Prime for prime I would say that Khan has a slim advantage as far as power goes. However, Brook has some as well and is willing to trade. But since this is a retirement fight for both, I don't see Khan power no more. He can get to Brook but Brook has more chin than him. It's the question on what will happen to Khan if Brook will hit him flush in the face, chances are, he might go down.

After that exposed Khan needs to work more with his good defense, Brook's will try to penetrate and knock him down by hitting his chin. It's a must find a way to avoid and to make sure to throw good counter to avoid that knock out punches to hit him. I would like to see aggressiveness from Brook, though. If he will start strong and try to corner Khan, still anyone's fight here we don't know if what would happen till we seen them both inside the ring.. Tongue Roll Eyes
Unfortunately for Khan he will need a Mayweather level of defense if he wanted to still be a top fighter with that weak chin, and so late in his career it is unlikely that he is going to change the way he fights in order to cover for that deficiency, so I think that Brooks is the favorite and that he has a good change of winning this fight by a KO, as I think it is going to be very difficult for Khan to avoid being hit at the chin during the whole fight.

Nobody is bringing up the dynamics of covid affecting the fight, I think brooks does better with a large loud crowd on his side

There might not even be a fight if one of them tests positive.

Or one could be recovering and that could affect them negatively

No one has yet reported that they are positive. And I think both of them love big crowds and for sure this fight will be stage with fans watching live in the O2 and then PPV.

And if one if positive for the virus then obviously, this fight will be postponed.

Kahn wins by decision

Goodluck if you are going to bet on Khan to win by decision in this fight. Majority though thinks otherwise.

Given the recent state of the pandemic situation, it's possible to happen since the new variant of covid-19 which is omicron is faster when it comes to spreading and it has new characteristics compared to past variants. In addition, the vaccines made were not really intended for it therefore it is still uncertain if it's 100% effective against it as well. Although I really do hope that none of them would be tested positive because their fight is really near and it's now a week and 3 days more to their supposed fight. This fight can really push through if there would be no mishaps that would happen. But I really believe it would push through and we'll see an exciting fight among the two.

Khan won't be popular for nothing in the history of the  boxing world. Prime for prime, I also think he has the advantage.

But moving forward today, since already past his prime. We can't expect the thing he always do before.

Don't have an idea here who has the edge but expecting a good close fight.

Back in his prime, he was regarded as Manny Pacman of EU while he is also a sparring partner of the real Pacman of Asia. We'd highly doubt that today but during that time he is really good much as being hyped by promoters. But growing old is the worse challenge for an athlete that even the real Pacman had not escaped.

They both are not in their prime already and have long inactivity, particularly Khan. One wouldn't expect him to fight again and so it Brook. Does sound like an exhibition fight actaully.

Yes, I remember those days when both him and the Pacman are training side by side in the Wild Card gym. Those were his prime years, hands very fast with both power. There were even some news saying that they started to train his next so that so somewhat strengthen his weak chin. But we all know that you can't train to have a good chin, it's either you have it or not. Unfortunately, for Khan it is his biggest weakness as a boxer.

Such an interesting fight, Brook is the favorite but Khan I think is way more powerful and have a higher chance for a KO win, almost 2 weeks left and they’ll face each other have some bet now and win some money. They both have good records, and a strength I guess this will be a hard match for these two.

His glass chin can be easily cover if he always put his gloves up to cover it. Since it's known weakness, He can use it to bait brook to go for it and land a solid counter since he has the power to do it. It's easy to say for us that brook can easily penetrate his defense and aim for his weakness but Khan power might make brook hesitate to go deeper inside just to reach because he be knock out too once Khan landed a series of pretty blow combination while he is busy reaching Khan chin. This fight will gonna a blow by blow fight since both fighter is very aggressive.

Very possible that his training camp work on this strategy, luring Brook to keep on targeting his known soft chin once he got Brooks attentions he can counter a heavy solid punch to take Brook down, it's really exciting to see if how both fighters will bring their trained strategy to see if that will work and if that will give them the win.

Let's wait and witness if how both former champions will try to win this fight and bring noise to their boxing careers

before they decided to walk down and permanently retire.

Surely that was being organized and planned. Not just that but every possible strategy that both fighters can use.

Aside from thinking about each other's disadvantages, they are surely both working on their respective "unexpected" strategy so both fighters might be surprised that something not in the tape can't be seen.

On the day of the fight, that's the only time we can see if their formed strategy is effective or not.

I guess the most important now is on how they prepare for this fight, this will be happening in less than 2 weeks, so I expect them to be fully ready to give the fans a good and an entertaining fight.

They really should while the weigh-in is approaching. It's hard if one of them will struggle to reach the required weight.

Just to give others an idea, a boxer just only asked to work around for 4-5 hours to burn or increase the weight if ever they failed to meet it on the weigh-in day. Imagine doing that work to target a weight limit within 4-5 hours then the other day, it's the official date of the fight. It will take a heavy adjustment on their strength that's why they need to follow strictly their health rules a few days until the weigh-in.

It's very clear that brook will be after this because this is indeed one of Khan's weaknesses which has become an open secret and indeed he now has to be extra in training it at least train his defense so he can't be attacked at this vital point.
But maybe here the khan will do as usual, which is relying on speed with hit and run and continue to keep his distance from brook.

If he will do that all night, then most likely his strategy is just to survive. How can he score if he will just always cover? He isn't quick enough IMO, and how can he hurt Kell Brook, he needs to gamble becasue in the first place, his goal is to win, he just hope he will not be hit in his weakness.

Khan can still win a fight, and Kell Brook is not anymore on his prime, so it's not a tough opponent for him although he is the underdog. As we can see on his record - https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/314558.. .after a lose against Crawford, he bounce back and win against Billy Dib via TKO, so we can't only focus on his weakness.

you can see the highlight of his last fight.

That's right, so he will not really cover his chin just to survive, though I think he fought an unknown fighter on his last win he has a knockout power which is very important as he is fighting a better opponent although he also falls against Crawford. Yeah, but he can't cover it all night because he needs to throw some punch and that's what his opponent usually does, timing his move and then they deliver a blow to his chin. And most of the time Khan really try to go and fight toe to toe and that's why he is caught most often, just like in his fight lost and his devastating knock out against Canelo Alvarez. Also against Marcos Maidana (watch that fight in youtube), but he survived that fight and won in the score card.

Oh yes, if they provide entertaining fight, expect to have another money fight to whoever wins this fight. Though it's still depends on the outcome of this fight and we will wait to see if both former champs still have their fighting abilities to shine, for now, all will be judged when these two meet inside the ring and start throwing punches.

I do hope to see a toe to toe exchanges of punches to add up with the entertaining part of this sport, for sure fans will love to see that. Roll Eyes Wink
Even if we like to see a toe to toe fighting I don't think Khan is willing to engage Brook has a powerful right straight, Khan's advantage is his speed, the only way can win against Brook is to do hit and run just like he did against powerful puncher but this time he needs good stamina so he can run in the whole fight once he goes toe to toe Brook will work on his uppercuts, Brooks has done a lot of damage with his uppercuts on his past fights.
Looking at this fight I feel that this is a two star fight because indeed both boxers at this time may be at the end of their boxing career and indeed their heyday can be said to be over now.
But on the other hand it will be interesting because indeed I feel Brook is more motivated now and he has boldly said he has no intention of losing this fight and if he loses then he will retire from boxing.
I feel that these two boxers have known each other from their weaknesses and strengths and I quite agree with what you said that indeed brook's punches will be much stronger and indeed it will be difficult because his weakness is in the chin area and this will definitely be targeted by brook.
I personally still can't predict who will win here because indeed Khan's speed is enough to be used as a weapon by him because his speed is quite good.

Kell Brook has a higher KO ratio, it's on record, check OP.

Brook has 69% Ko ratio, while Khan has only 61% KO ratio.
Both are good boxers anyway, so we cannot guarantee that the one with a higher KO ratio will automatically win, it's how they'll use their strategy to win.
While a high KO ratio can be indicative of a huge punching power, as it is the case of Wilder for example, at the same time things could be explained away if one of the fighters faced easier rivals early on their career and they accumulated a lot of knockouts against weak opponents, all in all I think that Khan has a chance but it is not going to be easy at all to beat Brook, since he will have to land punches while at the same time he will need to take care of avoiding any dangerous punch to the face.
