I thank everyone for participating in this competition. It was a first time that I organized something like this. The 2nd and 3rd place winners can post their Bitcoin addresses to me right now either in this thread or privately.
With the winner we still have some work to do. We probably need more than one version for our use because we simply don't know which one will work for our templates and for printing purposes. We can continue our work in private and you'll get the 15 BTC once we're done.
I will post the final logos to this thread later, so everyone can see the actual logos our site will use.

I presume that we can ask small tweaks from the winning artist so that we can make the logo work with the template that we choose for our site.

@liamwli: try Inkscape. It's really easy to learn all the controls and it's vector as the OP requested. And don't be afraid that it won't work out. Look at the fantastic work I've started with. LOL
