Nice to see the expansion all over the world. Smiley Just read this article at cointelegraph about selling and buying BTC will be available in more than 100 countries due to a new partnership.

And this is just the beginning  Grin

great news, in my country a few use it, and still growing up...
I hope more store will adopting bitcoin.. Wink

Great. But this is only one part of the medal. The other one (that is even more important) is how many people buy on it. So how many people use bitcoin to buy things. This it will be the very success of the bitcoin system. If no one will buy then the stores will remove this way of payment.

The demand for bitcoin in Brazil is lower than average therefore I love updates like these. I wish this was done more often from different parts of the world.

"Brazilians in general are very open to new technologies and are heavy users of the Internet. The problem is still lack a better environment for doing business and innovating, which can delay the launch of local services despite the great talent and innovative drive of its people bitcoin has generated less interest in Brazil is that the country's native currency, the real, has proven to be more reliable than the government-backed options available in its neighboring states.

I am also interested to find out what kind of shops those are that accept bitcoin.

Are there any cigars, cigarette & tobacco stores?

one should see what kind of shops are those, so we can estimate the next grow rate for the future adoption, at least in brasil

those aren't only electronic shops right?

No companies here accept bitcoin for retail purchases in store. Only online and they just started last year, mostly just for electronic and computer equipment.
Time to give Brazil a visit  Grin

Wow 150 stores in a country today is a big deal. Do they ship worldwide Tongue

the ship cost would kill you as usual, it does not matter if you pay in bitcoin or you pay with rock...

but if those shops offer a discout, if you pay in bitcoin, then it would be another story

still the OP has not reply, regarding the nature of those shops, if they are all electronic shops, then we aren't doing much in terms of progress

Brazil have more store but the problem for me, the 85% of the store is in sudest zone, and i go every years to Brazil , but only in the nordeste zone, and have really low stores accept bitcoin

If you see our map (www.foxbit.com.br/mapa), you will see that we have a high concentration of stores in Aracaju (nordeste).

Good going Brazil. People might have huge demand for bitcoin in the future, as brazilians have a declining currency, somehow stringent capital controls, spend many hours on the internet and most people own a smartphone

Satoshi is rolling in his grave. #bitcoin
Google trends isn't showing some straight forward signs of interest in Brazil yet, which means that even tho the merchant side is growing,
the overall client side isn't as much interested. It's possible that there's an explanation to that if the merchants are online stores with non-local customers tho.
But none the less, such examples should be recognized, merchants obviously see advantages over old payment system, now it's just needed to spread awareness amung the population aswell.

cheers

That's a really good growth. Currently There're 29 "businesses" who accept bitcoin in Turkey (I think there're more but we may not be able to track them) Some of them are listed on coinmap.org
(Turkish List is here: http://coin-turk.com/turkiyede-bitcoin-kabul-eden-yerler/ )

I hope there'll be such jump in Turkey too.

First we need to build our coalition, then make pressure to government. Bitcoin has no where in Turkish law, they can't explain its situation too.

Brazil has a law for Bitcoin? How do stores keep their Bitcoin and how do they pay taxes?

In Brazil, we don't have specific law for bitcoins.
The stores can to receive in bitcoin, but it need to do an invoice in BRL.
This suggests there is a very good condition fot growing bitcoin and they may usr it to rscape payong costs
