If a person made a topic bidding farewell(as he did), is there a need for a topic to be created about the subject? Not jumping anyone here but let the man be IMO.
The thing is his thread was locked, it makes no one can respond to his farewell. So I still find a reason for @OP to create this thread. This is like the disappearance of Satoshi, he was disappeared since 2010, yet there's always an user open a new thread about "wHEre Is sAtOShI?"

It's different with the other user which I had responded, this one was obviously only bring spam.

I saw his goodbye post two days after it was made and to be honest i was suprised, that is because he was communicating 'normally' in the days leading up to him leaving the forum, i mean he was very active until the day he left, so i hope the 'personal issues' is not so serious and he is fine in real life. BlackHatCoiner would be missed because he is so knowledgeable about BTC, so let us say our goodbyes and leave it at that, in order to respect his privacy.
When I saw the goodbye message I was curious to know why he left but he locked the thread which means he wants to maintain privacy and work away silently. He identified personal reason for this sudden departure and we can only assume the reason. BlackHatCoiner is very passionate about the forum that whatever that made him work away should be serous. However, there are so many interesting activities outside that forum that can make one take a break from the forum but we just hope that he is fine. I wish him well in his future endeavors.

His life in this forum is a lesson for everyone to live a good and impactful life. Almost everyone that have commented on this thread have spoken about his positive impact on the forum. His contribution to the growth of the forum will always be remembered. Just like BlackHatCoiner, we should leave a good mark in anywhere we find ourselves.

Such is life on a bitcointalk: some users come and others leave. One generation of users replaces others and the forum of members is being updated. Undoubtedly, @BlackHatCoiner’s departure is a great loss for the forum, but I am sure that no less trustworthy and respectable users will take his place. On behalf of the entire community, we wish him further success and good luck outside the forum and will try to accept his decision to leave as a given. Maybe, if he wishes, he will return. His work didn't go unnoticed and his statements in his posts remain on this forum, continuing to inspire a new generation of users like you, exerting your positive (or negative) influence. Farewell, @BlackHatCoiner.

quite sad that another good member left the forum, he made a choice not to specify the exact reason for leaving the forum and let's just leave it at that, I do hope he comes back to the forum again, his contribution here is recognized by a lot of members and him and his inputs will always be welcome by the community.

It is beautiful that so many legendaries have such a good opinion about BlackHatCoiner.

I know he watches this topic, I know he sees your goodbyes.

But yes, as many of you mentioned, let's support his choice to leave. As such, I will stop writing on this topic.

Don't forget, the community is still small, so we may be engaging with each other in other places, forums, sites, with different nicknames.

But somehow if there were anything to happen to his account then he would pm theymos for access back. Is that possible to happen?
If he decides to come back then account operates normally?
The admin will grant access after he signs the staked address (that is if he asked the admin to lock his account). I'm not too worried about that, BHC must have paid attention to the security of his account in the first place and prepared the necessary verification in case he comes back someday.

Hah. I completely missed his "goodbye" topic so thanks OP for bringing it up.

BlackHatCoiner is a quality and knowledgeable member and you can't say that for too many around here, therefore he will be missed. I just hope that those personal reasons are nothing serious and that we may see him again, preferably soon.

Thats inevitable I guess. Sooner some members here will either leave or also say goodbye or kinda busy with his/her another things to do in the real world. Surely the guy is an amazing one and been seen as one of the best conversationalist here. Another loss of a reputable and respectable member here.

Goodluck to your endeavor BlackHatCoiner.

I saw the topic, and naturally I was curious too. But, his choice, his privacy. So there's really no point asking him for more information.
I do prefer a short "Goodbye" post over just disappearing, and making us wonder if he got hit by a bus. Cya BlackHatCoiner!

BlackHatCoiner already made it public that he was taking a break from the forum for personal reasons and I would like to think he locked the thread to avoid these kind of discussions. Like OP, I will miss him but I don’t think it’s right to pry or make assumptions on the reason why he left.

Well, personal reasons are also said when one doesn't want to say the real reason, such as not being happy with the forum's ban mixer policy, as he was a vocal advocate of ban mixers and privacy during his time on the forum.

But of course, we can't really know why he left.

And I do believe that in a forum like this we can talk about the possible reasons for his departure, as long as we do it with respect.

The important thing is when a true Legend leaves the forum it weaken people because they plays a very crucial role in their lives, I can't count of how many people that has decided to take their leave but those that are really helpful to the forum whenever they take their walks it surely shows some loophole even though it's not practically displayed or announced by anyone but internally there is.
I've been here for years, and though I didn't interact with BlackHatCoiner all that much I agree with you that it sucks when a relative old-timer (there's not many true ones left from the early years) leaves, especially when they've had an effect on you.  I felt the same thing when Vod left, and even Lauda too, despite all the controversy surrounding the latter.  They both supported me early on, and it's strange to think about some faceless internet persona being able to evoke any kind of feeling--but I'm a creature born well before the internet was created, so that's probably why it seems strange.

But hey, BlackHatCoiner might return.  Seems like when people say goodbye to the forum, they usually can't stay gone permanently.

Thank you for understanding what I mean, just take for example you deciding to leave the forum or another person like Hugeblack I know it will affect us emotionally despite we aren't communicating facially or having personal relationship with any of you here but with the little lift and support you guys have rendered to people around forum especially to Local board will affect users. Personally I have never had any personal relationship (deep communication with anyone here) but I picked up upon myself to start following some of their footsteps then and it really helps me change my way of behavior and makes me stronger.

If he wanted to leave silently, he would do. However, he left a BTT goodbye topic, said they were personal reasons.
Let us respect his privacy and hope that he will be fine.

You are right sir
If at any point in time you decided to take a walk don't you think it will as well affect us just as he decides to leave for his personal reason?

You do not need to speculate on these reasons since whatever is proposed here will be incorrect, and only one person knows the truth.
Sometimes there are moments in life that force us to return from virtual life to reality, although I agree that being on the forum has also become important for many.
You are correct ma, we can't tell the truth of his reasons but only him can give us what exact reason he did that.
Most times I do consider the fact that people attack each others or have some problems or beefing each others while someone can decide to a walk out of here. My question is that what is the main reason for attacking each others or keep stirring up some unnecessary issues knowing that at any point in time anyone may decides to take a leave just as he did, don't we think it's right time to start being nice to people?

Farewell o_e_l_e_o
I checked on bpip, and it shows that the account is “abandoned”. This is quite different from the case of Lauda whom stated he’s never coming back to the forum, there is still hope that BlackHatCoiner will join us again.
Abandoned, Terminated are not statuses of those accounts, are not kind of badges on BPIP. They are personal texts of those accounts on Bitcointalk and BPIP shows exactly what it scrapes from the forum.

Now what happened to his or her account Locked or Deactivate?
It only can be locked if the user sends a request to forum admins like Lauda and it seems not a similar case for BlackHatCoiner.

He left the forum during theymos announce mixers to be banned, he's also someone who really care about privacy, so I believe that's should be the reason.

Yeah, I guess he want to speak behalf of users who really care with decentralization to let know theymos if those users would leave the forum due to theymos proposing to ban mixer, a kind of censorship.

From what he says, it's due to personal reasons. So let's leave it like that, of course we will missed such great person who has contributed a lot in the community. But I guess everyone has some important things to do in their lives right now that they prioritized it over our great community.

At least though he gave us the goodbye so that no one will speculate as to the sudden disappearance of this Legendary account.

BlackHatCoiner was truly one of the assets of this forum but I think he left the forum because he might have to do something which's more important than this forum for him. The guy has been very contributive and we all appreciate that but sometimes we have to take such decisions and that's basically for good of everyone. I wish that where-ever he is he may get all the happiness in the world and I'm pretty sure that he will be back on the forum when everything is okay for him.

The fact that people leave the forum only confirms that people have another life with its joys and problems besides the forum. But the man left with great politeness, making it clear to many that leaving was his personal choice, the discussion of which he did not consider necessary.

This is not a bpip classification, but it is a personal message, which you can find in his account.

He locked the thread because he doesn't want us to discuss his exit here. So, it will be fine if we respect his decision.
This is it, he don't want much drama for it. He just left peacefully and probably don't want to hear any goodbyes from the other members that he used to interact with.
I agree, that it's best to just leave it there and respect his decision because if he wants to get some discussions out of it, he probably would have left the thread open but no.
Many great people have left the forum but they're all welcome if they ever decides to come back at any time that they wish to.

And I agree that's the right way to go say goodbye with a short reason and no promises to come back when you are uncertain, someone will be missed because of his legacy when he decided to go so instead of people asking where he is he could be banned or make a lot of speculation he prefers to let us know.
Everyone deserves to be in a place that he wants to be and to do the things that he loves doing, but I'm sure he'll back it hard not to miss doing the thing you love doing all these years here in Bitcointalk.
