If you tell people that you bought stuff in the internet or even in a shop with Bitcoin, people will become aware of Bitcoin, more so if the stuff that you are showing them have value when you bought it with fiat money, what do you think about this?
maybe some of them will realize that bitcoin is better used as a means of payment rather than fiat currency especially if making payments in large amounts, but I am not so sure whether they will adopt bitcoin for such reasons and they are afraid that bitcoin will cause some problems because now if we see some governments they really hate bitcoin for use as a means of payment or other transactions, and they always emphasize in their speeches so people don't adopt bitcoin.

Your idea is good but I think it is only beneficial for people who have no idea about Bitcoin. It is actually easy to make some tricks for cryptocurrency awareness, but the hard part is maintaining it. They might get interested one second and forgot about it the next. So constant exposure is a must when you want to spread crypto awareness. Another challenge would be those who already know Bitcoin and are blind, knowing only the bad part about it.

People will not adopt Bitcoin to simply pay for things, we have plenty of options for payments. People WILL take notice and adopt if they believe they'll make money or a lucrative investment. Price increase is the best form of awareness.
Awareness is coming and probably one of the best ways you can increase awareness is to ask the clerk each time you pay for something, "Do you accept Bitcoin?"  The answer will almost always be no today and might be for some time still but it plants the seeds of Bitcoin as a real asset. You'll likely start having conversations with that question as well.

I'm in retail and when customers ask what forms of payment I accept, I will always include Bitcoin as an option although nobody has ever paid BTC, it has started many curious questionings.

They aware but here is the thing.

My mother watched news and when he heard anything about Bitcoin, he immediately tells me. She also talked about it with other people and I am shocked since most of then do not use Bitcoin but call it as illegal or a scam. I don't know but when my mother told me that, she got worried. Not until I explain all of the misunderstanding with her since it is not illegal in our country and it is not a scam. It is the people, they are aware but they do not know what really it is.

Actually I think they won't .
The thing is even money can be used to buy the stuff you are talking about , therefore what will happen is they will think of it as a currency that can be used .
But it's much more than that , I think I will tell people how their investments can grow with time once they invest in this and this will for sure make them learn more about the bitcoins as a whole .
Buying stuff with bitcoins also comes with its own disadvantages , limited choices , limited places where you will be able to do that etc..

Most people are already aware of bitcoin. The problem is their trust and understanding. I don't think a lot of people would change their mind just by you showing what you bought through it. I think major companies and governments should acknowledge it to build people's confidence. It's going to take a little more time before the majority accepts bitcoin's positive nature more than it's minuses.

Majority of Governments are not very much in favour of bitcoins and other crypto that's why companies are not adopting these crypto. Right now people who are outside crypto community know that bitcoin is currency of dark web only.

I didn't get the statement regarding "the stuff that has value on fiat." Of course, if you buy something, it must have some value. What I think would let Bitcoin shine the most is buying things that costs expensive. This is where Bitcoin could showcase itself by having small transaction fees on buying expensive products, removing banks as middlemen, and having a transaction as fast as 6 confirmations (just minutes to an hour).

This has happened since 2 years ago in my neighborhood. Already many people are aware of the presence of bitcoin. However, because there are restrictions on the use of bitcoin, so this is only a commodity for now, it is very difficult to use it for payment tools because of government regulations. I do not know how long the rules will be changed, which is clear cryptocurrency has given a new era for the economic world.

This is a good way of inducing bitcoin adoption to people, but it should be timed in the right place and the right time because not all the time we should tell the people about bitcoin because they might be frustrated about us repeating the same thing over and over again. So, the right time to tell them about something we bought using bitcoin is when they personally asks us about it.

I always show people what I have bought with bitcoin and even send them a link to where I buy from and the onlinemarkets that accept bitcoin. They are impressed and surprised by the online markets accepting bitcoin since there is so much to buy on there. There are still people today who think you cannot spend bitcoin because it is not "real money" (even some in the forum) so showing them with proof is a good idea. Best is action over talk.

Maybe some VPN that i bought with bitcoin payment, but it is only in bitcoin community so maybe not affect much. I think for now, i can't do that thing because some merchants that accept bitcoin don't have something that i look.

Yes it will help to let them be aware of bitcoin but it won't caught their attention. Not everyone will be interested because they can also buy those stuff using fiat. What will make them get interested if the stuff you bought using bitcoin is hard to find on other shop and can only be available using bitcoin. There are other ways to promote bitcoin aside form this. But this will only work if they know the importance of Bitcoin, it's easier to get their attention.

I think what Op is saying here is that, it will look surprising to novice that it is even possible for someone to make a purchase of something with bitcoin. Because some people have not thought of the possibility of that happening.
Anyway, I think that we are making progress on crypto transactions.
You got that right,
And if this thing was done, we at least let them be aware that purchasing item through online using bitcoin is possible and that might get their interest by trying to do the same the next time they have to do transactions.

In my country no online store or marketplace accepts payments with bitcoin. Bitcoin regulation is still unclear and there is still no support from the government.
If I want to buy the items I want, I first convert BTC to Fiat and then use it to trade.
Introducing bitcoin by buying items using bitcoin might be a great way to introduce and make ordinary people aware that bitcoin is valuable. But of course there are those who argue that bitcoin is just a hoax that will hurt it. We also have to provide an explanation or education about bitcoin so that their view of bitcoin is as a useful investment.
Currently bitcoin is also widely known through social media, so it will be easier for ordinary people to know about bitcoin.

It's a great idea but let's not forget that there are few of these marketplaces that have agreed to accepting Bitcoin as payments. I believe once we have these online market platforms in place people would start spending their bitcoins rather than holding it as an asset. Can't guarantee this though, people will make their own choice when the time comes

I bought some headphones online with Bitcoin just to see if it worked and how easy it was.  It worked great for me and now I can tell others that I was able to buy things with Bitcoins.
As long as there is a merchant who will accept Bitcoin as payment it's quite easy to buy through online. But sometimes those merchant/stores stopped accepting Bitcoin due to the high miners/transaction fee. It's hard to run a business when there's something like a tax that is above the average cost.

It's depends on how they see Bitcoin. Seriously it's harder to convince people to use Bitcoin as currency rather than embrace them to have Bitcoin (IMO). Mostly expect high price rather than the utility itself, so they think Bitcoin is a commodity not currency (although bitcoin can also be considered a commodity). The other problem also come from the regulations, the government say no to Bitcoin as payment.

...
There are already some companies that have decided to receive Bitcoin as a payment method, they know they can earn much more in the future, because their value can continue to grow. Although it is a matter of risks, because its value can also go down and lose.

Those companies who decided to accept Bitcoin as payment is must be a big company who established their funds. Accept Bitcoin as payment is more risky than trading directly thru the market.

Today, you won't have any impact because almost everyone knows Bitcoin already. Their interest may have been already answered, and if they want to use it, they would be utilizing it or maybe supporting it.

I would disagree with your statement because to hear about BTC and to know something specific about it is a big difference. If there is any truth in research that shows that less than 1% of the world's population owns/trades with crypto, we are still far from saying that most are familiar what is actually BTC.

I personally bought a lot of things with BTC (TVs, smartphones, various gadgets), but I don't think it helped others to become aware of BTC. The only thing that might interest them in this particular case is the fact that they can buy BTC at a lower price, and then profit by buying something when the BTC price goes up. I can say to someone that I buy my new OLED tv, a state-of-the-art smartphone or something like that for $50 worth of BTC which I bought back in 2015, but 2 years later value of that money is increased x100. What I cannot tell them is whether the past will be repeated, everyone should take the risk on their own.
