Traux is good but i think Plant can win this one, obviously he has way more knockouts and punching power, while Traux can only rely on points and take it to a decision. I have doubts that Caleb Plant would give Canelo a hard time though, if he decided to pursue him after this fight. It's not like he have fought the elites such as Mayweather and GGG. Either way interesting to see a heavy hitter and undefeated take on a Canelo alvarez, because the Callum match ended in disappointment.

Looking at the odds it's clear that bookmakers have obviously decided that Caleb Plante will successfully defend his title in this fight. I wouldn't be so categorical, because Caleb Troyes has one and a half times more fights under his belt. He may not have always come out victorious, but I think his chances of winning are a little bit higher than the bookies think.

Considering the record of Plant, he’s on a better position for this fight and I’m impress with his knockout record but since Traux is a former champion as well, this will be an interesting fight. If Plant win on this match, then I think they should push the fight between Canelo so we can witness a more intense fight. Anyway, I’ll bet on Plan for this match.

It will be not an easy fight for Caleb Plant he needs to watch out carefully because he is not fighting an ordinary guy here. If he doesn't take this fight seriously he might end up getting powered by his opponent. Truax on the other hand should do everything to give his opponent the best fight he could ever have in his boxing career so he will have some strong will to beat Plant when they face in the ring. I also wanted to see Plant fight with Canelo Alvarez but since they didn't get the chance, I'll support him with this one.
One thing that will go against Truax is the age, and given the Plant is on the prime of his career, he might have a big chance to win against Truax. And Plant has has serious power also, I would not say he is techinical but he has the good to deliver a possible knock out everything he fight.
Definitely a Plant win hear will have him in Canelo's radar and could fight maybe in September of this year.
Canelo Alvarez is staying at this weight division and planning to unify all of the belts so a match between him and Caleb Plant is inevitable. All Plant should do here is to perform well against Truax to warrant a money fight with Canelo and should not take this one for granted.

I don't think that even Golovkin can match the version of Canelo that we are witnessing, he is at the prime, and settling at 168 lbs, while Golovkin best weight is 160 lbs. Of course he can go and chase Canelo at super middleweight, but I don't see him beating Alvarez.
Canelo is still hungrier and for sure, he wants to unite all the belt in this weight class if it is allow. But most of the time, those sanctions bodies and boxing politics are preventing this to happen.
Because of the governing bodies rules and the promoters greed we are having a hard time to see the best go against the best, these people and organizations don't want to collaborate to give us the best fight, we seldom see boxing unification bouts, each organization and promoters wants to protect and their boxers, because it's their cash cow and they don't want to lose it's drawing power in terms of sales.

Both of them are obvious professional, and with the current status of Caleb Plant as the champion, I don't think that he will overlook Truax because he is looking for the next big fight of his career. For Truax though, he should really train very hard, this is just one of a lifetime opportunity for him again to become a world champion.
But for sure Plant will be the favourite as he is the champion and the younger of the two.

And if we would remember, his name was in the discussion for a potential fight with Canelo, however, Callum got the call so Caleb was left to fight Truax.
And if he wins, he will be definitely get the sweepstakes on fighting Canelo next. They are both in the same division and sooner or later the two fighters will eventually have to fight for reunification.
I hope they do fought so Canelo can unite all the titles, he has better chance of doing this and become the pound for pound king for another year, his win against Callum is just so impressive that made me think, no one among his division can match his skill and power, only Golovkin comes close to match his skill and power, these two should do a trilogy.

This is a battle between young with a perfect record and an experience boxer that has an advantage with regards to overall fights and age as their age difference is 9 years. This fight will test Plant career for sure as he is holding a title while Truax didn't have any.
They have a really close average rounds of 6.5 for Truax and 5.5 for Plant, this can mean that we can see a deciding match between this rounds or at the least the fight will end at this stages but who knows, they even have a close KO percentage which means this match is almost an equal. I would go for the Caleb Plant on this one though.

It's s huge upset if Plant loses this match he is building his reputation as the next big fighter in that division, I have seen some of his fights although he has big punching power, he still is a raw fighter and I don't think he can match up Canelo's power he needs great trainer like Reynoso and more big fights.

For somebody who has been a champion for a while already it is dissapointing to continue seeing Plant continue to face this kind of opposition. He keeps being mentioned as an opponent for Benavidez and Canelo but those fights never materialize. After 4 title fights it is time for him to face an elite fighter.
And you can see the odds which obviously favour Plant. I don't think many bettors will place on Truax. But if miraculously Truax will win on this fight, those who will bet on him will win big time. Well, upon seeing on their record is that Caleb Truax has more experience and that it gives him the advantage and he was a veteran. But couldn't expect Caleb Plant to easily give up his undefeated record for him and he likely sure to retain such a record.
But then, I have to give vote for Caleb Truax for this because of his experience and number of knockouts, it is still far from his opponet.

Yes, Caleb Plant will be the betting odd's favourite here. I don't see Caleb Truax giving Plant any problem. Plant is on the prime of his career, while Truax was on the twilight already, and has seen better days by once becoming a champion by upsetting DeGale years ago.
Interesting to note that Caleb Plant has criticised Callum's Smith performance against Canelo and he said that Smith really folded on that fight when Callum was hit by a body shot. So let's see how he will perform down to road against Canelo, as Alvarez has said that he will stay on the super middleweight weight class.

Well, everyone seem to support the favorite here(Caleb Plant) but undermining the strength of Caleb Truax, this guy will do exploit as he has to prove himself once again in the fight of Caleb2. Plant is a well known fighter but Caleb Truax be a slow down fighter on his previous fight might change this time, possibly there might be a disappointment for favorite IMO.
