Lets get a High IQ thread going here.

What will blockchain look like in 2030? What will have failed? What will still be in existence? What portion of govs will utilize the blockchain? What things do you think will happen that might surprise us?

In 10 years blockchain will be used in our daily lives example is a receipt that put in the blockchain.

Sierra Leone started their own blockchain-based voting system, Russia is following its path to build their own.

It isn't really easy to just spell out things that would happen in 2030. I can only consider saying what's obviously going to happen. But then, a lot is going to happen, governments would still be fighting against bitcoin while some would agree to adopt it. Bitcoin would be more popular, it'll be worthing a whole lot of grands, More cryptocurrencies that can affect our daily living would be created. More projects that relates in different fields would be born( fields like music, movies, dancing, etc). And of course, we'll be celebrating 'Bitcoin at 20'

Every time people do a prediction for 10 years it goes very very far from what we can see, and the thing is technology progresses very fast in some areas, but not in others. For example flying cars people dreamed of in 1970s that would happen in 1999 still hasn't happened. But people doing Bladerunner thought we would still be using thumbprints in 2020 but we went far beyond;)

Now they are trying to apply Blockchain technology in many areas, from data storage databases to reporting on election results, we can only imagine what will happen in the future

Every country will definitely do their best to keep abreast of the times, where indeed at this time digital technology is one thing that is very much in need of course this is also inseparable from the blockchain technology included in the digital system.

Almost all fields seem to be more efficient if they use a blockchain system with transparent data openness so that all can see how the conditions and developments occur in the project.

Hopefully the blockchain will further develop so that the world of cryptocurrency is not something underestimated in the future.

Great point. I'm thinking govs will now have their own mining facilities, whether overt or covert, due to national security, because of a fiat hedge

1. BTCitcoin would continue to lead in the crypto market.
2. Platforms will be created that allow the management of digital assets more efficiently, faster, safer and within everyone's reach.
3. The world population could know more about Bitcoin, the crypto market and there will be more adoption.
4. The digital money that we have dreamed of for so long will reach more people to empower them.

Ok, I'll give my crystal ball a try and it goes a little something like the ff:

#1.) Aside from discussing Moore's law to death, it should evolve towards achieving the current limitations of blockchain technology.

#2.) Blockchain copycats or wannabees.

#3.) Bitcoin &/or whichever variant is still dominant, of course.

#4.) Those that are more open and not afraid of change, are the ones that would certainly try to utilize blockchain technology instead.

#5.) An heir to the throne of btc will rise amongst the altoins unexpectedly!

There are few companies now who have adopted blockchain technology behind in different cryptocurrencies. Because this has no borders and it is able to secure transactions between two parties that have to create transactions online. So, I did not have doubt that this technology will be leading in all establishments and companies who need a payment transaction process. However, I saw that they are begun to adopt this blockchain and usually in payment processor online.

USPS now has a page on blockchain.

Perhaps it is too early to speculate thing that will going to happen here on crypto, but I am pretty sure that government and banks will going to surrender contradicting bitcoin in many aspects, in short, banks and crypto will be friends, in addition, currencies will be digitalized as massive crypto adoption takes place. Right now, we're at a step closer to these changes.

I'm sure that the lightning network would be widely used by the government in the future and surely the whole blockchain will get updated and updated and grow faster than what it is now. And all wireless payment process we are doing now will be handled by the blockchain and help us do transactions way faster than the traditional one and our current estate of blockchain.
The thing that might surprise us is when the bitcoin network suddenly collapses and we were left hanging.

Which I doubt that Bitcoin will be gone, although, we don't know the future but as of today it is impossible that Bitcoin will collapse. Yes, some experts are already in the vision that Blockchain will be widely used by most companies as well as governments, it has a lot advantage that will help us hustle free and more convenient so no doubt about that.

Blockchain is a upcoming and emerging technology that can interrupt many established sectors from supply chain to banks. For transactions, blockchain makes thing easy by keeping record of transactions which can't be manipulated. A lot goes in terms of capital and labor, maintaining transactions which can't be manipulated and at the same time have integrity. Blockchain cuts the need of having heavy investment and can ease the work. This can be implemented in many sectors to cut the cost.

Blockchain will require a HUGE increase in efficiency before it becomes commonplace. Visa uses the electric consumption equivalent of 50,000 homes to process its billions of yearly transactions. The bitcoin blockchain consumes the electric equivalent of millions of homes to process a fraction of the transactions. The biggest obstacle to the adoption of blockchain will be environmentalists.

Furthermore cryptocurrencies not able to keep up with Visa when it comes to the amount of transactions per day without the blockchain getting way to large to store and handle, the blockchain will get too big to download so no new miners will join the network. Miners come and go all the time but if miners stop joining miners will leave which will weaken the security and make the blockchain more centralized and could kill a blockchain.

Blockchain will be a mainstream in the future because of its great feature that can be used by the individuals. This will lead to mass adoption of cryptocurrency as well. Adoption of blockchain technology will let people learn abiut cryptocurrency. But I bet some countries would create their own currency than letting their people use decentralized one.

I don't think so now, Starting of Bitcoin.. Cryptocurrency was in peak as a decentralize currency, people had started to invest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency for wasy and safe transaction, From 2018 cryptocurrency is falling continuously. Blockchain is also connect with Bitcoin transaction. its completely depends on the value of cryptocurrency in future. Cool
