Haha.. hi ama. Coincidence finding you here. Thanks for the help in the newb section. Only reason I was there was to get access to this forum. Only got a small amount of bitcoins and the Ponzi site seems like a fun way to mess around with them until the currency is better established. So hi everyone, and if you want a nice small, safe (relatively speaking) investment, the Dwarf Bank is open for business Smiley

Hey No-Trevor!  Nice to see you again!

So, you needed me to find the "alternative clients" subforum for you, but you managed fine to find the gambling one?  Good luck with the ponzi, it's cool and enternaining.   Smiley

Its not the server at the moment, the internet connection has been having some issues. I suspect that my school has been working on the network because I also got messages about our email having outages. I'm going to see if I can get a backup connection up on 4G with automatic failover in the mean time to eliminate downtime.

I will post a message on the site whenever the server needs to go down, and schedule it for when no rounds are about to expire.

That'd be great for your game.  Being up and down all the time doesn't make any good for it.

Let me know the address you sent those coins to and I will issue a refund.

I'll tell you in a private message the address I sent this time.  Last time I cannot check, since it's not possible to browse finished rounds anymore as before.

Thank you.

Hello,

I like your game, but the stability of your server has prevented me, for the second time, to keep playing a game I was already in.  I guess it's a Windows box, which fails more than works.  This is what I'm getting when I try to access the round:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Host Not Configured to Serve Web Traffic
...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have not only lost the oportunity to keep playing (and perhaps geting the ROI or wining the jackpot), but also lost the coins I had already sent before.  The first time, the server got back up just in time for me to get a send address to keep playing, which I did, but the coins were received by the server late, so that I lost also some more coins.

Shouldn't your server take into account those frequent failures and extend the duration of the rounds?  At least the ones which end during (or near) the down time period?

I like it.

Hey, who wants a desktop bet bot or any help setting up their own betbot? You'll need to change your bitcoin.conf file to allow RPC access, and set credentials.

Then read this: http://www.wikihow.com/Install-the-PHP-Engine-on-Your-Windows-PC

Then download Bitcoinduit-source-0.2.zip and betBot.zip from http://bitcoinduit.com/[filenames]

Put bitcoinURL.php and jsonRPCClient.php into the same directory. Edit bitcoinURL.php with your wallet settings.

Schedule a task in windows to call your script at intervals. Set your level of risk in the Jackpot ratio of the betBot.php file.

Done.

Does the bet bot work with fixed time ponzis?

I see no reason why it wouldn't.. You would probably want to edit line 7 and 8 for minimum and maximum time to ensure that your bet gets placed right at the end, or as close as you can get to it. a window of 5 seconds or so, maybe, and you'd then want to call your the betbot from your scheduler at least every 10 seconds.. I'll test it out..

Does anyone think that making a massive jackpot every day with 1 hour expiration is a good idea, or should we stick to one game at a time?

You've got to allow up to at least 168 hours of inactivity.

Compromise, I just set it to 48. Too many dead rounds build up if the max duration is too long...
I'm okay with this compromise. Cheesy
