Bounty rewards for altcoins are generally paid for promotional reasons. You can dump all at the beginning or you can hold but I do think its better to hold many coins if you believe you re doing it with right ones.

Depends on their projects.. few bounties are not so worth full to keep in our wallet. Few bounties can perform better which gives multiply. In such a way better sell worthless bounties and keep good bounties for long term.

Whether to hold or sell bounty coins would depend on the project. If you participate in a bounty campaign for a good project, I would recommend holding as if you invested your own money. Gain are gains; regardless if they can from bounty coins or not.

Most people I know doing bounties mostly sell their tokens because they are afraid the coin might lose its value and would go to waste, while some including myself would prefer holding them not because we expecting it to reach a higher value in the future but we consider it as a form of savings. I don't think out of all these tokens you receive in bounties would be worth nothing, so we prefer to just hold them instead.

Its not advicable to sell some bounties rewards immediately and on the other hand some bounties rewards are worthless as long as you keep them the price keep dropping. 6 to 12months is okay to hold a coin and during that time you will know whether is a good project or not.

I've been doing bounty campaigns only since December 2017.  Not long, in the scheme of things.  But one thing that truly surprised me during the last couple of months is the number of bounty hunters who look to sell their tokens ASAP.  At first, I didn't understand why, but I think I'm beginning to.

For me, I'm doing these bounty campaigns for a bit of fun and to give my mind a bit work to do, creatively speaking.  So my mindset for any bounty tokens is just to HODL and allow the devs to implement their roadmap and take the project through to completion.  I think this will give the best realisation of value on the tokens.  Sure, some may fail and they will likely end up worthless, but since I only invested time, not money, into receiving them, I'm not really worried.

So with that mindset, I struggled to understand why so many people were eager to offload their bounties at the earliest opportunity.

But over the weekend, I sat down and did some calculations on the accumulated bounty rewards I'm expecting to receive.  Each bounty by itself was a modest return, but when combined in totality, it was a sizeable amount.  And that's when it struck me...

Lots of people who live in less fortunate parts of the world, particularly in areas with high unemployment, probably NEED to sell their bounty rewards to put food on the table and pay their bills.

But I really don't know if my assumptions are correct.  So, my question to you is...

Do you sell your Bounty Rewards straight away or HODL?  Any insight into your reasons would be appreciated.

hi friends, very interesting this discussion.
i am a bounty hunters and i live in less. I realize that so many daily needs, all of which really force us to have money immediately.
therefore most of the bounty hunters community in my area, will immediately sell tokens when they get it from a bounty project.
but I myself have a slightly different decision with them.
when i get the token, i will sell it gradually. that way, I can have money for my daily needs immediately and can also hold for the future until the Devs really develop their project.

Sometimes its very good to HODL your bounty reward for some period. For instance I participated in coinlancer bounty and I got 40k tokens immediately after I was given the token I dumped it on ED for $1800. When the coin hit normal exchange what I sold for $1800 now worth $23000.

It is not a good idea to dump coins immediately, better hold it for a long time. If you hold it for a year or two then you can get reasonable profit.

Sell the token or hold it are all the reasonable choice for a guy. For me, I joined a lot of airdrop or bounty in 2014,  such as mooncoin, faircoin, enerycoin and a lot of other coins.

Some of them I hold not long time, some not.  When I check them in last years. I found nearly 90% of them are not "exist". No treading and no one care about that.

Only a little coins are still alive and give me great return. So I can't say sell or HODL which is a good choice, it is depend on probability.
You are right, many coins will fade away when the years passes,so it is better to sell our bounty rewards immediately, normally the price of many coins will fall from the ICO price when it get listed on exchanges.
So we can sell our bounties immediately if we are in immediate need or we can sell our bounty rewards for the potential altcoin like ethereum or other,so we can hold it for long terms.
I like this idea,so we can make our bounty rewards worth in long terms too,but we have to select a good bounty tokens if we want to hold the tokens for long term.So we need to do more research about that project if we are holding the token,or sell it immediately and buy bitcoin or ethereum.

It's true that many tokens go through one year, two years later, and then this token is likely to go to zero.
So the best thing to do is to sell them as soon as possible and convert them into BTC and ETH.

Selling right after the end of ICO is not profitable at all, because it is time when almost all bounty hunters rush to sell, thus making the price go down. I suppose it is better to give a token some time for the price to get back and then watch it out.

You get it for free and then it that worth some bucks and you can try to sell it. Remember there is so many bounty tasks and you can try to earn them all again. This to secure your amount. But the result will depend on yourself about that my friend. But the majority of bounty hunters are selling all of their coin asap.

I always hold my earned tokens after bounty campaigns. For me it's a best strategy, that give much more profit, than if I sell them over immediately.

It depends on your own, generally speaking, I see I will participate in the bounty thread, so after the token issue, I would not be the first choice to sell, I will choose to hold, because I liked the tokens, and participate in the bounty thread get tokens, low cost, holding long-term is worth it.

It depends on our choice on how we run our tokens. It simply goes into two ways that when you hold your coins but it goes to wasted or be dumped in the future you are the one will suffer. And if you sell your coins now at low price, then the price of that particular coins will rise into 5 times  in the near future you are the one who will regret. All your decisions may you have to take a risk. But the best thing you have to do is to sell a half of it for the bills and other needs. And the other is to hold because it really gives you a good profit when the time comes the value of it will rise. Or if not, you have already availed the half of it, not throughly lost your money. However it is not you personal money, you can join another bounty campaign and you can earn tokens again.

IF there are 1000 bounties and 10 of them are valued so this means you have 1% chance to have a valued token in your hand.
Also In the other part in the first week of exchange time of the token, its value is increased to 300%  its described token sale price may be.. This is true nearly for more than 95% of tokens.
So selling immediately is not even related with age or experience it is just about facts and need of money

Better hold, cause almost all bounty hunter who get free token will sell their imediatly and will make the price fall. If that coin or token really worth better hold id until the price go to moon.
