Both apps can check price but they are designed for its main purpose but coinmarketcap is better. Blockfolio is much focused on your portfolio while coinmarketcap has everything. The chart, social, gainers and losers and other tools that blockfolio doesn't have.

It would be great, if blockfolio could implement orders. I didn't see any other apps than coinmarketcap app and blockfolio, that show all charts and historical data.

I don’t think the coinmarketcap app is legit, I read it somewhere in this forum that they don’t run any app nor do they have anything to do with a created app but on the other hand I have been using the blockfolio for a couple of months, it works fine but sometimes they do have glitches from time to time.

Damn, blockfolio prank me once when I checked it and saw that my coin had pumped and i was so happy and immediately open ether delta but just found out that blockfolio had some glitches. So better to check it in the actual platform to avoid misleading info.
Btw, I didn't know that coinmarketcap had an app but reading the comments here I think it's not worth a try.

if there are two platforms competing to get the attention of consumers, then they will do various ways to make consumers comfortable

these two platforms compete, but ultimately we as a society that benefits

Basically these apps provide almost same functionality.
I have been using blockfolio for months now and it's pretty cool.
It provides easy functionality and accessibility.

Blockfolio is the best for me. This app is wonderful for fast review of portfolio. Very user friendly interface, alerts and graphs are the main features of the app IMO.

Oh! I didn't know coinmarket cap had an app! I'll have to check that out. I like blockfolio, but I hate how the graph is based on the price of BTC. So, if BTC is pumping, it drastically affects the coin's graph.

I used both Blockfolio and Coinmarketcap app
In My opinion both are good applications but Blockfolio is a lot more user friendly and has a better UI
But I like the Graphs Better in Coinmarketcap app
Also adding coins to Blockfolio take a little more time then coinmarketcap and you have to add the number of coins you bought more this can be difficult if you are mostly concerned with your total amounts.

I use both, coinmarketcap and blockfolio.
blockfolio I use to see the development of all the value of my assets, up or down and I install his app on android.
coinmarketcap also always i use in smartphone or on desktop to see price, volume and market an alt.

but for the blockfolio there are still some new alt which is not yet available.

Personally, I use Coinmarketcap for half a year and I love this app. There's a lot of coins and they promptly add a new one every week. I would recommend you Coinmarketcap.  Wink

I don't use coinmarketcap application but I'd like to share things I use.
I'm always using portfolio at cryptocompare.com. There are several reasons:
1. Synchronization. I can't use Blockfolio just because it's not convenient when you have more than one device. Moreover, there is no cloud backup.
2. Many portfolios. Blockfolio can't manage different portfolios while cryptocompare can.
3. Desctop version. I like to manage my portfolio via desctop - it's much more convenient than at smatphone.
Cryptocompare has cons too. For example, the lack of small cap coins.
But I use Blockfolio app too, for price alerts.

Totally agree.
BTW cryptocompare has very nice UI design.
