Hello guys my curiosity has really gotten the best of me. I was so eager to get involved in the trending Bitcoin currency that is everywhere in my locality. Bitcoin is acceptable in so many small scale business around me in my locality, I mean I had to just ask what was this all about and finally I was introduced here and since my coming I have Learnt alot and still in the process of learning. But I came to understand few things here which gave me the courage to wanting to purchase Bitcoin and keep it so I can see some tangible profit when the price go up . Although the purchase is small but you won't blame me as it's a first timer situation and in addition to the fact that the funds are not available enough for me but I just want to let everyone know am also a Bitcoin holder now and willing to purchase more as bitcoin is also a financial gateway to freedom of saving fund. But I really had to take my Time to understand the whole volatility of Bitcoin before taking this bold step.

So everyone should join me and celebrate this purchase as it went through without any stress and please help me show my image for other viewers as my rank prohibits me to
Congratulations guy, I don't care how many bitcoins you get what you earn from the fiat you use, it's a good move as a beginner, and to be honest I'm in the buying phase the first time buying bitcoins takes a very long time because of the environment I'm not very new to bitcoin and don't even seem to know the name bitcoin, maybe you can say that you are luckier than me. Keep taking some bitcoins consistently every week or month even with a small amount, I'm sure you will get profit and financial freedom. but maybe don't ever think that you are with bitcoin to get rich.

Wow, I'm surprised to hear a story of a person getting to know about Bitcoin because it's widely accepted by small-scale businesses in the area. My first guess was that it's probably in Nigeria, and then I looked at the op's posts, and it seems I was right (I now see a few others came to the same conclusion for various reasons). This country keeps amazing me, from what I'm seeing here on Bitcointalk. Congrats to the op on the first Bitcoin purchase and on being able to use it as money if the op decides to do that at some point.
Nigeria is starting to take more advanced steps compared to other countries around it, the large use of bitcoin as a means of payment in the country especially micro businesses shows that the interest of Nigerians in bitcoin is quite large at this time, as we know that El Salvador was the first country to adopt bitcoin absolutely at the moment but in my opinion Nigeria will probably follow El Salvador lead if later the Nigerian people can experience greater benefits from the use of bitcoin in their environment, especially since previously the Nigerian government has imposed restrictions on withdrawing fiat money at ATMs and this is aimed to accelerate the transition from using fiat money to using cashless (digital), thereby enabling the Nigerian government to make bitcoin an alternative means of transaction in the future.

Congratulations to you that have joined bitcoin and already dare to invest in bitcoin compared to the others. And that means you are one step closer to your goal of investing in bitcoin. And now, you have to be patient and hold on to the bitcoins firmly while continuing to invest in bitcoin and having more bitcoin in the future. And it is this one step that will trigger the next steps to invest in bitcoin and as long as you can understand bitcoin more, you will understand how to minimize the risk that will come.

Actually, this is the recommended way to invest in bitcoins when you are not the sons of the senators,  what I mean by that is when you are not really rich and you are just earning minimal income but when you have a big dream like this, you can actually make a huge stepping forward when you constantly buy bitcoins at its lower price because we all know that when the price will rise up to new ATH, there will be no other who will gonna benefit it but us bitcoins holders. Continue buying and don't listen to the critics, after all, it's your money and your dream.

I appreciate your effort of getting BTC and let your eagerness and curiosity increase and maintain them to the end. If not mind I will like to know your location (Region), I mean your country. Because your intonation sound familiar. There is a statement that you made that is trying to or really call my attention, which you said, small scale businesses accept bitcoin in your area. And I will dispute that fact even though I don't know your identity and location. I am disagreeing with you on that based on the countries that have adopted bitcoin as a legal tender yet small scale businesses are rarely accept bitcoin.
Again I appreciate you for the purchase of bitcoin.

I wonder how his intonation sounds familiar when you probably haven’t heard the OP speak before. And it isn’t really hard to know the location of the OP as it’s obvious the OP is from Nigeria(judging from the currency used in the transaction).

And I would also like the OP to tell us more on the small scale businesses that accepts bitcoin as a method of payment. I would surely be happy to see more small scale businesses accepting bitcoin as it would encourage more businesses to do same and increase its adoption rate.

Way to go rook! You should always look forward in having more and more fractions of Btc, accumulate as much as you can while the price is still at the "affordable" level (since that was your first purchase), you'll be surprised in a year or two on how much your money grow when Bitcoin hits another milestone.
Just always remember, the bigger your accumulated Bitcoins are, the bigger the return would be when time comes.
Another things is that, don't get carried away with the FUDS when Bitcoin crashes.

The Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step". The OP has taken the hardest step i.e. the first one. Once you actually jump into bitcoin you feel the freedom it has over the traditional financial system. Right now the price of Bitcoin is ideal for investment, as it wont go much down from here.
Keep accumulating Bitcoin in small chunks is the key to success in this sector. Its not how much you accumulate rather the consistency with which you accumulate aka DCA.

no small nominal problem to start investing. we get a lot of lessons in school regarding how we plan our future finances by investing and saving. and by buying Bitcoin gradually according to your means, it will be better for you in the future. there is no need to force yourself to buy in large quantities by selling assets or borrowing from your friends. it will take you at greater risk. Invest when you do have money.
I wish you success with your purchasing and investment planning with Bitcoin.

Congratulations for making your first crypto purchases. You made the right decision and in a few years you will look back at this moment and see that should have not worry so much about it. It's always good to first fully understand something before your invest your money into it. Volatility is back deal in the bitcoin market which worries some investors, but it's also that high volatility which lets the bitcoin price jump upwards 50% in a few months. Without volatility we wouldn't make a lot of money of it. Two things I recommend you to focus on, first of all make sure you have a secure wallet so that you don't face the risk of losing your coins. The second thing I would focus on is longterm growth of your crypto portfolio, keep buying new coins when you have some money to save and don't worry so much about shortterm price movements. When prices drop it's usually a good time to add to our holdings.

Op, congratulations to you you're no official a Bitcoin HODLer and as time goes on I believe you'll continue to accumulate more and more Bitcoin till eventually you get up to 1 Bitcoin.
And also don't forget to use a non-custodial wallet to keep your coin don't just pay for your Bitcoin and leave it at your exchange make sure you withdraw it. Because as we have all know Not Your Key Not Your Coin if you just let it rest at your exchange it's analogous as not having any coin.

I'm glad to hear that many businesses are accepting Bitcoin in your local area. I can't say the same thing about my local area. Sad
I wouldn't say that buying a small amount of BTC is a bold step. A bold step would be to put all your life savings into Bitcoin. I wouldn't recommend that, because the price volatility and all the ups and downs might influence you into making some wrong financial decisions.
You should remember that strong hands are the ones that will win and weak hands will always lose at the end.
Good luck with your Bitcoin journey, OP.

It's funny and because of the curiosity you feel in your local area, many accept bitcoin as an online payment option.

And I also congratulate you because at least you have taken the first step in saving bitcoin believing that it will give you good savings in the future. You did a good job starting here in the crypto industry business.

Well, first of all.. congratulations on your first purchase of some bitcoins, most people never take that step....even though they always say they want to do it.

You bought Bitcoin at the correct time, because profits can be made when people buy when the price is low. You are actually very fortunate, because you said a lot of businesses accept Bitcoin in your area, so you can use Bitcoin as legal tender. (Which is supposed to be it's primary function)  Wink

Higher returns when the bull season does arrive, but patience is key. There are essentially innumerable cryptos on the market that are worthwhile investments, but I'm sticking with bitcoin because of its steady and optimistic path. Every time bitcoin crashes, it typically retests back to the bull chart, therefore traders need to learn how to control their emotions. It was a risky move for me to convert the majority of my fiat assets to bitcoin this year. I'm aware of the market's high volatility, and it always has a positive impact on bitcoin when it reaches a bullish point. However, when it is bearish, there are good opportunities to buy more bitcoin.

Welcome to the Bitcoin club!
$5 worth of Bitcoin today might be work $50 tomorrow, who knows!?
Not tomorrow for sure. Thats too optimistic lol.
The mass adoption is coming boys BTCBTC
It is already adopted massively. The richest man on earth now talks about it freely, what else do you want to call it mass adopted ?

@OP, your privacy and maybe security is at risk by showing your order id in your screenshot. You should never post your trading screenshots or wallet balance in an online forum. Scammers will start DMing you.
I would suggest you to remove it right away and also the ppl who quoted the screenshot should edit their posts.

No need to be so happy with what you have started to do because it is only the first step and it would be better to maintain the confidentiality of the assets you have, seeing from the picture you included is the nigerian currency, it would be better for you you to join the community Local and learn more and if possible because you buy in a small amount to make purchases through P2P but must be with a trusted person in your local community to reduce the cost of withdrawal and remember to maintain the confidentiality of your private key.

It is a good start no matter how big or small your investment is, as long as it is open to your heart. We don't know how big your profit will be in the future. Try to accumulate bitcoin overtime, like buying small sats every time you receive your salary, so that you can accumulate bigger bitcoin overtime. Also, I am not sure if you are aware, but it is safe if you transfer your bitcoin away from exchanges, as you know from the cases that happened last year about exchanges, and it is not safe.
