I'm looking for the latest update on this fight if the fight will push through but the latest update was two days ago, we haven't heard on Oscar Dela Hoya on what his stance, and since both fighters are raring to go, I'm sure Oscar will give in because he doesn't want Ryan to be inactive for a long time as it will harm his condition when the time for him to fight top contenders in his division.
If the fight happens I have Ryan winning probably by knockout, if he is not restrain from hurting Anpo, I have seen Anpo fight and he has a weak defense that Ryan offense can easily gets in.

Yes, his stance is obviously no go for this fight as he was not informed.

But maybe if Ryan or any of his representative can talk to Oscar for sure they can sort things out and make this fight official. But let's see, it looks like the Japanese that handle this fight has made everything already, so it's hard to back it out.

Of course we will have Ryan here winning by knockout, although the fight is at 153 lbs and we haven't yet see Ryan moving as high as this weight class and maybe he can't carry his power on Jr. Middleweight.

Message @Hhampuz if you are looking for a CM!
This isn’t final yet since there’s no official approval from Golden Boy Promotions. But if this fight does happen, Ryan needs to secure an impressive win, especially with the news going around that he’s eyeing a challenge against Jake Paul.

Check out this article for more details.
Ryan Garcia has vowed to 'end' Jake Paul's boxing career after 'giving birth to it' by introducing the YouTuber to the sport.

Garcia is currently serving a suspension from professional boxing for his three positive drug test taken around his last outing against Devin Haney in April.

But I'm surprised that he was the one who introduced Jake Paul to the sport. And now that Jake Paul is making millions, he suddenly wants to join the trend. Honestly, his action is understandable, I mean..  who would say no to that kind of money, especially if he knows he can beat Jake Paul? It’s like, if the opportunity is there and you can cash in, why not, right?

Of course it's a scripted match from all indications anyone attentive can notice it, it's gonna be nothing more than an entertainment fight which the tendency is that a clear winner may not emerge. I don't expect to see a knockout (KO) either. May be it's part of why GBP are said not to be a party to the fight.
well thats what boxing right now especially those who have a million followers on social media, wherein they accept any match for money and for sure Garcia well take this match for ntertainment only. Haha
Where have you been mate? This whole exhibition matches started during the pandemic. Sort of to get out of our boredom. And so this influencer started to fight former boxer and even if we are now in the norm, it is still hugging the limelight as there are people who wanted to see this kind of intriguing match and so it makes a lot of money and obviously makes sense. Just like what we have seen in Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson recently.
Oh mate I took a trip to Mars all this while! On a serious note now. I do understand that there are persons who want to get thrilled and entertained at all cost, and for such persons a boxing match of this kind won't pass them by. Since the departure from the pandemic many organised ideas that were originally introduced to lighten up people's lives while indoors later resonated deeply with the people so much that even with the post COVID it still finds a place with them, between those who are making money from it and the spectators who takes pleasure in the scripted sport.

Ryan gonna toy Anpo in the ring with his left. He better know the distance to where he should be and just wait for Ryan to come and not pressure Ryan instead or he be greeted with left like Haney.

This is an exhibition however but almost like the main event in the Rizin boxing. Just want the people to watch and stick around for the whole event waiting for Ryan's fight.  Grin
Anpo would be no match when it comes to speed. Come to think that he's been that able to be having a hard time on blocking up Pacquiao's punch despite of being old.
How much more on prime Ryan? Anpo might be having that reach advantage but when it comes to speed then this is something that have no question. Just like on what everyone is saying that this is really
just an exhibition on which fight will really be that scripted and they will really be that making it look cool as much as possible. There's no way i can be able to see that Anpo
would be taking down Ryan so easily but he shouldnt really be that confident of course because when it comes to power and reach advantage then Anpo does have it.

Not just speed by power as well, and with that Ryan will be the heavy favorite in this fight as obviously, it will be in the boxing ring which is Ryan strength. Although in the press conference, the Japanese is not afraid of Ryan and so they go on and trash talk against each other.

And I do not see this as scripted as well, boxing fight is hard to follow some certain things and in the Pacquiao fight, Manny did go and try to knockout Anpo but the Japanese was good at running. But here he is facing a prime boxer in Ryan so if the odds is going to be attractive for Ryan to get a knockout, I might go with it.

Probably this is just another story board that Ryan Garcia wanted to bring out so it will create more hype in bringing Pacquaio's name in the table. But it has nothing to do with the fight, it's all about the money that he will be making. Ryan might have been offered like $5m-$10 here I reckon. And with that kind of money, you can't really refuse as Ryan can beat Anpo easy.

I don’t know, we’ve all seen how Pacman struggled against Anpo, and now people want him to fight Ryan Garcia? Honestly, I don’t see that happening. No disrespect to Pacman, he’s a legend, the only 8-division champion... but let’s face it, he’s not young anymore, so (really i doubt) beating a young and former champion like Ryan? That’s a tough ask, even for him. Age catches up with everyone, even the greats.

Do you think this fight is going to push through despite GBP not signing off of this fight?

I hope so, but it is possible that GBP will eventually agree, who knows if this not signing is just a ploy to excite the fans to see the match realized.

It is evident who has the advantage here, it is Ryan Garcia since they are in a boxing match and Ryan Garcia is naturally a boxer, Anpo even though he had an exhibition match against the legend Manny Pacquiao, we can't deny the fact that Ryan is much faster, much younger and is at his prime.  However, we can also expect a draw here since this is just an exhibition fight and the fighter will probably just enjoy their time inside the ring while showing their boxing skills.

I hope so...

I had a feeling this would happen, especially since Ryan was there during that fight (exhibition fight with Manny). It makes sense they’d start talking about a possible exhibition match afterward. Pacman didn’t look sharp, he looked his age, retired, and a bit rusty. So yeah, Ryan might be seeing this as a chance to avenge his idol. And if there’s no script involved, we might even witness a KO.

They’re around the same height and age I guess, so I expect this to be a very entertaining fight. As for the betting odds, I haven’t seen them yet, but I’m sure Ryan will be the heavy favorite here... This could also be a good preparation for Ryan so he'll not be rusty once he comes back for a professional fight, of course after serving the suspention.
When it comes to exhibition fights then it would really be that so hard to believe that someone will really be going on fast KO there. Despite with those tension in between Anpo and Garcia but still there would be those scripts on which they would really be needing to follow. We dont actually know on why Garcia is really that eager on beating up Anpo as he looks up his idol MP didnt really badly hurt so much with that exhibition match. If he sees something and come up with this kind of interest on fighting Anpo because of some personal reason then he might be able to show off at least his best on this upcoming
exhibition but of course it will really be depending whether this one would be pushed through or not.

As stated that he's still under contract with GBP and if there would be some possible negotiations with this then it could be possible. No one really just knows on how things
do end up as long there's money involved and crowd interest then it could be plausible.

Ryan has a month to settle it with Oscar. It seems this exhibition match is all set up. I think it will proceed. If they don't agree on certain terms, legal proceedings might follow later on. For now, things are already arranged.

Although this is an exhibition fight, Anpo knows how to box. They're both young and strong. So, I'm interested to watch this. And this isn't like that garbage match between Paul and Tyson. It seems Ryan and Anpo are both capable of hurting each other and protecting themselves. There'll be no script here.

who knows, but if he is in contract with Golden Boy Promotions, wouldn't he possibly get in legal trouble if he continues with this fight even if it is just an exhibition match if he ignores his promoter?

also, this might not be related to the topic but I remember reading that Ryan Garcia is not on good terms with his Promoter.

The fight is still 50/50 to happen, but I hope it happens. Ryan's long lay off will have a repercussion on his performance and with this exhibition fight, he can get out of that ring rust. Its dangerous for a boxer to have a ring rust like what happened to Danny Garcia, and besides, we want Anpo to suffer because of what he did to Pacquiao.
I believe this is going to be an easy fight for Ryan; he is much quicker, has more power, and has more skill than Anpo; he knows boxing, while Anpo will look naive as a boxer.

Yeah, but I'm more concern of his contract with GBP promotions as obviously they didn't allow this for Ryan, to fight oversees and in a exhibition match. How can he not tell GBP about it? Perhaps they will not allow it, so that is his concern, but if he is under contract, then the could be sued by Oscar again.

But if this fight pushes, Ryan might have ring rust in the first couple of rounds, but once he got the feel of it, Anpo could sleep in the canvass. So let's see, maybe they can settle this things, him and Oscar and obviously Oscar wanted to have a piece of what Ryan is getting from the Japanese.

I believe that's one of his goals, to assess where he is now inside the ring. It will be like his preparation before the big fight.
Most boxing fans are predicting that Garcia will win on this exhibition match in a KO. Don't know if bookies will add this to their betting list.

After watching the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, here we go again with another exhibition match. This one looks exciting too, even though it’s a real boxer versus a kickboxer. Still, it’s intriguing, especially since Anpo showed some serious power last time when he tried to knock out Manny Pacquiao. Now, the question is, can he pull off something similar against Ryan Garcia?

Both fighters only have a little over a month to train, but honestly, that should be enough since it’s just an exhibition. Let’s see how this one plays out, it could be an entertaining clash of styles,. ( rooting for Garcia here)  Cheesy

There's not much preparation needed if it is only exhibition fight as the rules are different as compared to a professional boxing match. For Garcia, it will be his like conditioning match to gauge his strength. And for sure, Garcia will be the heavy favourite when it comes to odds

That’s a very realistic prediction. I don’t underestimate Anpo, but Ryan is the real boxer here, a former champion who only lost his title because of a cheating scandal. I don’t think Ryan needs any enhancement drugs for this fight; Cheesy Cheesy ... he could probably beat Anpo even without intense training. And since this is just an exhibition match, his chances of winning are even higher.

This fight is still in Japan, right? I have a feeling that even the locals might root for Garcia over their own boxer.

I think Ryan wants to avenge his idol, Manny Pacquiao, There's a lot of news circulating that the fight will not push because of Oscar's objection, but I believe it will because he cannot say no to Ryan, and of course he doesn't want Ryan to have a ring rust, and if Ryan wins here, it will also be credited to The Golden Boy Promotion. Even if this is an exhibition match.
Ryan has a complete edge here; Anpo can be considered an amateur in boxing; his movement will be limited, and Ryan could knock him out with his hook, so its a good tune-up fight for Ryan, and Oscar likes the idea so he can use this fight for future matchups.
