This thread should be locked. There's nothing new to be said that hasn't already been said. There are many more BlackHatCoiner who would publicly announce their departure from the forum/community or do it silently. As it stands now, no amount of discussion here would make he come back to explain his reasons for departure. He would rather be disappointed that his decision was respected as he already mentioned that he is leaving for personal reasons.

Once a man, twice a child!
Now that he has decided to take a walk away from bitcointalk did he know that he is a role model to people secretly and, how positively or negatively is he affecting to those who loves him or wanting to increase their ways by choosing someone to as a role model despite they aren't interacting in any ways or whatsoever.
No one thinks of what they're to others when they're battling issues beyond them. I just hope
BlackHatCoiner is well and the personal reason they gave that made them quit here isn't health related. That's the only part that saddens me when I read about people leaving this forum or any other social gathering. Health issues can make someone distraught. Other than that, people are free to come and go here without giving out details of their actions.

So, he went off without giving anyone to spam on this thread. That is why he is a legend and would remain until we forget him. Eventually everyone does as this is forum and we se active members, who are way ahead on their posting activities is because they are active.

What manke me unhappy is that a good member left the forum without telling any reason. That doesn't matter now as we wre without him and for the next few years we will.

Is this how we should abandon the people we know? Remember no matter what, no man should be left behind, in militaries they teach you this I believe, I was never a soldier in a military, but I kind of understand the notion. So it's better to show that we care.

Haha, I sense the humour and I appreciate it, but:

"So it's better to show that we care." ---> show it to whom?  Tongue

I honestly don't understand what's the big fuss.
Some people see bitcointalk primarily as a milking cow, so its baffling to them that someone who is a high ranking member in one of the best campaigns on the forum would take a break, which is something that happens on other forums regularly and is perfectly normal.

Life is not always about money, is it?

OP, as I said above, it is great that so many people say "goodbye" to BlackHatCoiner, but perhaps you should lock the topic.

Of course this is my own opinion, but I think we may need to be silent about his decision (after seeing all the posts and having written in this thread myself), nothing will change and nobody will answer on behalf of him after all.

I remember in 2022 when I came back he kind of helped me to find my way around technical discussions regarding puzzles. even though he seemed to have mild anger issues, but he was knowledgeable. I just hope he is not in any financial troubles. but he should know that we are here for him.

I honestly don't understand what's the big fuss. I took a break from the forum for a few months, and nothing really happened. We should give him some privacy. He did say it's for personal reasons.

Maybe the thread was locked because there is no reason for anyone to comment. We are an online forum and we are NOT entitled to know what goes on in everyone's lives. There are alot on here who think it is quite the opposite. Unless you had or have business pending with the user, then his reasons are his reasons.
Actually I have a same opinion like you, but I just try to putting myself in @OP's position. We can't control other user behavior, if someone is curious with other user, what do you think the appropriate way to express that? talking about someone in a thread that discuss about other thing is off topic.

Why can’t we just let it be? Going by your logic, we should create a thread to discuss everyone who has left the forum from 2011 till date. I won’t be surprised if someone else creates a new thread “Would you leave Bitcointalk for personal reasons?”
Honestly it was a sarcasm.

As for a new thread about leaving this forum, we already have that What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? Grin

I came across this post at the reputation section captioned "Goodbye bitcointalk" and after he posted he locked the thread whereby no one will be able to comment or asked him/her questions about his action and final decision to take his walk away from here. Now lemme brief it down, when I started here as a beginner and as someone who is trying to make things more better and changing to increase in quality posting and ways of becoming more helpful I have took BlackHatCoiner as a personal friend (Role model) and some others as persons whom I do look into their profile to keep myself courageous.,

Now what happened to his or her account Locked or Deactivate?
Do not take it too far, there are reasons why he opened the topic and locked it, which is because there will be a lot of praise, emotions and backlashes as well.

I wonder why someone like him would abandon the forum at the time that m!xers that give them the hugest money are about to be banned in the forum. I even like him, he's smart as he left early enough so that people would not allege him at the end of this year when m!xers are eventually banned.

But why the post? He could have just excused himself and come back later or never come back again as the case may be as the account will remain the same as long as Bitcointalk is concerned, only that he could be stripped of his merit source status. But why the decision this time that there are bull runs everywhere? Some are so lucky with their futures trading and crypto investments this time. Why won't they say goodbye?

Conclusively, I see hypocrisy here. Some have made so much money to believe the forum is nothing to them again, that's how I see it, and that is human being for you.

Cheers, the forum continues to live!

I'm a web developer. Hire me for your work.
BlackHatCoiner didn't say he'll be coming back. It looks like he won't if he's said he's resigned. He didn't give his reason for going away so we'll guess but it isn't bad if ppl leave the forum to spend time on different activities.

The forum's a nice hanging out getaway but we're living in a real world society so it's what matters in real world life.

Ah, I don't know him at all but I read his thread. Based on his 6508 merit it looks like he was pretty established here in this community.  I hope the best for him and hope his personal issues get resolved asap.

This place is like a market when you come either you buy or you sell and after buying or selling then you leave, some people objective of coming is learn or acquire the knowledge of bitcoin and once they acquire the knowledge of bitcoin then they leave, op don't surprise one day you maybe tired of engaging in a conversation and you will like to leave the environment of bitcointalk, and after leaving you might come back in future if you feel that you are missing some contributions for the community
Not many users will announce their departure on a digital forum for any reason - but some users do. Does it matter - maybe it does, or maybe it doesn't. They could have left the forum without telling anyone - but when someone announced it to leave and rest, then it was the best decision for him. This is a normal situation for all users - so I don't think we need to create a special thread to question why they left.

Let them do what they want - but if they make a series of announcements before leaving the forum, then say goodbye to them and wish them happy days out there.

BlackHatCoiner was truly one of the assets of this forum but I think he left the forum because he might have to do something which's more important than this forum for him. The guy has been very contributive and we all appreciate that but sometimes we have to take such decisions and that's basically for good of everyone. I wish that where-ever he is he may get all the happiness in the world and I'm pretty sure that he will be back on the forum when everything is okay for him.
The BlackHatCoiner exit reminds me of Lauda's exit post years ago and with the help and service he has rendered to this forum the major reason why he will leave the forum will be real-life responsibility with the limited time he has spent on coding since he enthusiast of coding.
In the meantime, we can only guess the reason why he leaves until he tells us about it but he chooses to make it private, and since it's something that is worth it.

The thing is his thread was locked, it makes no one can respond to his farewell. So I still find a reason for @OP to create this thread. This is like the disappearance of Satoshi, he was disappeared since 2010, yet there's always an user open a new thread about "wHEre Is sAtOShI?"

Like I said before, I believe the thread was locked for good reason. It’ to me that the person doesn’t want people poking into his personal life. Why can’t we just let it be? Going by your logic, we should create a thread to discuss everyone who has left the forum from 2011 till date. be constructive or S.T.F.U
If someone wanted to tag the account just in case its hacked or whatever, that might even be ok. If he comes back he can ask that person to remove the tag.

What if that "someone" is gone too? the feedback will be there forever even if BlackHatCoiner proves it is him, the only other option to fix this would be to take that "someone" out of DT which would wipe all the feedback left by the DT member which could set some scammers free.

I think a tag is only valid if the person made it clear that they would never, ever under any circumstance come back to the forum like "Lauda", or if we know the person has passed away, otherwise, I doubt any tag is needed at this point.

I had many interactions on the forum with BlackHatCoiner, mainly technical related to Bitcoin, he was indeed a very knowledgeable person and was always open for discussion, he will be missed.

Slava Ukraini!
It's sad that another well known Bitcointalk member left forum. His time was relatively short here after signing up just in 2020, but he definitely left his mark on Bitcointalk
To @BlackHatCoiner if you're reading, good luck in your life outside forum and maybe you will return here one day!

He left the forum during theymos announce mixers to be banned, he's also someone who really care about privacy, so I believe that's should be the reason.
He said that he don't want to disclose reasons why he left. So, I think we should respect his decision and there is no need to look for reasons why he left or make conspiracy theories.

I do prefer a short "Goodbye" post over just disappearing, and making us wonder if he got hit by a bus. Cya BlackHatCoiner!
Yeah, Bitcointalk members aren't obligated to announce that they're leaving, but it's nice that some of them are doing it. There is simply too many members who left forum mysteriously without any prior signs and intentions to do that and it makes us think what happened to them.

If a person made a topic bidding farewell(as he did), is there a need for a topic to be created about the subject? Not jumping anyone here but let the man be IMO.
The thing is his thread was locked, it makes no one can respond to his farewell. So I still find a reason for @OP to create this thread. This is like the disappearance of Satoshi, he was disappeared since 2010, yet there's always an user open a new thread about "wHEre Is sAtOShI?"

It's different with the other user which I had responded, this one was obviously only bring spam.
