well if hollie is in australia, the touchpads werent available outside of the US/canada for the sale price. only the united kingdom enjoyed the sale and it was very briefly lived.

this could not be more clearly a scam. he even posted "Lulz"

come on now

It can really sound as scam, but I've to say that Ninja/Hollie orderd me 2 laser engraved cards and I still waiting for the money  Undecided , Stefanie also ordered  1 and payed quickly; the postal postal address is in Texas, while Ninja seems to live in Australia. Not that a 0,5BTC transaction is a big proof but it can be only a coincidence

Ninja sent me a PM that he mailed it to me today.  I will keep everyone updated.  Our transaction was only a few days ago so I don't think it's right to jump to conclusions yet.  He has been responsive to my PM's throughout.

"i mailed it"

mailed it how? by waht shipping service and tracking #... even first class USPS mail has tracking #s to confirm the item is being sent but have no status updates along the way...

he did not mail you a touchpad and you lost that money... talk about being a spring chicken. I wouldnt send any money to anyone on these forums without a picture of the printed out shipping prepaid label and Tracking # on it in his hands with username written on a piece of paper, and i wouldnt send any money without escrow. especially users who do not have emails publicly listed.

Every time I come on these forums there's talk about someone scamming someone.
I really hope this plays out to not be one of those cases.
Seems like anonymous currency is a double edged sword.
People think they can do whatever they want.
Time to grow up and be part of a society.

I actually thought about doing some sales with bitcoin (I've been around for a while and have a good rep as far as I can tell) but drumming up business might be hard when people 'expect' to be scammed.

-for those who sent him btc/$ I REALLY hope you're either reimbursed or Rec what you paid for.

Money is the root of all evil.
This guy/gal was using 2 accounts while selling the Humble Bundle, if you attacked the seller he/she would come with a second account to defend him/her..

That's just bad news right there..

I asked for my BTC back no answer back yet about it. If he does in fact send back my BTC or send a Touchpad I will apologize but I really don't believe it.

I have the one that I got on Aug. 10.
Then I bought more from my bestbuy contact.
And I got some from eBay just for re-selling purposes
And I have sold many things.
I have sold a EVO 3D & a few laptops.
And Hundreds of Humble Bundles when it was on.

either he's a freshman in highschool or he's hiding something (or maybe english is not their first language). Normal people who do business do not speak with such candor or with such sporadic statements.

also compare his posting style to the posting style of the user who "bought a macbook pro for him and sent first"
 (in this same topic)

I can vouch for him.
I brought a Macbook Pro from him.
I sent first & I received in about 4 days

how many people type one sentence and then hit enter and then type one more short sentence repeatedly for the whole post... not many. They're the same poster or they happen to think  and talk in exactly the same manner. they both even randomly use the ampersand sign (&) in place of "and" but will type the word "And" if it is the start of a sentence... how many native english speakers do you know that use "&" in the middle of a sentence but start a sentence with the normal word
Good catches.  Also, the "brought" vs "bought" misspelling from both profiles.

I hope, for the sake of the people who have already paid him, that he is not a scammer.  But this sort of stuff is hard to explain...

Glad I'm not the only one who was suspecting this. A forum admin could see if the IP's matched easy enough. But if they didn't match, doesn't mean anything, could be smart enough to log in to each account from somewhere else (proxy).

I think I'll stay away until I hear someone legit post a good word about Ninja (even though I really want a cheap Touchpad).
