Bittrex is not a scam, I even remember when people were calling Poloniex also a scam, what you need to do is to carry out some verification and if you pass it, you should be able to access your account. This is the reason you don't keep your coins on exchanges

I use bittrex everyday from 3 months and I never had any problems.
I had the ID verification done in order not to have any problems with whitdrawal, maybe this helps.

I also think that Bittrex is not a scam. They introduced 2fa security and those who are stuck up in that (like their 2fa device is stolen etc) are making such noises to make bad name for Bittrex.

It is a number 2 exchange after Poloniex and there is nothing wrong in it to be worried about.

Even if it is #2 exchange doesn't mean it will never scam their users. I have 2fa enable since 2014 and my device have never been hacked or stolen. But now my withdrawal limit is 0. I found out that I'm not the only one who have this problem, there are tons of them.

This is just ridiculous, if you have any problems with account write to their support, but you will have to register to support desk first.
I had two issues so far, one of them with enhanced verification and they replied in timely and appropriate manner.

And I'm waiting for almost 40 days. Also they limited withdrawal from 0.025 to 0.

While I don't believe bittrex is a scam, I'm pretty disappointed with them right now.

I've used their service since 2014, likely providing them hundreds in fees (especially with a 0.001btc withdrawal fee..) and I've recently had my account (previously legacy) limited to 0.025 then 0.00btc withdrawal. I've tried the basic verification and it fails even though I have provided all my correct info. Opened a ticket and now playing the waiting game. All I ask is to be allowed to withdrawal my remaining funds and I'll be done. Seems pretty wrong to withhold from a long time user who added funds there years before verification became a thing.

I understand why they want verification and I'm ok doing so (Not happy about trusting a 3rd party with my identity though) but at least have it work, or respond with a solution in a reasonable time when it doesn't.

I do hope I'll be allowed to get my funds out, and the rest of you who have had issues.

Seems like almost all exchanges are having some sort of issues with losing user's coins. They need to up their systems, or else we will see another Mt Gox disaster!

So far, I have not encountered any problem with my Bittrex account too. I think the problem with your situation is on your end, regarding personal security most probably.
Yes, Me too.
I've been using Bittrex for over 5 months now and I can always trade or withdraw with problem.
My friend had a similar issue with verification but it was his own mistake and agreed that it wasn't the fault of Bittrex.
It's for our own protection to have a two way verification because of rampant hacker activities.

Bittrex is a crypto trading platform. In past, people can make money by their site but now it's cheating with people. Wink

Hi,

We have reviewed your account. It looks like someone else logged into your account and sold all of your coins and then tried to turn on 2fa in order to withdraw your funds. We recently added email authentication to turn on 2fa which most likely stopped this person from withdrawing the BTC.

We always recommend using a complex unique password and turning on 2-factor authentication.

Here is the login info of the person who must have your username and password.

Thank you,

Ryan

I feel sorry for you but it's not bittrex fault any bitcoin exchange websites has an 2FA authentication to prevent hackers i think you accidentally clicked a wrong link like phishing or you get some malware in other websites or programs, Hackers are so smart so you need to be careful to your funds it's a lesson for you to be careful next time you put your funds into an exchange that's the reason why all bitcoin exchange sites put 2FA and email authentication in every account to prevent this scenario.

Have you even tried contacting them before accusing ?
What! Who would ever contact Bittrex? That's unheard of.
Although my account was not hacked or lost by someone else, bittrex ignored my request for advanced verification and I have already submitted an application for more than a month. No one answered me. I was thinking bittrex staff was Is not the collective long-term off? I sent a mail to [email protected] and submitted a work order, still did not get any manual reply.

Did you make any screenshots? Otherwise nobody will believe your story. It's hard but true. Next time make screenshots of your deposit.
