The luck factor is still present. I believe we've all seen big teams lose against teams considered much weaker.
A less inspired or more inattentive player can make the difference for a team to win or lose. Or an unexpected goal from the weaker team, which creates an emotional shock that makes the rest of the game difficult for the players of the stronger team.
That's why in football, statistics are not always right.

Sure... there was a season (I think it was in 2020) in which Grêmio won all the matches against strong teams, but it lost to the weakest and who were at the bottom of the table even when they played at home... totally unexplained Cheesy

I've said before posts that Brazilian football is quite unpredictable, right? It's already complicated to hit the winner, betting on an exact result is even worse.

this makes a lot of sense
but still feels like the luck component is so high that sometimes must be hard to predict correctly, specially when we're talking about number of goals/points, not only the main winner or loser.

does it make sense?

There's no need to be upset
yes, I get that
and it's also much easier to bet on winners vs losers than trying to guess exact number of goals on the game
the second option is waaaaay harder

I think the criteria they take to make the bets are super, however I first take into account the most technical criteria, that is, how the team is doing, the players, the possible line-ups, which player has injuries and lastly I take into account what that represents the team that I like the most, or the favorite, because obviously when our emotions come into play it can invalidate any analysis.

Well, I think that Palmeiras is going through a difficult time, many types of crises go through the teams, however that's like when Corinthias doesn't do something right, even Santos, these teams are Brazil's value, at least for me I quickly identify when they name a team from Brazil because I have seen them play in the stadium, I know what their abilities are, and it may be that in every team they are having a hard time for x reasons, but once they recover they are unstoppable, we are talking of the Brazilians, where football is their religion, for me Palmeiras will rise in victories from now on.

I think this drop in profitability was because they focused on Libertadores. The games went well, but the squad was already more prepared for the Brasileirão games.
The championship this year will be decided in the details, as Palmeiras and Corinthias are very similar. It remains to be seen which detail will make the difference.

It won't be that easy this time because beside Palmeiras and Corinthians which for me they remain the top favorite to win the title, now we have Atletico MG and a couple of other teams that are divided by very few points which makes the Serie A of Brazil very entertaining this year.I

am surprised at how badly Sao Paulo has been doing from quite some time now,it looks like they are bad on finances or that they don't invest that much in the team anymore.I remember the time when Diego Tardelli made me winning almost every bet on them as he used to score in every single game, well that is quite some years ago and comparing the team of now makes me raise question. It is sad to see them outside the title fight for the moment.

Palmeiras with another bad result its the second in a row this time they lost their home game against atletico PR which allowed the visitors to take the second place, it was unexpected since they were the leaders and they were heavily favourites, they did not deserve to lose because they were the better team unfortunately their strikers were not surgical with this result we will see an interesting competition for the title.

Really Palmeiras was in an excellent series of games without losing, now it ended in this game with Atletico-PR.
Even so, it kept the first place. Now we'll see how the team reacts to this defeat and whether or not it regains its victories.

what are the best strategies for sports betting on soccer?
always betting on the favorite one and position size according to risk management?
curious on that

It s depends a lot... it depends on the championship, how much knowledge you have about the teams and players that will play in the match, etc.

In the case of the brazilian championship, I prefer to bet based on my convictions, without looking too much at favoritism... Brazilian football is very unpredictable Tongue

As for European games, I go more for the favorites, because I know I have less experience about the teams, but the games seem to be more predictable.

In any case, I assume that I've never made a lot of money from my bets, so please don't take what I say as a learning experience Wink

I think Internacional will beat America Mineiro tonight... I think they can even score at least 2 goals, judging from the last home matches...  Inter play well at home, which can't be said about America away... All the more, if they win there will be a good chance to get to the third place in the standings...
I think international will likely win but it would be tough america MG did a great job in the last game after a series of bad results i think such opponents are dangerous so i think it will be a tight game with one goal difference to separate the teams.

This should be an easy match for International against America MG. Even though America MG did win the last match, they are not in good form if we look at the last five matches played by them. But if we look at Internacional we will say that they only have one loss in the last five matches compared to the three losses of America MG. And in this match, if Internacional wins they will jump up to the third spot. So, I don't think they are going to miss the golden chance. And this match-up is very favorable for them to win.

I never expected Fluminense to win 4-0 against Corinthians in the last game but I think it just made the Serie A even better to watch and follow. Now there are the first six teams divided by just a mere 4 points between them and anything can happen. My all time and old favorite of Brazil Serie A,are starting to become stronger again,I see Internacional de Alegre being in sixth position and having a real look and fight for the title. In fact Corinthians,Atletico Mg and Palmeiras have one game less compared to the other teams that are divided by just 4 points but what took my eye is the recent form of Fluminense, which prompts me to believe they to be the strongest team so far in Serie A,they are the only team that have not lost a single game in the last five games they have played while all other teams in the top of the standings have at least lost one game in their last 5.Also Atletico MG has not lost a game in the 5 last games so a really unpredictable league so far,as who is going to win.I never seen any more competitive Serie A for years in Brazil.

The odds payout for a draw between Coritiba and Juventude at the end of the match is @3.30, I think the odds payout does look quite attractive since Coritiba are also on a poor form. Juventude are in desperate need of points at the moment in order to have a chance to survive from relegation and I think they could force a draw upon Coritiba.
It seems that juventude are not here to play the victim fourty minutes and they are leading 2 0 with an excelent performance and good ball possesion i think it is unlikely to lose this advantage especially if coritiba team does not change something i think now juventude will play an all out defense i think this game might end up 2 1.

this saturday, 38-year-old Frederico Chaves Guedes, known as Fred, who last played for fluminense fc, ended his career. with 158 goals, he is the second highest scorer in the brazilian 1st division - behind Roberto Dinamite (190), but ahead of Romario (154) and Pelé (101). Fred won the copa america with the brazilian national team in 2007. in addition, there are three french championships (2006 to 2008) and a cup success (2008) with olympique lyon, two titles with fluminense (2010 and 2012) and a cup triumph with cruzeiro ec (2018)

The Juventude occupe the penultimate place in the championship table, so a victory of him is the last thing I would bet on.
A draw really is a sensible result, but I believe a Coritiba victory that will play with a lot of claw to try to move further away from the relegation zone, besides being playing at home, which also counts a lot as an advantage.

I won't bet on this game, but I believe in a Coritiba victory.

Hey guys, I don't know how you are with the Copa Sudamericana, but yesterday Palmeiras lost against Deportivo Táchira, it was a very exciting game, very good, they were tied and everything was decided on penalties.

Who lost against Deportivo Táchira in the Copa Sudamericana was Santos, not Palmeiras. Palmeiras is playing in Libertadores.

Anyway, Palmeiras is still a solid team to bet on. And yet he remains in first place in the Brasileirão Championship!

Undoubtedly. The season is long, so it is important to manage the squad well. It is better for them to draw this game, at an early stage in the season, than to have the team exhausted in a final stage with important games taking place.
Palmeiras is a team that will never disappoint, just like Santos, I would really like to see those teams in all the championships, whether in the Copa Libertadores, of course Corinthias, which is proving to be one of the most solid teams in the league and on the other hand these teams have the solidity and enough experience as the match between Corinthians vs. Boca, that game is going to be very good. At this moment, Brazilian teams like Palmeiras can even afford to draw, something that nobody expected, but you have to consider that not all the time the teams are at 100%, some criticize their defense, I don't criticize them, pr now they are still in a very good comfortable place.

Well, let's see how Corinthians will perform in this game against Flamengo

I even believe some players will be spared (so they don't wear out) because a few days ago Corinthians beat Boca Juniors in Libertadores.

I don't know if Corinthians will go with "full force/max power" in this game that we will have on Sunday in Brazilian championship

And that game was tough, because they went to penalties and only won there. And after the Flamengo game there is the game for the Brazilian Cup.
A series of games, which will not be easy. You have to manage the squad very well.

Really this phase of the season is very demanding, which forces teams to manage their squad very well. This is good because it gives the opportunity for more players to play.

The game "Corinthians x Flamengo" should be very interesting.
Flamengo has been trying the course of this season, a little unstable but improving. And Corinthians are much better, so theoretically they are in a better position to win.
