They talking more bullshit. I was one of the first to accuse them on telegram. They blocked me on telegram and somehow they even reported my account and got it restricted even though I never ever pm first.
Dirty tactics. Also the thing with BMF token was their first screw up now this. Unforgivable. You claim you have put a year in and a lot of money?? Well, you just destroyed your name so great job.

We know who you guys are btw. We know some of your team were at the Malta blockchain summit. Some of us met the people in your team there. You certainly are not being very clever and you suck as scamming.

Ask someone who knows nothing about crypto if they would give a stranger their house and car keys??? Hmm??? You think they will say ok??

I believe Optherium is one of the ICO they are promoting sir, but why are you still wearing it, if they will ask you your private key to withdraw your tokens from Optherium have they fixed it or there is another option to withdraw your coins coming from Optherium

The reason I was still wearing the signature for Optherium because they are not the scam only bountyhunters.io is and I wanted to contact them for a private bounty payment yet when I contacted them on telegram they listened to me but they never removed themselves from bountyhunters.io but I have now removed the singature.

I was also wearing Optherium signature but after learning about this issue I immediately change my signature to something better, and it's a good decision, so now how can they pay their bounty hunters if they are asking their private key in exchange for their rewards.

This is really not good they should have disabled that page or just show in that page that it is in maintenance, there could be some people who are not aware of this issue or this post and entered their private key, this is being dishonest on their part if they allow that page to keeps showing up.

I've started to join their campaign and I joined all their campaign because the bounty is easy. But, I hope they will resolve this issue. Have you talked to the team?

Yes, I have this is my answer:

y happy to see a comment from Bountyhunters team because I like your service and used it on daily basis.
I don't see any other option to withdraw this tokens only with private keys share.

Due to technical reasons the complete update will be released today.
Note, that it is not necessary to transfer your tokens to the wallet. When we implement the buyback widget (1st quarter of 2019), you will have an option to sell tokens right from your profile. You can transfer your tokens only in a case you want to sell it on the exchange (the listing starts in December).

If you are ok with our answers, could you please translate them in the other thread you created? (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/zautomatyzowane-serwisy-dla-kampanii-bounty-bountyhuntersio-5067110)

No problem I will translate everything into Polish language but I still see this same window when try to withdraw tokens. So nothing changed as for now and that is why I will wait until tomorrow for Your update.

Why haven't you deleted this withdrawal form asking for private keys from your site after so many days and problems?

I just checked Your page and this is what I see so nothing changed. Attempt to hijack private keys is ongoing.

Wrong, just wrong. They are called private keys for a reason  Grin - They might as well ask their users for the keys to their houses and permission to rob them whenever it pleases them. It could be they are looking for other ways to earn money seeing that running bounties isn't what it used to be. All speculation on my part off-course, but this is very shady.

Maybe not intended scam, but definitely it is a bad practice!
Better keep away from such things!

Make no mistake it is a scam. Saying its bad practice is sugar - coating it.

The only reason to require users to give out their private keys will be to save fees,

This is not true. You are mistaken, having ones private keys does not reduce gas/fees.

Got this from bountyhunters channel
" About private keys. We are now implementing the option to create new wallet right on our platform. After you receive tokens to the integrated  wallet, you can transfer them to any wallet you wish (NO private keys will be needed). The function will become available this week. Thanks for your feedback!"

I think we have morons running bountyhunters they think it is safe asking for private keys no amount of explanation is needed they think we are stupid.

Looks like an attempt at deflecting some of the flak coming their way.

Nonsense.

This is unacceptable and we refuse to be associated with this unethical practice.

We have postponed our bounty campaign and are currently searching for a new bounty platform that will treat our bounty hunters with respect and transparency.

Thank you for your understanding.

Good move, kudos for keeping your integrity! I reccomend everyone to do the same and boycott the platform for this disgraceful behavior.

Bountyhunters.io can come with all the excuses they want, but that does not make the platform any less sketchy.

You suddenly ask for your private keys with no explanation in advance explaining why. NOW, you tell us that we will not have to submit our private key, but what about all the users who though that was the only option, or inexperienced crypto users who did not know what risk they are taking by submitting this info?

It seems like you are trying to make it as difficult as possible to collect the tokens so you can keep more for yourself. There is NO valid reasons to implement this system for claiming bounties, other than the fact that you might save 100-200 dollars in transaction fees.

It is well known that you don't care about your customers, there are no options for bounty hunters to contact the team. The only option is the telegram channel where there is no moderation.

Really hope people nowadays know that you really never give someone your private key!
Lol. I've seen people enter their private key when Google Forms asks for their address. You're largely underestimating human stupidity!

There are 3 ways of signing the transaction:
1.By importing his private key;
By importing mnemonic seed
By importing his wallet file + passphrase
So you're saying you've created the worst possible system to send a payment. The very basics of cryptocurrencies is that you only need to give an address to receive a payment. Asking for private keys is shady at best, but more likely a long con leading to an exit scam once you've collected enough user funds.

Quote
it's not necessary to provide private keys for claiming your tokens.
Then why are you asking for it? Even if you're honest (which I have no reason to believe), you're introducing another risk factor by storing private keys on your server.

These are all good points, why don't they just send payment to our address it easy and it's always been this way from all bounty campaigns no amount of explanation these people can do to defend asking people's private keys.

Catalog Websites
You can also create the new empty wallet for claiming your tokens.
I'm sorry is this clearly explained in your website? Because I only see a page asking for the PK, that's all. And the PK you're gonna get at 99% already has other tokens in it since people take to several bounties. You guys didn't think a lot about this, assuming you're not actually try to scam us all, how could you even think to ask for PK without any further explanation?

I'm glad that you finally come here to ease everything, or it will escalate to something really worse, but the only way you can put back the trust is when we can see people posting their withdrawal from bountyhunters, what happen really put a bad light on your site the whole community will condemn any group sites or individuals asking for private key, even MEW stated they will not store or access your private key.

What is your Telegram?
For the last 2 days we banned only a couple of users, who overused obsessive expressions in their messages or directly advertised other projects. Most of critics, who respected the rest of community, are still with us. We care about the feedback and never ban anyone without a serious reason. If you are sure you were banned with no reason like we mentioned above, contact @nvlasoffa: you will be unbanned.

If you really think that we go to conferences and invest tons of time and dollars for the development just for to steal some funds from wallets of our users... Well. We don't hold you, sincerely.

Hi everyone.

The first and the main answer: no, we are NOT going to fish any data. We have invested 1 year and tons of dollars into the project, and it wouldn't be a logical way for us to scam our users.

The second answer: it's not necessary to provide private keys for claiming your tokens.

We have now implemented so-called Merkle airdrop: the system of distributions made  by request.
How does it work? Here are the main principles:
- We generate the list of payments, which contains basic data of users and their rewards: payment ID, wallet address, amount of tokens to be paid. Then we use the list as the base for whitelist: list of wallets which are allowed to request a certain amount of tokens.
- We form the control amount of tokens (Merkle Root) to be transferred into smart-contract. Now users can receive their tokens if they prove that they are whitelisted.
- User receives the whitelist as a proof he can claim certain amount of tokens.
- User forms the transaction proving his ability to receive tokens, signs it and sends it to the network.
- The contract processes the transaction, checking the proof. If the proof is correct, and mentioned wallet is corresponding with amount of tokens, the payment is to be transferred to the mentioned wallet.

There are 3 ways of signing the transaction:
1.By importing his private key;
By importing mnemonic seed
By importing his wallet file + passphrase
You can also create the new empty wallet for claiming your tokens. We automatically renew the whitelists once in 24 hours. After the update you will have a possibility to send your tokens onto the new wallet.
2. User creates new wallet on the base of our platform. New wallet is to be imported into the system automatically.
3. User doesn’t keep any data on our platform and signs each transaction by entering his data at our platform.

Here you can learn more about the Merkle Tree airdrop and its advantages (comparing with traditional airdrops):
