I'm not syncing either.  Downloaded Win wallet from website, used the posted config, and tried all three rpc port numbers (announce post number, also 9527 and 9955) with no luck.

server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9335
addnode=50.7.31.186
addnode=14.200.124.9
addnode=14.200.134.9
addnode=198.23.71.110

I don't see anything wrong.  Maybe someone else will.  Thanks!

Downloaded the wallet, and wanted to look at the source, but the tar.gz file doesn't seem to be a gzip'ed.  what compression format it it in?

Code:
/borgcoin$ tar -zxvf borgcoin-src.tar.gz

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

it should be .rar

 sorry to be such a pooh, still no joy

  evidently the new wallet won't run in winXP (the first one did) coppied the folders from the virtual XP to the host w/win7, no problem..
anyway, thanks for the help.

I don't see why it shouldn't run on xp when you made the previous version run.
There was no change in the code except for the difficulty adjustment and not the os compatibility.

just make sure that its a clean install.

thanks

Looks like this coin has a lot of potential and the devs are active and always online.

Keep up the good work guys. Once this coin is listed on an exchange with a decent exchange rate I will offer to accept borgcoins on my ebay sales page ads. I am selling ant miners S1 and S2 on my ebay ads. Please pm me for details once you get listed on the exchange and will also spread the word with my friends who also sells on ebay and on their own websites.

Got 100k brg coins already after mining it for a few days. fastest coin for me so far. :-)

staying away from this coin probably b/c I can't comprehend how the title is bringing order to chaos and not something involving the you will be assimilated phrase.

The title Bringing order to chaos is the Borg Queen's objective hence the reason they assimilate other species while the phrase "you will be assimilated is nothing than a borg drone's declaration of war before they assimilate a ship or a planet or anyone of interest to the collective.

If you have time you can read the first page of this post and you will know what the coin is all about and whats its purpose. If you still cannot comprehend that please feel free not to mine this coin.

thanks

If all goes well we should be seeing borgcoin in one of the major exchanges by within next week.

Fingers crossed.

Word of advise, Please do not dump whatever borgcoins you have once on the exchange as you may not know of how much borgcoin will reach in value once we have the offline and online shops starts to accept borgcoins for their merchandise.
