What would you do if you've been promoting a project for over a month and the bounty manager refused to update spreadsheet? After getting in touch with admin on telegram channel they keep saying no update from team yet, what will be the best decision if you are in my shoe?
It seems you there in a difficult position and your patience is being tested. I think it's better to wait again and if there is still no update from the bounty manager or update from the team then I think  it's better to leave that's project because it could end in fraud. I say that because I've also ever is experienced the same fate as you.

Manager is the middle person here who connects participants to the team and project. Almost all managers are getting paid for their efforts and they are bound to help the participants.
Manager always should mention how he will do his part. Whether weekly update or monthly or after the completion of campaign.

but if the manager refuses to update the spreadsheet then at least it will be a more serious consideration because after all the manager must at least give a more detailed explanation of the project conditions that happen, because when everything has become something strange then at least we cannot expect more and more most likely they are scammers

Now we shouldn't be doing research only on projects but also on bounty managers as well, some bounty managers have bad past histories with every bounties they introduce, only few have good rating, arteezy and bubbalex will always be top on my list

You have done research on the project, the bounty, and the manager, does this mean that you will change your mind just because of this when this is an old practice and it's not a big issue at all, so many campaigns have done this in the past, I have joined one campaign and the campaign lasted for three months without update only on the final tally and everything are counted correctly and distributed properly, because the bounty manager is trusted.

only if its trusted but what if this also happens on the campaign or on the manager that is not really that trusted  ? for sure that you will be worried and in your mind you already suspect that it was scam  .  some of these are actually scam as i experience this scenario before but im still new on bounty hunting that time because i dont know if who is the trusted manager or not   . its not only the manager that you must take care of but also the owner or the project itself because the final decision are still from them  .

its normally thing. few bounty manager not update every week but prefer to update when bounty campaign end so better choice is stay keep posting and follow your bounty campaign. and make sure you do all requirements like minimum posting, and use signature till bounty end to get your reward from bounty
What if the bounty manager is known for abandoning spreadsheet in past bounties he managed and the bounty manager bitcointalk account has red trust as well can they be trusted?

If the manager who is known for leaving the spreadsheet then the manager knows that the bounty managed is a scam, the manager will not continue the spreadsheet because it will be a waste of their time.
With the red trust in the bounty menager you can judge for yourself because what I know is that there are red trust managers even they are trustworthy in managing their campaigns well sometimes like that still exists.
rarely bounty manager leave the project, maybe there is a bounty but it really scams. so you alright that do continue it just waste the time
i am not problem with bounty manager has red trust in their account during their do the task as a manager and will give reward for bounty hunter, few bounty manager get red trust in their account but till now they still trust

You need to get some timeline, usually the timeline is part of the rules when you joined the campaign, it should be their and you make it as an evidence if they will refuse to do their job, so you can make a scam accusation.

I noticed in some bounties I joined in the past, it says like this "bounty reward will be distributed 1 month after the project is listed" or some are even too specific, "reward will be distributed one month after the campaign is concluded".

Bounties that are built with a professional sense will always be updated about spreadsheets and what they have achieved and done for the project.
However, that does not mean spreadsheets do not update the project is bad, because the bounty is not over, so if I become you will continue to follow the bounty until it ends because a month is not a short time.
Just believe first before the bounty really ends.

the manager has full responsibility from the beginning to the end of the campaign, we need to differentiate between rejecting and waiting according to the manager's discretion, they also work to get results in the same project as the participant, if you are not satisfied with it, then there is no need to follow the manager who the same in another campaign.

if the prize project is undertaken by a trusted professional manager, I will not comment anything about the spreadsheet update and keep thinking positively, maybe the project manager is busy or indeed he does not update every week. but if the prize project is managed by a manager who does not have a good reputation, chances are the work we do does not produce anything so that no number of pegs is given to the spreadsheet

I will leave that bounty. Because without update I can't continue my work.Because this kind of project turned to scam or failed (Majority percent). Also few managers are lazy and not responsible that’s why it happen.
We have different take on this, I'm ok with only updating on a weekly basis, they don't have to, as long in the final tally and stakes distribution they are all correct and within the time frame of the promised distribution, I have encountered a bounty campaign that counted the stake in the last week of the campaign, but they all counted it right and distributed ahead of time.
Many will surely miss their stake in signature campaign because post can be removed at any time, I will just advice such bounty hunters in that position to make sure they post good posts to avoid missing stakes

Check the bounty information if they said that they are going to update this on a weekly basis, is there are none then you will have to wait for them to update it, and as long as your report is correct in their spreadsheet, and the project is legit you are still ok, they think it's better for them to do a report once or twice a month to save them time, they are giving participants some weeks to file a complaint if there is any.

The best decision to keep in touch with the bounty manager in case of long-running bounty campaigns. If there was no warning by the bounty manager about the length of the campaign, the extended bounty campaigns becomes really irritating. Better to ask from the bounty manager for laving the campaign after calculated stakes.

if the participant leaves the campaign abruptly and unconsciously follows a good campaign with the same manager a few months later, there will be no difference.

Important points remain in the promised distribution, stake is not very influential, especially if the manager handling the bounty has a good reputation, their weaknesses are not because they are lazy, but focus not only on one campaign and also not hiring teams to help make management more efficient.

It's normal I have been into a lot of bounty campaign where they only update the stakes once or twice in a month, some bounty managers are managing a lot of campaign and they want to do it once or twice, just make sure the bounty manager and the projects are all trusted, so you will not encounter problem later.

check the project itself, is the project good? already got much investement? how about the community?
if all of those is good, then continue your work. if not, you should think to leave

basically, it is normal when BM wont update their spreadsheet
but dont worry, BM would update in the end of bounty
that's what I experience by following many bounties.

for me it depends on the manager who holds the project, if indeed they have good trust then I will believe even though the manager has not updated the spreadsheet because there are some managers who do updates at the end of the campaign.
Yes I second that some managers only updated member's stakes at the end of the campaign, they will just do so if the rules say that they are going to update the spreadsheets weekly, they are doing this, so they can address all complaints one time when they update the spreadsheet and not every week, check the trust of the manager even if they update it every week.

Update on the spreadsheet? If managers who are the ones that do control the counting then it his job not on the team but if the team has the control over those docs then
both you and the manager wont able to do anything yet it would depend on them on when they would like for it to be updated.Even if you do force out things
you wont still have any choice or theres nothing you can do but patiently wait and this is the part of risk as a bounty hunter.
