yeah, as in the screenshot, seems to suggest its another address used (belonging to my btc wallet), just only used in some random txns.
xpub is only for getting full history of this BTC account....
Cointracker.IO is legit, was initially supprised when the xpub shows 3 txns, but looking on blockchain.com shows more than that...

Cheers.

I don't think I fully understand your question....

Blockchain.com is showing all transactions of a wallet; and the xPub can be used to do the same. I personally don't know cointracking.io; and neither do I know what you want to do with the master public key.

Change addresses are a feature that is enabled in most wallets to enhance privacy. If you make a transaction to a certain address, and the amount of coins you are sending is smaller than the one you have in the wallet; 2 things can happen:

It only sends a part of it and the rest of the funds remain untouched
It sends what you want to send, and sends the rest of the funds to another address within the same wallet. It's strange, but the change address can be the same one that is sending the coins (with blockchain, who knows)

You can also see the xPub key inside blockchain.com

Simple head to Bitcoin--Settings---Wallets&Addresses---Manage (on the wallet you want the xPub from)---More Options---Show xPub

I can provide screenshot if it's not clear enough, but it's kinda late and I'm going to have some sleep for the day. Will update it in the morning if you need so

Cheers, all backed up now, just looking though transaction history for BTC, the address ending in Efm (the 1 i got the xpub for) only initially shows 3 transactions when feeding the xpub into cointracking.io but looking on on blockchain.com theres more, but some random transactions show change address` (not all txns though) ??

Ok, managed to find email, and credentials and now can log in... Is there a way to get a xPub from the regular BTC address

No, It's impossible to derive the xPub Key from your bitcoin address.

If you want to know your xPub, go to "Security Center" an click on "Backup" button. Blockchain wallet will give you a 12-word seed phrase. (Keep these 12 words very secure, everyone has them can move your coins). Then go to iancoleman and enter those 12 words. It will give you the xPub Key.

Note:
For protecting your security, use iancoleman offline.

To the original poster, I highly doubt you are going to get back your Wallet ID if you don't remember the email address. Have you tried contacting their support? If by any means you can prove them that this wallet address "1A7o8maUg17eouBGuD9vVLJmZEPnprhEFm" belongs to you, there is a chance that they might give you just the wallet ID. You remember the password?
If he can prove ownership of that address "access to the private key" he can send the money "if he has any of them."
I don’t know what permission the support team can access, but Blockchain.info accounts is just an account that you can access your currencies, it has no meaning. The most important thing is to memorize the private key or wallet seeds.

There's no strong proof that op can offer to their support without having the email address or the wallet id, even he has the wallet id if he can't remember his password, there's nothing the blockchain can do about it.

Blockchain.info online wallet has the worst support ever pretending that they don't have access to wallets data which seems far to be true especially when it's about logins and passwords. I can't believe they don't have access to their servers tough. So don't expect them to be helpful if you ever forget or lost access to your wallet via standard way.
A friend of mine has a wallet that contains more than 2 btc, and has access to original email used for registration and also the wallet id and the phone number used for 2fa within the blockchain.com wallet, but unfortunetly lost the password; the support didn't even answer his emails sent along more than a year.

Compile all the emails that you had, on an email there is a search bar paste your wallet id and do a research on each email that you compile if any of the emails that you have has that wallet id then that's it you found the wallet where it is associated.
Read what the original post says. He doesn't have access to his email id which he used or doesn't remember which email address it was. He probably has tons o email ids. You are telling him to search his email by pasting his Wallet ID, lol if he know what his wallet ID was, he wouldn't have been suffering from this problem.

AFAIK Blockchain.info wallet suffers from problems with updating old database, and therefore all old accounts cannot access to them currencies "even if you remember your username/password/email." the only way to recover your files is by using wallet seed.

So if they do not update the database, you are looking for a "needle in a haystack" and you will waste your time.
This might be the reason why I probably can't access my account there with username. Before, you can have your own username there but when I've tried accessing my account using the username that I've made, they're not accepting it anymore. So, that database and file was gone but the wallet ID is still there.

And it's the thing that you need to gain access again to get back your wallet unless you remember the backup key. I've also noticed that the backup key became different from the known mnemonic phrase that they have given before.

Hi, just trying to get back into my old blockchain.info wallet
I have the public address which is 1A7o8maUg17eouBGuD9vVLJmZEPnprhEFm

But can't remember the Wallet I.D or the email I used when creating the account all that time ago.
When I try to login it says something about wrong format, something about w.i.f.format ?

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Do a "blockchain.info" search query on every old email accounts that you remember. I used to use Blockchain.info's wallet in the past for some spare change coins, so I've received emails from Blockchain.info before. Here's an email I received in 2017:

As you can see, my wallet ID is displayed.

Y know OP already got access to the coins, but for the newbies with the same problem the easy way is to get a reminder to your mail. for that, we just have to use this tool: https://login.blockchain.com/#/reminder

Is important to always have a backup of the private keys, because we don't really have the coins in the wallet, we have them in the address.

Bank statement says Qkos Ltd
Qkos Services Ltd. was the name of the company which initially set up blockchain.info and their wallets. They've been defunct for years. You can see their company registration documents here: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/05106799. Also see this article from Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jonmatonis/2012/04/26/be-your-own-bank-bitcoin-wallet-for-apple/#1de7507f9187

Blockchain.info is an offering from UK-based Qkos Services Ltd. that provides online wallet management services and real-time data analytics from the bitcoin block chain.

Your best bet to try to find out the vendors you used is going to be messaging blockchain.com's support.

DarrenJ1, even if you have ID you will still need password for wallet, and in case you enabled 2FA with e-mail you also lost, logging into that wallet seems like an impossible mission. The best way to find your ID is to try to remember what email you were using at the time, but still you will need your password for blockchain wallet. To the best of my knowledge, blockchain.com does not provide password recovery.

Fortunately, it really doesn't have any value in what's lost, so if you have time to dig through the past, you might find the information you're looking for Wink

Yeah, I don't have seed (hopefully won't ever need it) for the wallet, didn't realize importance of it back then... & there's nothing left in there, I'm trying to figure out what vendors it took me to when I bought BTC (directed via Blockchain wallet).

I know it wasn't localbitcoins, as apparently I registered there in Jan 2018, what other vendors were around in 2012?

Bank statement says Qkos Ltd

Cheers.

Blockchain wallet id format something like that "3d1f7363-f6b3-1705-le5c-e4dfc7k8192n" so you will need it if you wanna login. Check your all old email, if previously you had logged in then you will find in your email. Even you found your wallet id still you need your email access for verification. If you have seed phrase then create new wallet. If you have wallet file then likely fund would be recover somehow by bruite force. Click send my id then give your mail one by one that you have used before, so they will send your wallet id again. If you have forget password then likely need wallet file or seed phrase to recover. There is no any other way. No password reset option on blockchain wallet.

Seems your bitcoin address doesn't include any fund.. So if there is no fund on your blockchain wallet then just create new bitcoin non custodial wallet like electrum and verify signature. Otherwise buy hardware wallet like Ledger nano.

If it's just the transaction history of that one address you are interested in, then there is nothing your account could tell you that can't also find out from a blockchain explorer.

There are 6 outgoing transactions from that address: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/1A7o8maUg17eouBGuD9vVLJmZEPnprhEFm

If you desperately need access, you can place a wallet lookup request with blockchain.com support: https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000476563-I-lost-my-wallet-identifier-How-can-I-log-in

Alternatively, do you have the seed backed up anywhere?
