Cryptopia is attempting to extort 2BTC plus institute KYC requirements for the entire dev team for each coin... seemingly randomly right now.  HBN was the first to get hit.  CAP can't be far behind.  If you're still on Cryptopia it might be a good idea to think about switching exchanges.

Trading in the DOGE market started to almost slow down to a halt at Cryptopia like it did about five months ago and then they delisted all those coins last week which sped it up again.  There are a lot of good exchanges that have opened up in the last six months.  Coinex.com is definitely one of them.  Novaexchange is not open to USA accounts, but they may be willing to take Bottlecaps.  I believe sometimes they are free.  Also, Tradesatoshi seems friendly to coins like bottlecaps and I think they tried to list us a while ago.  We should update Coinmarketcap about these changes.  But we always have to be careful.  Mercatox got hacked and so far it's been over two weeks and many assets are frozen although they keep trading and adding coins while probably 50% of people's balances are frozen.

for the "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old." message, chances are the checkpoint server is not running.

I wouldn't worry much about the warning message, just check the block explorer, and the exchanges height.
keep in mind that cryptopia is not 'real time' - so they will be behind a bit (around 15 minutes?)

*checkpoint server is just a normal wallet, with a special 'key' in the config file, normally ran by the dev.

This coin really stakes well!  Hard to decide on favorites, but this one really is up there with Truck, VersionCoin, and CompoundCoin for holding value and retaining stakes.  CompoundCoin I have to keep buying to get frequent stakes on.  It gets to be a point where you don't seem to be earning interest anymore, just keep putting more money in.

For me it's HYP, XRA, CON, TRK

Blockchain was syncing no problem until I woke up this morning to a wallet that said "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for the blockchain to download, or notify developers.". Blockchain is not downloading anymore.what am i doing for this?

'getcheckpoint' and 'getinfo' both give me the same block height = 3925235

I'd go into your BottleCaps.conf file and add in the nodes from https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=CAP and/or http://cap.altcoinwarz.com/network.

addnode=65.102.140.118:7685
addnode=149.56.183.177:7685
addnode=62.64.86.44:7685
addnode=24.234.35.51:7685
addnode=89.236.137.142:7685

Save the file, restart and re-sync. Let us know if that dosent work out.

re-sync = check wallet is not it right?

I am having trouble with wallet now. i have had it staking for the last  two months since i did paperwork for friexchange.  all of a sudden on aug 13 my wallet will not stay in sync.  what is happening? does anyone know, i need to fix wallet.

Do you have connections? You can try to add the following nodes to your config file.

addnode=65.102.140.118:7685
addnode=62.64.86.44:7685
addnode=24.234.35.51:7685
addnode=149.56.183.177:7685
addnode=69.193.127.122:7685

If it don't help you are probably on a fork and need to resync.

Needs more trading activity. Seems to have stalled.  Roll Eyes

There is just no buyers. And that is really not that strange considering the current state of the market overall and caps position.

Not much sellers either.

Speaking from my own experience as a trader, the current state of the market is an excellent time for trading even more so and not just when things are going well.

Of course there's no selling. There's literally no buy support. If someone put up a 1 btc buy order at 5 satoshi it would be filled fast.

Anyone notice their deposits not going to Craptopia?  My last deposit timestamp is:

Quote
11/08/2018 2:53:47 AM

Block Height = 3838315

Current height as of this post = 3839489

That's 1174 blocks behind...

EDIT:   Coin info says there are 0 connections for the blockchain...

it says 0 blocks as well, means they're restarting smth, the wallet or the whole server

They're back up.  I did submit a ticket... apparently it worked.
