10k by the end of 2017...20k by the end of 2018 is what some Banksters are saying.. Grin
put more faith, it might decrease now but look on it maybe next year, you can guarantee earning thru long term engagement than watching it in just a few months, though since its Sept. post I bet the OP already experienced pump and realized it now.

And congratulations, the worry has changed to more than 70% profits. I'm worse than you, buying at $5200. But, I am really happy to be patient and haven't sold 3btc that i bought at that time until now.

The current BTC price has risen to 7,434. So if you buy at over 4000 then almost double property. I believe the BTC is strong again, it is great investment is beneficial. Congratulations to those who own BTC.

You paid 4600 now its 6400..be worried..be very worried..at how great you did lol
Your post was written like two days ago, and bitcoin was at $6400?  I must have missed that.
Like daylight savings for the bitcoin market or something.  We're at $7400, brother, and we've been
above $7000 for a few days now.

And yes, OP here was worried that he overpaid for his bitcoin at $4600...crazy where it is now.  He's
probably off on his yacht somewhere, living it up with the money he made.  Must be really nice, no?

Anyone here buying bitcoin at $7400?  What do you guys think about it now?  If I had some extra
money, I might try it.  As it is, I'm just trying to save what I earn from this campaign.  It's harder
than it looks. Sad

the value plummeted (it's now hovering just above $4000, that's a 13% decrease). Lesson learned I guess.

And now you're up over 50%. Did you learn the HODL lesson?
Holding is very easy I do not get why more people do not do it and while you may think that will be enough for a person to learn their lesson I have seen people develop feelings of hate, I remember a friend of mine invested in bitcoin before it crashed and he lost a lot of money and to this day he claims bitcoin is a scam even if we know that is not the case.

Price doesnt really prove anything, its still best to buy in regularly as it can be far longer to rise overall.  In 2017 however there is a trend up so you picked the right year but I would not assume it will always act positively in this time frame.  Tthe negative news narrative can sometimes be called the wall of worry, where news is negative vs a positive trend and people say this is more bullish.    The coin itself doesnt earn or return an investment, its closer to a commodity traded.

Hey guys, new member here Smiley

I've been watching Bitcoin's development since early August this year, and I finally gave in and bought 1 BTC for $4600. I didn't wait because I figured the value could easily break the $5000 barrier at any time, and if the price would suddenly normalize above that level, 1 BTC would be outside my budget.

I probably went OCD on the matter and should've waited instead of having to have 1 full BTC, especially since the ICO-related news from China were still pretty recent.

Anyway: the 2nd wave of news regarding shutdown of local exchanges hit hours after I made the purchace, and the value plummeted (it's now hovering just above $4000, that's a 13% decrease). Lesson learned I guess. I've been lurking on the forums for a couple of months trying to pick up some sound advice from you guys, and from what I've gathered I should stick with holding for 5-10 years instead of panicking. But honestly, it's tough to ride the lows.

Any words of encouragement? Grin I guess I'm not the only one who've had a nervous start in the world of cryptocurrencies. Anyone else feeling like they "need" to acquire 1 BTC before the train leaves the station for good?

Well heads-up buddy your risk paid-off, like any other investor here in forum! Firstly, congratulations on your investment since currently, bitcoin prices are starting to skyrocket as of the moment, reaching the $7000 mark. Second, it is true that due to bitcoins decentralized nature, no one can actually predict the final outcome of bitcoin especially when we are talking about the future. It is very hard to predict also its price, given its high volatility and that is why people just invest, hoping that their risk will pay-off (like what you did!). You are one of the living example that profited from investing and let this be a lesson for all young investors to take the risk!

Just a note: Bitcoin is ×10 of its price in 2016 although the price was very fluctuate. you just need to hold and ignore everything else, fud, media, panic.....
Your right sir if you brought a lot of bitcoin since 2016 but if you buy your bitcoin in $4600 there's no need to worry about that because bitcoin value now it raised up into $7000 I think you also lucky. Due to your investment in bitcoin are already earning, so maybe a little bit more holding your amount, because there's a possibility to increase it more. Who knows maybe your bitcoin will earn 10x or more in the future.

I really doubt the story is true but if it is what you did was irresponsible, but at the same time bitcoin show to us that even if a person without knowledge about it invest in it the profits can be amazing, this person has not been in bitcoin for two months and has huge earnings already.

Firstly - dont worry because Bitcoin will break through this
current negative cloud. There is uncertainty in the market
which is driven mostly by misinformation both negative and
positive and also by panic and people driving the panic lower
to buy more at a lower price.

If you feel you can you could always buy another bitcoin at
a lower price like $3500 to lower your average outlay at
$4050

Panic over!
There will be people who have bought bitcoin at $6500 and $7000
and when the price fals will he panicking thinking it will never go back
up. This thread is proof that it always recovers.

Look at it this way

if you bailed just after gox high 2013, you could have cut you losses from say 200$ a coin versus 750$ a coin, and doubled down at the low and purchased in and held....but how would you know the timing?

if you just hodl you would be up about 3~4 times now.

So buy in now and you may be at 60K or 100K in 5~7 years time.

how do you feel about the difference of $7000 a coin, and the other $53 K you would have.

the $7000 now is insignificant.

I recall back in the day being concerned about the high percentage margin I had to pay to acquire some coins it was about 7%, where I was, concerning at the time sort of inconsequential in retrospect.

You have to step back and take the long view.
That is the correct way to view things, but how many people are able to hold for so long? Not many, most people especially people born in this technological era cannot wait, they want everything right now, they want to make profits fast, it does not matter that bitcoin is having one of the best years ever, if they do not see profits in a week they begin to say that bitcoin is done and all sorts of dumb things.

would be nice to see a reply from the OP to see if he really waited as suggested or that he chickened out earlier at the lower prices..  Huh

I stuck to my long-term plan, still have the 1 BTC (plus I bought some more at $3000 during the dip).
I feel slightly less worried now Tongue

Well it hit $5840 in the last hour  Shocked Shocked  I hope you held on to it.

It will easily break into 6K+.  We have 13 days before the fork.  People are dumping alt coins and buying BTC.  Price will keep going up and quickly. I wouldnt be surprised at all to see 7-8K before oct 25th.

I already spent most of my money buying when it was 3500 up to 4800  so I dont think I will get any more.  It would be hard to put money into it at this price with fear of it crashing which I am sure it will.  Personally I will consider dumping more into cheap alt coins.  You get the much lower price plus the added increase of value from your BTC.
