In fact, they are down again. No need to panic. Next time when it goes up, just download the paper wallet backup of your wallet and preserve that securely. That's enough.

BC.i users - I can't stress this enough, please take heed of this advice.

If you want to see the transaction and you try through blockchain.info
Then i would suggest to add a new website in your bookmark Smiley
I personally use blocktrail explorer, it has a good UI and UX and simple do the job.
About the wallets you have different choices and read this topic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/best-bitcoin-wallet-1163283

Could you guys give me some advice of where to put my bitcoins if not in blockchain?

Lite weight wallets like Multibit or Electrum will do a job great. They are easy to install, setup, and also backup. You don't have to download the whole blockchain either and yes, they are never under maintenance and never you will have any problem like all of the people have with blockchain.info wallet.

Just go with any of these two and you will be fine!

A software based wallet will be a more secure wallet compared to web based ones ( like blockchain), so it's a good place to store your bitcoins but if you a more secured wallet and you have some budget to spend then check out those hardware wallets out there - best place to put your coins I guess.

I've made a little research and the results were pointing to bitgo. Is it safe ?
Basically any wallet listed here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet is safe. Bitgo is there, so it should be safe to use.

Use a desktop wallet, they are safer. I would suggest that you use Electrum on a desktop or Mycelium for mobile.

Back up and running smoothly for me at least for the last couple of hours, downtime isn't too uncommon with blockchain

If I had any money on blockchain.info I'd definitely take newIndia's advice---make sure you have your own copy of the private keys---what if next time they're down they don't come back up?  It's better to be safe than sorry.

Looks like they are back up now. Their API was down as well which messed up some of the blocks reporting on my site but no big deal. Too bad for BC.info they were just trying get over last week's fiasco and then they go offline for a few hours.
i can still see the message that they are under maintenance when i visit bc, man this is killing me. i would move my funds from bc once it's up.

yeah i'm not panicking lol i keep only small part of my bitcoins at bc, hoping them to get back up soon so i can grab my bitcoins off bc. Wink

I don't keep any of my coins at BC.info, I only use them for their API and websocket for web development. I think their receive payments API is unmatched by anyone in the industry even if they do go down from time to time. The only 3rd party that has a tiny bit of my coinage is circle everything else only I have access to.
