Second choice! Cheesy

I understand why many people are betting on short-term profits. In today's world, such opportunities are great when you are struggling from one day to another.

But as long as I am concerned... Well, first I guess that I am not so gifted for making short-term profits, and then I really think that the technology behind crypto and all that can be held within it, is far more important than just individual profits.

Bitcoin is indeed an opportunity to get rid of banks. Today, everyone has an account in a traditional bank and that's... completely crazy and utterly unbearable if you think about it! Banks are charging fees for things that are free for them, they completely control your money... That's unfair.

Thanks to new tech, we can now get rid of that. I say YES, let's do it! Wink
This is probably one of my biggest problems with banks, just look at bitcoin you can open a wallet for free with no charge and there are no charges either for having your money in there, but with banks they charge you for opening an account, they charge you for having your money with them they even charge you if you check how much money you have in your account, all those fees are ridiculous and that is why I support bitcoin 100%.

The blockchain technology is the one thing  that is keeping the crypto currencies driving so far. But is sad to say not many people involved in the crypto community know about the functionality of Bitcoin or the blockchain technology. Many traders who hold BTC or any altcoin are in it just for the sake of making money. There are numerous people who don't even know how blockchain works. I believe when people know about the blockchain technology more, may be that's when BTC and other altcoins will see its real value in price.

Are you interested in BTC for the mere fact that the price has been going up since its inception and you think it will enable to make a huge profit or you are interested because you know that the technology behind BTC (blockchain) will change the way the financial world works?

Honestly, you will not get good answer for this. Most of the investors/people have flocked to bitcoin because of its price and not because of its development.

I am more interested in the technology. Technology itself creates profits for us humans. The concept of blockchain is very good and the evidence is even banks look at the cryptocurrency market as a threat.

Like you said, banks look at cryptos as a threat, but eventually they will have to start adopting it or die. The next couple of years will be interesting for the financial sector.  Undecided

I did merely for the profit the first time I learned about bitcoin, and yeah exactly as I thought it is profittable Tongue

But after following this forum for a while now, joining bounties, it is getting more exciting as more idea and technologies are being invented and applied. Cant wait what the future will bring to crypto

I think the monetary incentive is an inspiration that drives me here and after that I get to know more about blockchain technology. However, blockchain is the future but I can't say same for bitcoin because blockchain is technology isva revolutionary in nature.

Making money with it is one thing a good investor cannot avoid but at the other hand the technology is that which is changing the finical world, that make both more important.

I know that the bitterness is far ahead of the blockchain from Bitcoin in the past. Bitcoin deposits are very easy to deposit, we believe that Bitcoin is not afraid to lose suddenly. So many people take a risk to Bitcoin.

first, because speculation, of course who is not interested in bitcoin when the price gets higher from time to time.
however, that interest turned into a pretty strong conviction as I learned little about the Blockchain technology that underlies bitcoin.
how not, now we have seen many institutions and companies that have begun to adopt this Blockchain technology.

Blockchain technology is a revolution in our century. Even if the price of bitcoin plummets down to the very bottom I would still be interested to use it. Real life scenarios where you can use bitcoin without showing your identity are a lot. In this age that we are living full of technology safeguarding your identity is top priority as if not safeguarded as you should hackers can get it and use it for evil purposes. Whenever you enter your email in every website you register for a service there is a high risk your email is immediately send to spammers who have paid for collecting email addresses. Blockchain technology and bitcoin does this, give you a upper hand in safeguarding your identity while transacting with bitcoin and cryptos that are based on blockchain technology.

Calling it a speculation looks dumb to me after this technology has been proving itself during these last 8-9 years.

Bullshit every coin and every wallet it hits is known. It's not anonymous.

Go exit to fiat see how much Id u need.

BULLSHIT LIES

Stop talking bullshit without knowing a dip shit about bitcoin and the technology it relies on. Every address is known but you cannot find it to which person it belongs as easy as you can find when you use your details when registering in some websites which offer different services. Sure you can fake details to free services but when you need to buy something you have to put your credit card into it or other identification documents. Best example are exchanges and payment processors like SKRILL where you cannot lift your limits if you are not identified.

On a bitcoin address you can use different tools and services to mix the coin until you forward it to a new address. This way bitcoin become from pseudo-anonymous to anonymous.

A first when I first heard of bitcoin I was intrigued by the technology but I thought that such a thing will not go far, oh boy how mistaken I was, after some time I heard about bitcoin again and I began checking the price, this was after the crash caused by Mt Gox, but I was still impressed by the price it had at that point, I realized bitcoin was unstoppable and that it was better for me to get in before it reached huge prices. So you can say that I am in bitcoin for both reasons, the tech and the price.

Of course, the economic incentive is very important but the clear technology that is going to change the world I like to be against the big powerful ones like the banks and governments that want to control us in all that is why bitcoin is for libertarians.

The second part, I am not a slot machine player and Bitcoin with it's magical block chain won't scale
and will be replaced with a block chain that will scale instead of budging it with something like Lightning Network
and trust me you don't want that because it is full of banking hubs

CPU-Wars between miners is a joke and is not need and other coins (Not ETH) can manage without it and they
scale but they implement BC using another number of methods but keep playing the slot machine, never sell and just buy
if you cannot reach a obvious conclusion here.

I’m interested in Bitcoin for the same reasons I fell in love with it some 3+ years ago. BTC itself as a payment system is revolutionary and likely the way money is headed, period, IMO. Now Blockchain is something entirely different and revolutionary in its own way. In fact, Blockchain has a higher ceiling than Bitcoin itself. The price rise has been a nice bonus to multiple new technologies I support heavily.

I would say that for both the reasons I'm here. Bitcoin has revolutionized the financial world and at the same time, it's the only investment in the world today which could give very high returns in a very small span of time.

I was here before pumps even started. But honestly, at first I was here for quick bucks. I thought when I can start signature campaigns, I can cash out it easily and I will be  satisfied.
Further I realized that there is more in bitcoin. Decentralization and not just monetizing.
I am still hoping for developments

I do believe both on what you have questioned. First i heard about bitcoins is when its price is rising up wellnin fact because of blockchain technology then i studied the blockchain and made me more interesting when i learned it on how it works. We cannot deny the fact that we are interested on bitcoin's price and the profit we can make out of it.
