Yes, you are correct. Only bets on slot games will be counted.
It’s good that they clarified this point here because there is no mention of this term in the page they linked in their last post, which I find a bit weird. They definitely need to update that page to remove any confusion.
The good thing is that they added this term in their airdrop page where you can read the terms under the leaderboard.

I don't think wagering on sports betting is among the places that's allowed because if you carefully read the above statement it was very brief and clear that only those who would be wagering on the slots will be entitled to share the 5million BXBT, however I believe if wagering on the sports was inclusive Op would have also indicated on the post, so if you want to participate you will have to wager on slots, meanwhile Op has already made a link available for easy clarification, so you can read the terms of participating for the contest, however is a huge amount to share especially if the participants are few.

Since their representative gives a warning about not to use a VPN to bypass those restriction then its better for people who could read those statement to follow what they have said since for sure that they might encounter certain issues if they continue and ignore those statement provided by people working on Boxbet.

They can lift out those restriction if they work on licensing. So for now those people didn't experience to encounter some issue should follow always on what the representative says since it will save their selves to avoid getting an issue.
