Boxing has truly become a joke because of the kind of matches it is making nowadays. We've seen Mayweather against the MMA athlete McGregor, Mayweather against the kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, vlogger Logan Paul against basketball player Nate Robinson. There was also the talked about Pacquiao against McGregor and now Mayweather against Logan Paul.

Dana White is just right in mocking the current state of the sports of boxing.

Mayweather is past his prime fighting in real boxing matches that he opted for exhibition only, there are now great boxers now like Spence and Crawford, why not come back and make history again, this will not up to his legacy he just after money going for the easiest guy to beat in the ring, no way Paul could win against him.

Lol, it's the money indeed and because of money, Floyd Mayweather is becoming more of a clown  Smiley.

I would not be surprised that he will be a part of another comic act after this one because it's the way of Pretty Boy to sustain his lavish lifestyle.
If Floyd Mayweather can make millions of dollars with these acts, why not. After all to be a sportsman there is a limited time period and if he can extend that and still earn hundreds of millions of dollars fighting nobody, then it is his marketing skills and we should appreciate his skills to sell the tickets so that he could still make millions .

And not it is obvious that he doesn't care for his legacy, yes he is undefeated one of the best, but I wouldn't say he is the TBE which he claim to be. So probably in the next 10-20 years, when there is a talk of who is the GOAT in boxing, his name will come up, however, him fighting exhibition for money is not a good case for him.

So it's going to be a long debate, him and Manny Pacquiao, opposition they face during their careers and what legacy they left in boxing.

Sorry if this one might an off topic on but would really be worth the mention about earning on possible exhibition fight where that recent Tyson and Roy Jr. fight did really get
1 million pay per view only in US. There's no total calculation yet but basing those numbers then we can presume that making money on this pandemic season with these
fighters are plausible: https://www.sportbible.com/boxing/boxing-news-legends-stats-mike-tyson-vs-roy-jones-jr-drew-over-1-million-pay-per-view-buys-20201202

When things gets heat and hyped up then expect that there's really a big potential on milking out some money into its fans or supporters.

The question on this one is that, will Mayweather be showing off some running skills on this fightGrin

If he will indeed show again his running skills here, I guess people need to wake up to reality that this person is  not worth to watch in boxing. He is already fighting Logan Paul, who is far far below his skills. So don't ever think that he will run around the ring here and just counting points. He can enjoy all his money but boxing fans don't deserve to watch a lame fight.

Of course, that's his fighting style, (I don't know if you can call it style though). As what he always say, hit and not be hit. Maybe he will stay in the corner and be trap, and let Logan hit him, that is if he is quick enough, because we all know how good Floyd's reflex even at his age.

I want to see some trash talking though, in media and in person. Logan started it already in his social media saying that this is the going to be the biggest upset in sporting history. LMAO.

After the success of the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. exhibition fight, Floyd Mayweather has decided to follow in their footsteps and will be fighting Logan Paul in an exhibition fight. Logan did not look good in his fights against KSi so this should be an easy fight for Floyd. The one advantage the Youtuber has is his size, he is a natural cruiserweight. There are no details on what the weight limit will be for this fight.

We expect this because of the Tyson- Jones huge success they even beat the Fury - Wilder match in their of pay per view part of the success of Tyson- Jones exhibition match is the proceeds of the match where it will go for a cause, but this Mayweather - Paul it will just go to Mayweather's pocket unless he announced that it will go to charity.

Money. Money. Money. Not surprising at all.

As per Floyd Mayweather itself, he will be only taking an exhibition match and will not fight again in a professional and titled match.

Unlike in Tyson's exhibition match that serves a purpose, this Mayweather vs Paul fight is more of a street trash talk that wants to settle everything in an official match. More hype = more money.

And he keeps that clown look until he finally decides to retire from boxing. This fight proves that Floyd is not the best boxer but a best milking money boxer in the world. A little bit funny but that is what I saw in this and might some boxer saw it.

Anyway, the fight has been scheduled for next year, well, I hope that he changes his mind and does not fight. Because he just makes himself ridiculous and a clown. Better for him to stop doing this and the people might appreciate his decision.

This is another easy money for the team Mayweather even though this is just an exhibition match but I don't see any chance that Logan Paul would win even the slightest chance. I hate to admit it but I know how strong Mayweather on defensive battle so I don't think Logan Paul would make a scratch on Mayweather's defense.

I wonder why they keep throwing cash for this when they know who will gonna win at the end. Rich people are making it obvious already that they just want the money to flow right back at them. Well, as for the gamblers I think they have some handicap on how to make the match interesting for them. Huh

Of course, Floyd won't choose a boxer whom we gonna fight that he can't be of 100% to win. This is a sure win fight for money, that he got the money already. I don't think if this event could buy a lot of people to watch the party since this gonna be like a drama. Maybe, it is very interesting if he fights against Manny Pacquiao or Canelo Alvarez, that seems excited to see compared this fighter.

Both camps are only hyping this up to get more money. I haven't seen any article mentioning if some of the proceeds will go to charity. Seems that they are doing this for their own pockets. Maybe Mayweather accept this exhibition fight because Logan Paul has a lot of fans, and thinking that they can rake good amount of money here. Let us see if they can indeed attract buyers of this match even without the charity thing.

I was thinking to myself, do you think there will be more fights from retired fighters in the future? For example, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather and others? Including others sports too?!?

So Floyd is starting to follow the lead of Mike Tyson, does it mean that Floyd is also experiencing some financial issues the same to what happen to Mike and he will be doing this exhibition to earn some money.
The problems of Mike Tyson is well documented but Floyd Mayweather is a smart man when it comes to investment even though he flaunts his wealth just as a gimmick he created and he will grab the opportunity to make huge amount of money with little effort and that is how he operates after his boxing career as a champion and the Logan Paul fight is another opportunity to fight him in an exhibition bout and make a large amount of money.

Are you kidding me? Logan Paul against Floyd Mayweather? What will Logan do here? Why doesn't he just say yes to a Manny Pacquiao's rematch? It will be a bigger match and bigger money if that's what he wants. We all know who will win here and we all know how will this end, Let the YouTubers do their thing and let the pros do theirs.

Aside from money Floyd also concern with his title, the undefeated fighter would not stake the title fighting back Pacquiao, as he already knew his capabilities and his determination to beat him. This upcoming fight against Logan is much easier and still there's money that will be stake after the fight.

Why risk if you can just get an easy one, chance that he might lose against Pacquiao is too high so why
bother to accept the fight, unless there's a huge amount of $$$ that he may collect same like before, it
might be a close deal .

He wants it easy, I don't know how much money he needs but I don't think that match could draw large money since at the end of the day Logan Paul will be the one getting all the exposures for his YouTube videos in the future. In terms of Logan, Im impressed since even if I am getting a huge money from it, I don't think I'll only get scratches facing an undefeated champion.

fly or die
I thought that boxing was a serious sport, unlike wrestling, but now I'm starting to have my doubts. Surely betting on such a match shouldn't be allowed, since the result will probably be decided in advance ?

Maywether is a very clever boxer and he always choose an easy fight as long as he can see an opportunity while aiming to earn a huge amount of money from it. I am not really fan with Mayweather even if he has a perfect record because of his fighting style but I salute him to what he achieved. This will be an easy win for Mayweather for sure even if he cannot KO Logan as he has almost all the advantages compare to Logan Paul.

Floyd has more money than he knows what to do with. He is probably aiming at become the first boxer to become a billionaire. That's why he keeps doing these freak show boxing matches. His last three fights, including this one, will be against guys with no legitimate boxing experience and he is still making more money than any of his real fights with the exception of the Pacquiao fight. He has no problem selling himself out and being a laughingstock as long as it is easy money.

Floyd Mayweather, the only boxing legend that became having a childish mindset after retirement.

In the honor of Money, he will do everything.

I can't blame him though that in exchange for that, he can earn huge money in just a short period of exposure. Fake trash-talks to make it more hype. After the match, shake hands and peace offer lol.

+1 on this one which is actually true thats why when he do retire then i wont really be surprised if people wont consider his greatness even if he do retire with zero loss.

Its totally different when a boxer do really get everybody's appreciation when it comes to his good fighting career which doesnt really involved that
running like chicken and evading all the time.

In general sense where boxing do matter most on making points or making hit up the opponent without being hit then thats the fundamentals
but fans do really expect something more.
