This fight won't even happen. Not now , not in the future or ever.

Agreed.  It has been obvious since Tyson himself said that no fight between him and Logan Paul was ever even in the works.  As I've stated before, there was a short talk about Jake Paul fighting Tyson, but Tyson saw that it was just an attempt to make money off of his name and he wasn't interested.  The fact is that Mike is too old to be fighting.  Sure, he could still kick nearly everyone's ass, but the risk of injury or permanent health issues is too much for someone in his position to risk.

For that reason, I think this thread should be locked.  It's been slapped around far too much for something that was nothing more than a publicity stunt by promoters who were hoping they could get this fight going.

This fight won't even happen. Not now , not in the future or ever. This was just an idea of quick money grabbing and in my opinion , boxing is a dying sport right now and it's sad but true.

Regarding this event, I would be ashamed of me if I was Logan Paul ...just to have the guts to challenge the Iron Tyson says a lot about this new generations of boxers who barely have respect for the sport or his opponent or veterans.
Thinking the future of the boxing sports it seems that you are right it's almost dying right now .but I hope that's not gonna happen.
There are different kinds of attitudes the fighter has, some fighter are very respectful, they will respect their opponents until the end of their fight. But there's other fighter get the crowd by bragging and talk bad things about their opponents.
If you say this, although it is a little painful to say, boxing is not as famous as it used to be and it is not wrong to say that this is a dying thing.
But on the other hand maybe for now it won't be too bad because there are still many boxers who are quite good, especially for young people.
Call it Garcia, Inoue and even Casimero they are good enough to advance the boxing I think because they are young people who are still enthusiastic here.

Obviously it does not happen to everyone but it happens to a great deal of players, for example on the NFL the average length of a player's career is something like 4 or 5 years, so even if they are paid good money for their services this means that at some point they need to find another way to earn a living, and it is incredibly difficult to believe they are going to find another job that pays so well, so the majority of the players end up broke at some point during their lives.
Obviously this is a sad part for majority of the sportsman, if they are not smart to invest in something that could earn them a living during their prime playing time then they will suffer when their career ends, once they reach the level of luxury it will be hard for them to live a normal life and usually their wealth runs out faster than they think and ends up filing for bankruptcy.
Unfortunately this is incredibly common, an athlete lives out of their body and we know that eventually no matter how hard they train a limit is reached and their abilities start to deteriorate and then their career is over, but by that time they have developed a series of expensive habits that while they could be maintained while they were working and receiving an exceptional pay once that is over they cannot afford it anymore, but they keep living live that, which eventually causes them to go bankrupt.

~ I'm glad that this fight won't happen and Tyson did a good job for that not letting Logan Paul cover the losses he made when he bought a fake Pokemon card set. Cheesy

I would have loved to have seen this fight even if it was an exhibition fight and I'm sorry for the media hype surrounding a fight that wasn't even planned by either Mike Tyson or Logan Paul. I hope Iron Mike gets in the ring again and makes his fans happy.

I see with all boxing player have been quit almost one or two years and return back to arena because get higher attention and much payment for reschedule match, from Manny Pacquiao match between Miguel Cotto where both player have long time quit from arena and back again with higher money pay by sponsorship.

I don't know what you're talking about but during the Pacquiao-Cotto fight both fighters have no yet retired once.
Infact Pacquiao was at his prime during those time continuing to destroy every opponent he faced.
And most of those who came back to the ring aren't back to fight for a professional matches, they fight for exhibition matches just like this one.
Well, that's obviously because it will earn them extra money and it's not even a professional fight.
Well, maybe it refers to the time that after Pacquiao's fight with Myweather, he speculated if he was going to be a politician or if he was going to continue in boxing, in that time that he spent thinking about what he was going to do is when all those speculations began, obviously it is a providential time, but finally Pacquiao is not totally out of the sport, he is a boxer with a view to other directions, in this case politics, although seeing everything from another perspective it is probable that with everything that has happened from the problem of Russia and Ukraine things slow down more, especially the events worldwide.

With the popularity of Mike Tyson, he will just give Logan Paul easy money.

Maybe that's what he thinks and it seems unfair that the show will just make big money just because of him without Logan Paul's effort. Mike Tyson said that Logan Paul is willing to receive some big punches just for the exhibition match to happen.

I'm glad that this fight won't happen and Tyson did a good job for that not letting Logan Paul cover the losses he made when he bought a fake Pokemon card set. Cheesy

This is dependent on the financial management of the athletes themselves. In fact, there have been many examples where they suffered from bankruptcy in their old age and one of them was Myke Tyson himself.
I think there are some things that need attention from some fighters and athletes because indeed the glamorous life they lead can sometimes affect their old age.

Mike Tyson filed for bankruptcy in 2003. Since then, he has become a millionaire again. It is true that he was famous for his taste for a very luxurious life, but it seems that all this is long behind him.
It does not change the fact that such a fight would be very profitable for him. I doubt that even the richest athlete would want to give up such large and easy money for some stupid reason.

Money plays a role for this fight to happen but in the case of Mike Tyson declining the chance of this fight to happen, it's clear he is not after just the money.

We don't know the real reason why this fight failed to be officialized so it's safe to assume that we won't see this fight anymore.

That's true, living the luxury life and then going bankrupt because of not being wise. It's easy to have that feeling from rags to riches than riches to rags. The adjustment is difficult on that part because you'll have no longer access to the luxurious way of living. Well, it's becoming a thing now if the topic is about Tyson because of his past. But regardless of that, the man has been able to do that. And hopefully, for most of the sports associations, if they're seeing an athlete that's soaring on their career, they should teach them basic financial education. Because it's likely that they really are hardworking as an athlete yet they lack financial knowledge that will be vital for their future even if they run into a successful career.
One of the major reasons is rags to riches and they wanted to enjoy everything that they lost growing up and they spend more money on that aspect to live a luxurious life rather than looking ahead. I have heard stories about Mike Tyson during his prime, when he meets ladies in bar he would take them to luxurious showrooms and ask them to select exotic cars as gifts, he lived a life of luxury and then had to file for bankruptcy. Similar stories can be heard about Andy Ruiz Jr after winning the fight against Anthony Joshua he spent most of his money purchasing exotic cars.

Associations will not help the athlete and will not help them in any way. The individual has to take steps on how to deal with fame and fortune much before he gets to that place and only that can help them.
I have just thought of that if the associations that are assigned for specific sports have been seeing a career fly high for their athlete, they can teach them how to be wise in handling finances. But yeah, that's a personal struggle and learning for those athletes.
And those that have learned the hard way, maybe they can advocate themselves and help their co-athletes as they're one in the industry and to avoid the mistakes that they've done in the past.

They will think about how much money pay by sponsorship for begin games and not matter how long have quit from arena, I see with all boxing player have been quit almost one or two years and return back to arena because get higher attention and much payment for reschedule match, from Manny Pacquiao match between Miguel Cotto where both players have long time quit from the arena and back again with higher money pay by sponsorship.

Yes you are right that mate every single fight in the arena is a big fight and a big prizes also even the fighter will loss in the match there's a big chances to win a big amount of money.
But if the player did not handle with care in their money and spent it their wants for sure they will regret it in the future cause what I said above if they do not handle carefully for sure they will go to bankruptcy.

This is the mindset of another sportsman if when they are in their price years or time they spent their money for their wants and not investing this mindset is not good cause every tomorrow, we can not predict what happens for example if you are in the prime year's/time spending your money in useless wants, and the time has come your career will end and you have a little amount of money and day by day you will spent it in your needs, for sure you will get into bankruptcy. So choose wisely and be practical.

There are exemptions on getting bankrupt which whoever you are as long you arent wise on spending on your money then sooner or later you would really be wrekt up.
We know that each fight could really generate out income on both fighters whether they do win or lose but we know that winning does really get the bigger pot which
fighters/athletes would really be doing their best on getting that spot.Speaking about of on how they would use their money then its none of our business since they are
the ones who do earn it, it is  really just sad on seeing that there are people who doesnt mind much in regard on spending.

The huge money they can take home from that fight is what can make them think about coming back from retirement and if there's a huge money will be offered to them to make this fight happen then for provably they can seal this deal on. Imagine they cannot take this money again since they know that this is huge opportunity given already to them.
