Actually it was the good match after a longer period, Estrada had their good punches in the first half. He only played the offensive game to score for the game point. Chocolatito was the good player but he can’t able to score the points in the first due to offensive game. Chocolatito had made his second half with the counter attack to the first half offensive game and he became a offensive in second half. The second half game was the reason for the change in the game, it was unexpected one. But his strategy towards game was unique,he only used the defending game and made the opponent weak by the punches.

After the fight Estrada said he expects Gonzalez to do better in the second half and that he doesn't want him to take over and so he pushes himself eventhough out gun to still maintain and throw some punches and that is enough to sway two of the judges.

He did a great job, it was a close fight, judges also are having a hard time scoring the match, and although this is already the 3rd fight, I'm pretty sure people will still appreciate if they will schedule the fourth fight. It's like a Pacman vs Marquez fight, both are very aggressive and very entertaining to watch.

Through the first six rounds, Juan Francisco Estrada landed 86 power punches while Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez landed 66.

Over the last six rounds, Gonzalez landed 121 power punches and Estrada landed 106. In rounds 8 thru 10, Gonzalez landed 73 punches- all of them power punches.

Gonzalez’s late-rounds surge narrowed the punch totals, but was too late to swing the judges’ cards in his favor.

And as the way I see it, it was Estrada on the first half of the fight as Gonzalez is a slow starter. But when he had warmed up, he try to get back specially with power punches. But only the judges can score the fight the way it is, so for them it's not enough rally for Chocolatito to favor him in the trilogy.

For me, it was a draw hehe. First half it was Estrada's while in the second half, it was Gonzales' and we could see it in the compubox. They were just relentless and was good as advertised and fans would even buy if there will be the fourth fight to really settle the score because some may see it that there is some sort of an unfinished business as no one dominated the other in the third fight.

I think that result is possible because there is one judge who score it that way. Yes, I do agree that in the first half Estrada was the busier puncher and scoring, but Gonzalez did more damage in the second half for me that he was able to overcome that sort of big lead that Estrada put in the first half.

After the fight Estrada said he expects Gonzalez to do better in the second half and that he doesn't want him to take over and so he pushes himself eventhough out gun to still maintain and throw some punches and that is enough to sway two of the judges.

Well I was busy at that time, but I've watch the replay.

It's sad to see Chocolatito is lose again, he was favorited in this forum and the bookie, but well it's what it's referee will always favor on the champion rather than the challenger. I don't know why Tim Cheatham can score 116-112 favor on Estrada, it's quite far to be honest. Estrada didn't even dominating Chocolatito for many rounds. I don't think there's will be a fourth fight, maybe Chocolatito is already have a plan to retire.

Unfortunately, our predictions is wrong, but if Chocolatito just didn't start slow, he may have a chance to win the fight. He is behind in the scorecard and for sure he knows it that why he made a big rally in the second fight and the numbers don't lie. But this judges didn't see it, maybe just one, who score it a draw and the number a slim of a led but this one judge judge have it 116-112 is a surprised but obviously this judges are not going to score it the same as we do and again, it was Estrada who won on their scoring.

It was a clean win by Estrada,  so he deserve to win and to the bettors who trusted him.

Estrada learned a lot from their last two fights he knows that Roman is going to come and take the fight to him so he accumulates points by playing good defense frustrating Chocolatito and landing good counter punches, style really makes a good fight they want to slug it out but Estrada landed the most relevant and solid punches and that's what gets the Judge's nod, the fight is too close but it goes down to how the judges appreciate both boxers styles and punches, and they score on a boxer who can land a good punch than who throws volume punches.

He was so effective with his counter punches, until the 12 rounds, Chocolatito was still the aggressor but he wasn't hitting clean shots anymore. It's quite close because one judge scored a draw but two judges does not want this fight to end in a draw as they scored in Favor of Estrada. This fight is one of my favorite fights this year and I'm happy that their rivalry has ended.

Yes, Chocolatito tries to rally in the second half of the fight and wanted to win, but it seems the Estrada has a huge lead already that is hard to overcome by Gonzalez. And I think Chocolatito would need to have a knock down or knock out to be able to overcome what the judges see in the first 6 rounds.

Obviously fans enjoy the fight although it might not end the way bettors wanted to be because Chocolatito is the favorite as per bookies.

Fan favorite fight for this year because it's a war and back and forth, yes, I do agree that this might be the best fight of the year.

I knew it! I should have bet on Estrada but then, I slept and when I wake up the fight was over.  I haven't watched the fight since I am sleeping, the first time I search on the result, a review said that the match decision is still controversial, a majority decision for Estrada.  I wonder what is the controversial there, I heard Estrada had dominate the 1st to 5th round, that alone can impress the judges making their succeeding scoring biased, since Estrada had established his dominance, so a little effort from Estrada can gain the judge favor each round.  I think this should have been a unanimous decision in favor of Estrada.

Btw, the way fans react to the decision, do you think there will be another match for the two?

Not sure if Estrada is willing for another fight, but who knows, if there is money on the line then maybe in the future they can still fight. Still very close though, and it's debatable as this standpoint, so we can still say that the decision is controversial specially that there is one judge who see the fight at 114-114. So I don't see any dominance on Estrada win here, he wanted a knockout in as he said before the fight. If he did then maybe there is no doubt that we don't need a 4th fight.

If I'm not mistaken, there is someone who voted for Estrada to win, and if he really did bet on him then for sure it was a good win.

Estrada is a heavy underdog even in the poll here Estrada only got 1 vote out of 16 votes

Estrada   - 1 (6.3%)
Chocolatito   - 15 (93.8%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)
Total Voters: 16

The fight is too close Chocolatito is pouring a lot of punches in the late rounds of the fight I thought that it was enough to get the nods of the judges but Estrada already build an early lead, I'm sure people will not mind having a fourth fight, the fight is just too close that it could go either way and it goes to Estrada's favor this time.

Betting odds for this fight.

Many people must have bet on estrada, perhaps even to try their luck predicting that the same thing of the past would happen, and were lucky to get it right, pity that I did not bet on this fight

Was Estrada the underdog? Well, if they bet on him they must have enjoyed their winning. If I would have bet on this fight, I would choose Chocolatito because I believe he is the better fighter, but this fight is really close and there could be a fourth fight if they still want to entertain the fans.

Congratulations to both fighters for entertaining the fans, and congratulations to Estrada for winning the fight.

Another fight with controversial decision, in Marco estrada defeated Gonzalez for a controversial decision, yesterday another fight in which he ended with another controversial decision, the fight for what I saw of videos until it seemed balanced in most rounds, but estrada came out of the fight As a winner, I think they should already think that this Is last fight, I doubt someone is enthusiastic that he wants to see another fight of them, knowing how always their struggles ends

lucky for those who placed bet on estrada.

The match is back and forth I only get to see the highlights but it was a very hard match to judge after the match I don't know who won but I favor Chocolatito because I usually did not read comments on highlights, I thought its draw, the judges favor Estrada by a slim margin but for me, it did not settle the rivalry, they just take the fight where they left off in their last two fights, this is a fight of the year candidate the way both boxers slug it out, this really is a legacy fight for both fighters.

and this is another upset that most of us are not expecting to come about. lucky for those who placed bet on estrada. now, wondering if chocolatito's camp will ask for the fourth one after consulting his family and promoter. seems that they still need to finish their face off in a clear ending like KO in the first few rounds. the stats with this third one is saying that estrada had a lil edge over chocolatito, hence, the win.

I have it as draw similar to the judge that scores 114-114.

Chocolatito usually starts so slow that's why Estrada was able to make out it and take advantage so in my book 5 out of 6 for Estrada.

But in the second hand, Chocolatito come back strong as well, so 5 out of 6 for him.

However,  Dennis O’Connell (115-113) and Tim Cheatham (116-112) for Estrada so it's Majority decision. Nevertheless it was really a war between this to boxer, one of the best trilogy in boxing and maybe this could be a fight of the year candidate.
