I have a question as well. Can I stake in a Cryptopia wallet or do I need my wallet open on my desktop ?
Can I shut off the computer over night ?

I would like to know the answer to that question as well.  To get the interest does the computer have to be on all the time?

Hello,

I have a newb question.  First, thank you for taking the time to read and answer my question.  I read online that Hobonickels and Bottlecaps are both pretty high POS coins, HBN being 100% and Bottlecaps being 200% a year.  It also said the developer is pretty active which is always good.  I was wondering if those interest rates are correct?  And are those rates reduced every so often?  And if so what does that chart look like?  I am not too worried about the lack of volume on exchanges.  I think more and more exchanges will pop up, as time goes on creating spots for lesser known alts.  I always thought Hobonickels was a joke, but after looking at the high rates, I am serious about diving in.  This would be a buy and hold play.  Thank you.

Just figured out my issue was an unrelated mem leak from network drivers

On another note, I cant seem to compile the coin on linux, anyone have any suggestions/common mistakes made? Ive compiled plenty of other coins just fine.

I just bought some off cryptopia. Btw anyone get abnormally high RAM usage from the wallet?

I'll second this. Anyone else seeing other strange stake issues?

My current Wallet PoS weight is almost 15x the PoS Netweight of 804625. I have one or two 30+ day big old blocks of caps that are only accumulating weight. I ran a Check/Repair with the same wallet weight bloat.

Correlation is not causality but the PoS rate has been climbing fairly high lately and my wallet is open 24/7 with minimal result.

My wallets seem to behaving normally.  Over the last couple stake cycles I have migrated from my primary wallet being on windows to one on linux.  No weird issues of note with either.

I wonder if the community is willing to make a fund raiser of 0.5BTC for YObit.

here's how it works over there:

To add a new coin to Yobit please you need to fill out the form below.
Payment method: YobiCode
Listing type:
• Free - 0.00 btc - no guarantee
• Premium - 0.1 btc - 2 business day
• Exclusive - 0.5 btc - 1 business day + mail alert to all users

-

0.5btc is very good publicity for (CAP) bottlecaps.

what are you guys thinking about this? because we are not going anywhere right now.

I think we're doing just fine on Cryptopia.

I agree. Cryptopia has been very good for my total CAPs accumulation; definitely a buyers market. When there is more of a visible web presence then Yobit and other exchanges may be a good idea.

what we need is to create a wallet with btc or bottlecaps donations and give it to an exchange so they take us.

cap is going nowhere now, cryptopia is very small and the actual price is wrong.

caps worth at least 1000sats not 200sats...

There is no volume on Cryptopia, that is why price is very low. We need to push to go to C-CEX it is a lot better than Cryptopia.

How long to you think before C-CEX delists Bottlecaps.
They delist for low volume, Cryptopia does not , and Cryptopia has more tradeable coins.
Cryptopia is a Great Exchange!

However you do want more than 1 exchange.
Yobit is like .1 btc to get added just contact them to verify price.
Or
https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/newcoin
Buy & Donate 10,000,000 microCoins and coin will be listed in here.

 Cool

FYI:  In the C-CEX Exchange Delisting News

We have to free up server resources for new coins by delisting some coins which have consistently low trading volume.
The following coins will be removed on 19.03.2016 if their average trading volume for the last month has not exceeded 0.2 BTC/day (or 6 BTC for last 30 days):

1337 [1337], AdvancedInternetBlock [AIB], AmsterdamCoin [AMS], AntiBitcoin [ANTI], Argon2Coin [AR2], AmeroX [AX], BitBay [BAY], BitCent [BCENT], BitcoinTX [BTX], Bitquark [BTQ], Burst [BURST], BowsCoin [BSC], GlobalBoost-Y [BSTY], CarbonCoin [CARB], CryptBit [CBIT], CandleCoin [CD], Cloud Mining Asset [CELL], CryptoEscudo [CESC], CleverCoin [CLV], ChipCoin [CHIP], CrownCoin [CRW], Crypto [CTO], Cypher [CYP], Deutsche Emark [DEM], DraftCoin [DFT], DigitalCredits [DGCS], Fantom [FNX], FujiCoin [FJC], GuccioneCoin [GCC], GlobalCurrencyReserve [GCR], GameCredits [GMC], GongYiCoin [GYC], IslaCoin [ISL], Kcoin [KC], IncaKoin [NKA], LiteStarCoin [LTS], Lyrabar [LYB], MapCoin [MAPC], MobileCash [MBL], MotoCoin [MOTO], PrimeChain [PRIME], NewCoin [NEWC], NinjaCoin [NINJA], DNotes [NOTE], Quedos [QDOS], RainbowGoldCoin [RAIN], SaveAndGain [SANDG], ResumeoShares [RMS], SecretCoin [SCRT], SmileyCoin [SMLY], TurboStake [TRBO], StepsCoin [STEPS], UCoin , WorldPay [WOP], BitZeny [ZNY].

I couldn't agree more. For the trade volume of CAP (or HBN or that matter) Cryptopia is perfect.
And the 200 sats is just the price at the moment. If you think that's low, buy some. If you think it's high sell some.

If the coins did not make it into the block chain then try: repair wallet, then, if that does not work, salvage wallet and finally delete all roaming except wallet.dat and restart wallet which will re-build the chain. Your roaming has a chain where you tried sending. A new chain should only show what really happened in the chain. Good Luck. There is another command zapwallettxes=1 which rebuilds your wallet showing your address txes that took place in the chain but I don't think it is available in CAP

Hopefully others may be able to help more.

Thanks Woody for the ideas unfortunately nothing worked. Repair the wallet saw nothing wrong and rebuilding the the block chain and block index did not work. I guess the coins are lost unless there is a way to tell the wallet to unsend the coins or mark them as not sent, those coins are lost. Fortunately it is not my main wallet.

If the issue is :
when you view the transaction , it stays unconfirmed .
(Make sure it is connected to Peers , otherwise you have a firewall issue)

Click on Help, Debug, Console,
Type in repairwallet , after the wallet is repaired , the amount in overview should include the unconfirmed amount, Close the wallet , then reopen the wallet , after being open a few minutes , it should resend the transaction automatically.

The trick is closing & reopening the wallet after the repair and just letting it sit for an hour or so.
(Wallet has to be in sync and No staking until the transactions are sent)

 Cool

FYI:
Only other option is to get your last wallet backup instead and open it with a -rescan to make sure the coin amounts are correct.
The failed sends won't be in it, but the 1st method has worked for me. (it is the waiting that was hardest)  Smiley

FYI2:
If you don't have a recent backup and are running windows , you can use shadow explorer to get a copy that is only a few days old.
