Blockfolio is still the best in terms of tracking the sum of your portfolio but as for Coinmarketcap it's best in terms of searching for a token and getting full details about such tokens

I have already met many such mobile applications on the similarity of Coinmarketcap and Blockfolio. But most of all I liked working with FinTab, the service is more convenient, also completely free.
I'm okay with blockfolio and I don't find it that I need to use another price tracker or portfolio manager.

These three are one of the popular ones that I'm reading here in the forum but majority are staying to blockfolio.

I am not even sure if the coinmarketcap application is legit because if there was an application most traders would be able to know and talk about them but as far as my friends know, they mostly use blockfolio for the list of their coins and tokens they have on hold. And same as mine, I only use the blockfolio app because it is updated and I a, comfortable using them as well.

Like you I didn't know that app of coinmarketcap, all I know is their main site. I'm now using delta app I downloaded it recently and it's great to use yet I'm not sure if it's now available in app store but in playstore it's perfectly working.

Hi.

I use both. With the Smartphone Blockfolio and the Computer Coinmarketcap. Find Blockfolio on the smartphone just clearer. But otherwise a big fan of Coinmarketcap

I recently saw Coinmarketcap rolled out their own portfolio tracking app (not sure how new it is) but it appears to have the same functionality as blockfolio, and I'd wager the same information hoovering (tracking your portfolio and using/selling that data to others).

Just curious if anyone out there has used both and has seen any clear reason for one over the other.

ALSO, does anyone have a FOSS/private application or system (besides excel) for tracking their portfolios outside these two apps or the few major websites that do the same thing?
I myself use several applications and analyze the market in accordance with the necessary criteria. For example, it is FinTab.io

How long do you use fintab? i'm using it for a long time, and my pro account is very useful.

I still prefer blockfolio on checking portfolio of coins, user-friendly application, almost all the coins tradeable are available. But we can still check the App if we can see any differences in the price of tokens, to know whos application is faster in updating its market price.

The existence behind both the applications were the same, each differ from one another on some factors. Coinmarketcap gives a combined data on the respective token /coin. Blockfolio helps with tracking of the price moves with the combined portfolio being added to the profile. This lets buying and selling easier.

Lately Blockfolio has been horrible: freezing and lagging. I suppose it's "too" popular.

Actually yesterday blockfolio is under maintenance and I don't know what's the maintenance is about, I just hope that they'll fix some issues in their application as sometimes their price doesn't match in trading platform.

Blockfolio is great but sometimes it bothers a lot regarding delay updates i mean not all transaction are recent most of it are hours passed even days so if you have coins and pump and you might found out in the actual exchange that the price move a bit since the price shown in blockfolio is delayed but all in all it's really useful app for traders Smiley
Haven't tried that Coinmarketcap app, will download it later.
