Has anybody got notice for Jan 11 to 20

Still waiting! This is killing me!

Same here :Paid / Shipping / Valid: on the "Antminer S9-13.5TH/s(HK) / Shipping in 11-20 Jan".........   waiting.

Try to register on your delivery service website. I recieved notifications from ups days before the bitmain website said "shipped". Knew exactly where it is and when it will be delivered.

Good call. I am registered with UPS already. Strange thing is my PSUs still say "shipping" and  I have had them for 3 weeks
UPS also allows you to pay duty fee online, quite convenient. I also have the same issue now with bitmain's webiste saying "shipping" even after I received an email from them with the tracking number. Probably something broke on their website lately.

there are few days between the email shipping notifications and the actual delivery, they have warehouses in different places and it takes few days 3-5 days to deliver the items.

This is going to be a silly question but I have to ask anyway.

For soundproofing (or at least trying to reduce the sound at all!) I plan on building a wooden box with a shelf in the middle.  I'd put the S9 on the middle shelf with exhaust facing towards the back and have a cutout for the fan to fit into so the heat exhaust goes into a compartment that gets sucked out with a fan into some ducting to dispose of.  On the bottom half of the box I'd put the power supplies.  For air intake I'd put a house filter over a hole that I'd use as air intake.  I'd then place that entire box inside another box that would be completely surrounded by insulation so I can muffle the noise.

If that makes sense here is my question.  Would I have a problem just stetting the miner/power supply on the wood itself or should I get some sort of spacer to set them on between the item and the wood.

Any suggestions or tips before I head to home depot and get the supplies to make this?

PSUs come in boxes of 8 units. Try like this.

Thanks. Surprising results when I priced out all the options for UPS.

Qty 6 => 335.87
Qty 7 => 334.2 (Not a typo)
Qty 8 => 381.94

Ended up ordering 7 which means Wu gives me free shipping cost on one PSU. I wonder if they have an off by one error in the shipping calculation cost.

When ordering PSU only from Bitmain the shipping cost seems very high.
I assume this is because each PSU is shipped separately?
Does anyone know a secret to save on shipping cost when ordering PSU?

Example: 10 x $105 = $1050 + $477 UPS shipping cost.

My Jan 20 to 31 order was shipped on 01/04/18 and delivered on 01/09/18. I was quite surprised I got them that early.

What's the temperature tolerance of the s9. Mine goes around 95-103 C, is it normal?

You are on the danger side. Below 80C is OK, around 100 and above is overheating.
How do you keep them? Do you have any exhaust system? Do you cool them? Also what is the hash rate with this temp?

yeah above 80 is not recommended (have few few running at 82 but had no problems at all. in case the fans are at full speed and it is above 80ish than this is very serious.

Hi Guys

Very new to mining and the other day I disconnected the power supply from one of my S9's and I noticed that one of the power pins on the hash board side is slightly singed and a brown color.
I blew it out with air and reconnected it and the machine appears to be hashing normally, only thing unusual about this particular machine is that both fans are always the same rpm.

Can you advise if this is a problem or dangerous or if it requires repair, I have attached a picture.

TIA

It probably wasn't making a good connection.  Clean it real good and keep an eye on it.  If you smell burning or the plastic gets hot you may need to get a different PSU if the connector is bad.  As far as the Antminer goes you don't need all 6 pins connected for it to work.  I only run 4 (2 positive and 2 negative).

I had 2 units arrive today, I have been waiting for them for 3 months, BOTH FUCKING DOA! WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT!!   Angry

I message Shitmain and I get an automatic response saying they're out of office from 15th-25th Jan, Wow just fucking great.
Are you sure? What are they symptoms?

Both will not power on, I am using Bitmains AP3++ PSU'S, The PSU'S power on fans spinning etc but the S9 does nothing.

If I just connect to control board and not hash boards is still doesnt come on and same just connecting to hash boards and not control board.

I am in the UK using 220-240v so 1 PSU is fine..
No leds, entirely dark control board?

This happened with me few times. turn off the PSU wait for few minutes and cycle back the power. it should work. connect all cables.

Never had a problem with a bitmain PSU
