I've been doing bounty campaigns only since December 2017.  Not long, in the scheme of things.  But one thing that truly surprised me during the last couple of months is the number of bounty hunters who look to sell their tokens ASAP.  At first, I didn't understand why, but I think I'm beginning to.

For me, I'm doing these bounty campaigns for a bit of fun and to give my mind a bit work to do, creatively speaking.  So my mindset for any bounty tokens is just to HODL and allow the devs to implement their roadmap and take the project through to completion.  I think this will give the best realisation of value on the tokens.  Sure, some may fail and they will likely end up worthless, but since I only invested time, not money, into receiving them, I'm not really worried.

So with that mindset, I struggled to understand why so many people were eager to offload their bounties at the earliest opportunity.

But over the weekend, I sat down and did some calculations on the accumulated bounty rewards I'm expecting to receive.  Each bounty by itself was a modest return, but when combined in totality, it was a sizeable amount.  And that's when it struck me...

Lots of people who live in less fortunate parts of the world, particularly in areas with high unemployment, probably NEED to sell their bounty rewards to put food on the table and pay their bills.

But I really don't know if my assumptions are correct.  So, my question to you is...

Do you sell your Bounty Rewards straight away or HODL?  Any insight into your reasons would be appreciated.

A good project will bloom in the long run. If you believe that it is, then hold your bounty. There are so many promising project that having a hard time in value when it first landed in an exchange. But after a couple of months and years, the value fly and go to the moon. Dont regret if that happen if you sold early.

I guess it all depends on the token you are getting and how much you believe in the project. I've noticed that I've lost some money because I sold the tokens I got from bounties right away. One of them actually doubled, a few months after I've sold it. I decided to start holding the tokens after the bounties, and then I saw that I was also losing money, because the price went down (since everyone was selling), and it never recovered.

So there is no golden rule, as you can lose money either you sell it right away, or you hold it. I now try to make some research, and see if I like the project. If I do, then I hold the token, like I would do with any other investment.

Its depend on my needs sometimes when I need money I sell half of the coin and hold half of them but when I have enough money to survive I hold the coin which I feel are good and give me good profits in the future. And the coins which I feel are not good or not worth to hold for the long term I sold them and enjoy the profits...

It depends of what personality you have, are you are man with patience ?because holding would be the best thing to do with these bounties, because eventually these tokens would have some value in the future. But if you really dont have big paitience and you need some cash badly selling it would be good.

Depend on the ICO, but usually in the end of ICO, the price will go down significantly and then get back up later (Do not know how long). If I were you i would sell it in when the ICO is end than keep tracking and buy back when I think it at it's lowest. just don't be greedy.

It all depends on the coin. If the coin is openly scum, then it is better to immediately sell it until the price has fallen. If the coin is good, then definitely this coin should be retained. In the future, you can sell such a coin much more expensive.

I think that you can sell 50% or 30% and HODL the rest. But if you think that the project is promising, then you can HODL 100% of the profit.

I agree with selling half to the amount and keeping another one for long term. So you will cash out and hodl at the same time and won't regret neither of them. Yeah, these bounties can be really helpful for people, where even 100-200 dollars is considered as an unbelievable amount of money. (It's nice, but you know, it might be a redemption for someone). It's something what will be there and you can't do nothing about it basically, so chill and good projects should go up.  Smiley

HODL! Do not sell immediately! Just HODL! If you are not that much in need of money, just hodl! Market is just so unpredictable. The values of token can go up and down. Don't panic sell! Hodl your tokens nd believe that the value will be higher. Isn't that much better? You won't lose anything if you wait a little longer. It will be surely profitable if you hodl it for awhile. It's just a matter of right timing.

I am holding most of my bounty rewards because i believe they can deliver what they promised and the token will go up in value later so it's definitely profitable if you hold it. I only sell my bounty if i need money or if i think there's a better project so i will sell and buy the other project's token.

From my own experience, I would advice first to study the project and not be too quick to sell. After doing proper study and research on the project, take profits at intervals and put in other solid projects or convert to Fiat. Most times I sold my bounty tokens, the next thing was they moon without me and that was a very painful experience. Just take profits whenever you can and always holdl a certain proportion.

It depend on the market if the price quite high i will sell immediately and if the price is still below ICO i will keep HODL the coin. I have experienced many regrets when getting bounty with selling it immediately. I believe nothing wrong if it keeps hold until it's a good price even if it has to wait for several months.

For me you don't have to sell your coins immediately most especially when you dont have important or urgent hings to buy. Just hold your coins, just be patient and the right time will come and you will not regret anything, and by that you will be more satisfied with your coins and you can do alot with your coins. In this industry all we need to have patience and trust the process, the process that everything will be in its proper place in the soon time.

" I think bounty hunters sold their prize as soon as they got it " is a wrong kind of idea. Maximum of them analyse the future of that token and try to hold the coin if it has a good potential.  If they need some money immediately at that time they sell that, which is natural.
I usually HODL the rewards. I think that I can earn much profit if I hold rather than selling the tokens immediately.

Yes, if you have the money, you can keep these altcoins, and maybe they will have a good return next year.
If you don't have the money, sell them directly, which is also a living expense.

I think that there is no any sense to sell rewards immidiately if you have enough money to live. I never sell the whole amount of bounty tokens at the beginning - only a part (5-25%) and only with the price more than x3.

Of course the hold it the best . But as we all know that big number of projects fail with time and its price becoming  zero. So a lot of bounty hunter prefer to get less money now. Its better then nothing in future. In my opinion the best way is to sell half of tokens and hold the rest.

I will hold the token many people appreciate and have potential. If I really need money I also sell a very small part.
