May be a newb question, but... After my first:

Pool 0 communication failure, caching submissions
Pool 0 communication resumed, submitting work

About 5-10% of my hashing power falls to my backup pool. It will remain there for as long as the machine is running. How can I point that hashing power back to my main (this) pool? Currently, I don't have a second pool setup, but it is risky. I'm using cgminer 2.2.1.

BONUS PPS POOL NAMECOIN STIMULUS PACKAGE:

Ok ok the topic is a bit tongue in cheek but the random winner selection have been narrowed down and the needle pointed towards: FARFIMAN

Please email me your namecoin address and I will ship you the 500 NMC  Cheesy

ps. I will redraw if farfiman doesnt claim the prize within 24hrs cutoff time 16 March 00:00:00 UCT+2

So is this doing MM now ?

Do we get the NMC or you keep them ?

I don't think merge mining gives you 20% more profit than BTC alone but I may be wrong.

Someone needs to run some numbers if they can ...

To answer you, no I dont merge mine this was a special prize for comments made by those who _ACTUALLY_ mine with us and is coming from my own namecoin funds.

I pay BTC and thats what miners get, however I am thoroughly confused at the comment: "Do we get the NMC or you keep them?" considering up to this day you havnt mined more than 10000 shares on the pool Wink

well im pretty sure its a bug but the website is saying that i am mineing at about 15ghz when i know i am not lol

Yup its due to how we currently update at longer duration as noted in previous email, it will be rectified with the new updater so for the time being the hashrate wont be accurate.

UPDATE :

Please check your miners urgently, Ive noticed my phoenix2beta seems to hang for some reason earlier and just kept cycling through work queue. Other miners poclbm, cgminer had none of these issues.

Ive emailed everyone as soon as I noticed it.

Website is down also I assume with server changes? Anyone else having issues with website? My miners are mining, but website is down. They switched from my back-up pool back to this pool.

Website was never down even when I had pool down couple of times during the last 24hrs.

That said, I think I nailed the last of the bottlenecks as indicated by last email.

I agree with the above posters. I started mining on this pool within it's first week.

You NEED a back-up pool set, so I stopped for a while due to some rig rebuilds, moving away from linux to windows and overall pool instability. Clipse stayed on track with emails, both group and individual. All payments made as promised with bonus and pretty stable pool for the past week.

Certainly making more here than at a typical DGM pool or other non-hoppable pool. Never used other pps, so not sure about that. I assume since this is PPS +15% then it pays better.

I'm back on with this primary and other established pool as back-up and will be adding about 3 more GH/s soon to this pool.

I currently have 7.5 GH/s +/- at this pool.

Great pool if you want the bonus without using systems like hopping, etc.

P.S. I don't care what he's doing with my hashes, he pays me for those so they are HIS.

I'm certain he's not working toward a 51% attack which would be my only concern...lol

A more detailed web interface would be great, but he's focusing on the mining first which is the proper priority.

UPDATE :

As stated in email, sorry for the issues the pool may have caused to some miners today due to us testing different routing and server changes.

We want to finalise all server related changes before Friday so trying to get alot done.

Bonus Pool Rocks, where else can you get 100%+.

Tried goats service at first and quickly realized it was garbage and switched to clipse. Have been mining ever since.

I was worried that I wouldn't make more btc than on MTRED due to stability issues, but everything has worked out well above expectations.

Some of the payment delays where frustrating but as previous users stated, pool users where always informed and most importantly correct payments where always made as promised.

Only thing that i would like to see is a few extra stats, 24hour avg would be amazing, especially if it's a rolling average like btcguild.

Thanks for having this pool, I hope to continue mining.

I have also been on the pool from day 1.
It has been a very shaky 1st month but:

-I never lost any hashes since it went to my backup pool.
-It was quite interesting to see the pool progressing as it did ( and still is).
-Communication with the OP is great.
-And of course the bonus 15%

I have no problem with the twice a week payouts , although it's
a bit harder to track with the division of reg/bonus payouts on different days

Hoping to get more info on the website - not majorly important  but would be nice.

Would like to have password for log in.

In short - If it continues to be stable and reasonable reject % ..I'm staying Smiley

*My feedback (because I want those NMC  Grin) *

I'm there since Day 1, and it has been unstable for almost the whole month. Prepare yourself one or two back-up pools, you're going to use them. It's been a lot better in the last 10 days, and I hope those horrible days are behind. What kept me here was the great communication Clipse offer. There was no bullshit, he was always fast to explain every situation with this pool. If something happens, you know about it.

The "two times a week" payment is not something I enjoy that much. I feel safer when my money is in my pockets, and not waiting on a pool. I've lost BTC before with hacked pools, and I don't like having a big amount waiting.

Overall:
+ Great communication
+ Bonus Fee(15%)
- Unstable for a long time
- Payment

You know, in my experience, most pools start having problems when they have too many users/connections.  This typically happens way before they reach the hashrates they think their servers can handle.  I'm sure handling everything manually makes more users a PITA to test with, but if you want to be stable when you go public, you probably really do need a bunch of small users unless you are going to have minimum hashrate requirements when you are public too.

For now I prefer to manage fewer users with higher hashrates(this is simply to manage testing of massive getworks with more ease and less users to worry about), I will before moving public take the next step of getting more lower hashrate users connected to test exactly what you implied ie. getworks from vast amount of ips and see how that copes.

The BETA is slow moving but I am not in a rush to put something out for general public miners if I am not 100% confident there wont be small/stupid issues going along with it.

Once we go public the minimum hashrate is going to be removed in favour of payment scheme that is PPS however the more loyal you mine the higher payout you receive automaticly scaled etc.
