OK, it looks like this coin officially doesn't have a Dev anymore.  In fact, if you carefully read the thread over the last year, Tranz never stepped up to be the Dev chief, he just stepped in to do some emergency programming.  Right or wrong?

We need to get a dev to get the deal on altilly, or do a takeover with a core group of people.

So much for tranz doing his many thousands of hours of work to increase the CPU efficiency in exchange for the millions of CAP he took. Personally I would have liked to see those CAPs go to the community so we could use them to fund a dev... anyway.

I nominate you to be on the dev team. just because you might not code doesn't mean you can't market the coin and get in touch with that exchange. I'm happy to make small changes to the code, however I've never really dug too deep into the code to know about making any big changes. Worst case we can always just cut and paste bits from hobonickels  Grin

OK, sounds like you're in, too.  I do have some coding background but haven't done much in last ten years.  I would like to get help in setting up the coding environment for QT wallets.
so glad to see some of the ole favs are getting back in action. next couple of months im gonna get busy investing in this coin as well some others im noticing are coming back too life. good luck to dev and the team. May you all prosper and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Smiley

but i'm down from 18 to 1 connection lately.
where is everybody?
please addnode=coins.dognose.net

addnode won't help if you'r off  the main chain and being banned by network.
check your last hashes against explorer, resync from backup if necessary

i match the explorer at cap.altcoinwarz.com

it says a lot about how unusable crypto coin tech is if the first assumption for a problem is the wallet going off chain.
this will never endear itself to the greater public.

depends on what you forgot to mention.
did you restart wallet or not, changed port or router settings or not etc.
nobody's obliged to add the node, if you want your node be welcome quickly by network's majority
as HolyWilly said make it visible on default port

if been visible on an incoming accessible default port for nearly 3 years 24/7. and yes i've restarted the linux daemon. and no i dont expect/demand people to do the addnode, i was merely suggesting if the network was getting frail in any way they are welcome to do so. i still have a couple connections so its not like the daemon has failed in some odd way.
and of course why dont i have more outgoing connections too? why dont other people open up their ports for a change?

eeesh, such agresive response to a simple observation/request. perhaps i'll dump my trivial holdings and move on. the wallet demands too much cpu anyway. hopefully i can get $10 for 360k coins.

My wallet just acted as if I never set a password and encrypted it.  Does anyone know what that is from?   It's the second wallet to ask me that in the last week.  There were a lot of power outages.

usually (99.9%) that means you really forgot to set a password for this particular wallet.dat )
or you keep getting all sorts of failures because of power outages,
if it cuts your PC by surprise you can end up with any sort of trouble with the wallet,
if db files not properly written to disk.

Yes, I might have taken it from a thumb drive that had the first copy.

Check your router, you was on default port, now not. Set port forwarding.
I think it is your address : "23.233.2.252:53841"

I agree there are a lot of lowlife's attacking crypto, but I think this was related to the power outage my area had because of a storm.

I replaced wallet.dat and it synched up and starting to stake.

I'm glad to hear that everything is okay with your wallet mate. Yeah I had something similar happen not long ago when there was a storm and the wallet had an error so I had to delete everything except for the wallet.dat file and re-sync from the start. Now when I know there is going to be a storm I shut down all my staking wallets just to be safe.

Note the edit to the above comment.  It was a problem with wallet.dat which seems a bit suspicious.

Denarius was hacked so I have to ask if you have this coin on your PC? If so it could be because of this or could CAPS be hacked as well?

Its been a bad start to the year so far with all these hacks so we must all try and be safe out there. I hope everything is okay with your wallet, please keep us updated.

Something odd happened to my wallet while it was running.  It said it had an error reading wallet.dat that the history was wrong, that it showed a false blockchain.  Just writing this in case anyone else is experiencing it. Going to restart it and give more information after that.  It's on a staking computer so something this process takes a bit of time.

The coin is staking fine and we have at least one exchange.  We need to develop a marketing team.  I don't think Tranz is posting much anymore here.  November 06, 2018 since he logged in last time.  There are enough good people who posted to this thread and some must be staking or maybe at least have some in their wallet whether online or not.  We can't prosper with just being on one or two small exchanges.  We need a vision to build up something, some way to develop another exchange or capital for it in trusted hands.
