed! yeesh...

I probably will get 1 more s9 eventually but I only have a few more under-clocked/volted s7's left to take off line at work. I *do* have a power budget to stay at so eventually it will be just s9's and assuming my 2 new ones arrive tomorrow, 5x Avalons: 3x 721's and 2x741's Cheesy Cheesy

Used https://pushtx.btc.com/, kicked my transactions in the ass just 2 hours ago after waiting 3 days.

They probably will start shipping much earlier, the miners are on stock. The march 31st date is to have an argument for the guys who paid $400 more a week before  Grin

yea, true and they have to pay more for import duty...

BTC.COM (also Bitmain owned) is 0% fee and pays transaction fees.  They call it "subsidy."  No guarantee how long it will last.  Plus it's PPS.

That sounds like the best payout/lowest risk pool out there.  I'm on Kano.  I may point my new S9 to BTC.com, but I really prefer to stay outside the Great Firewall.

BTC.com pool is run by Roger Ver who is trying fork the chain to BU, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS POOL!

I think you are mistaken btc pool with roger's pool

I guess I should not be posting this late at night. Bitcoin.com is Roger, BTC.com is Bitmain so basically Antpool 2.0. Regardless, just as bad

Getting Avalon's (2x 741's arriving Fri) is rather like vaping vs having a cigarette: Works but not the same rush...

You're killing me, dude! First round/hit on me!  Wink
Hmm, that reminds me... Gotta tally up how many s7's I have. Think it's a couple dozen.

A while ago I talked with another member here who is in the MM business, said that he has a (I assume legal) grow-op in my area with 3-cent power and brought up maybe hosting there... Might say give him half the s7's in return for 6mo-1year of 'free' hosting the other 1/2. Only problem with that is the PSU's from the s7's now power s9's. Damn.
