The apex court mandates the apex bank to continue using the old naira note as a legal tender until 31 Dec 2023 but CBN says it has no information on the supreme court ruling over the old naira notes. This country na cruise.

When I been first here about the supreme court’s judgement say make them return the use of the old naira note up till 31st of December this year, I was really glad because the situation of no availability of cash has really been a disaster.

But my fear here is that the country has shown no respect for the supreme court’s decision on different occasions and I am thinking they may also do so this time around.

One of the major reasons of the naira redesign was to checkmate electoral fraud but since this could not be achieved in the just concluded presidential election, I see no reason subjecting the citizens to more hardship for a fruitless course. But what's CBN position on the supreme's order? Would they comply? Would the old notes be released for use by commercial bank? Because they are with 90% of the old naira notes.

I believe the main reason why the CBN went back on its policy to re-use the old notes is more than the reason we know. Perhaps, would have this development been made if it was a different candidate from the current winner of the just concluded election, who won?
Will POS charges reduce now that the old notes have been called back?
These are questions we need to find out, because we are going to be on a really long thing if charges remain same, no new notes in circulation.
Am ready to start using the old notes I left and am hoping others have started accepting it.
You do understand that No be CBN reversed the matter, it was the supreme court verdict, however, who knows how these politicians they take our head play. The same person that was alleged to be the bain of the whole money saga eventually turned out to be the winner of the election, at least for the main time  Grin until he is sown in, but I believe it was good news overall that was get to continue to spend the rest of the denominations.

This country na big mess and I just feel say everything wey dey happen based on this Naira scarcity na election strategy. We no get good leaders at all, what if the people wey don die for this mata wetin dem won talk. Due to selfish interest Nigerians fit kill their brothers for power.

Nigeria too big for one man to rule because of our greedy act, imagine wetin play for out head because of nonsense election wey the person still rig win. I swear Nigeria na scam and fucked up,but so many people no dey see am like that. I no go surprise if I wake up one day see say politician don sell Nigeria and the citizens.

So after all the stress when dem put us through because of the new naira design I wake up dey see say we fit use the old note again. All these things join why I talk say Nigeria leaders nor just know wetin dem dey look for, e kon belike say dem nor make any plans before them implement the new naira note policy.

But with this update I just hope things return back to normal because most people don dey see Shege already, only those people when sabi online banking nah dem really enjoy this period while all those old market women and men just lock their shop sit-down for house because if dem open nobody they come patronize dem due to say no cash for hand. But hopefully all those things go stop because of this new update.

My brother, I was very excited when I saw the news, it was making me feel like things will be more good, after all this day's people are suffering from many different things because of cashless of money, the most painful one is that many people waste their money in buying some things that they are not supposed to buy, like omo, and Maggi just because to make sure that they didn't have the old naira note in their hands again, this matter just be like they are using Nigeria to be catching cruise.

Who will not be happy with this declaration, atleast now we'll have our cash with us and avoid all this bank wahala that's ongoing due to the poor Nigeria banking system. But I'm angry that the current government played Nigeria in this way. From the rumours I heard, I understand that this policy was targeted at Tinubu as Atiku is the person behind this lack of cash flow policy by the CBN. I heard Atiku vice was from the same region as the CBN governor and they tried to make money not available to tinubu for rigging of the election but guess their plans failed as he still successfully rigged it and has been declared the President elect.

When you reason this rumours and see how the supreme court running came immediately after the presidential election you go begin see some point for the matter. Them dun reason am now say their plans dun fail and there's no reason to keep the cash out of circulation. This na almost a year grace oh so what was them the need to make people's life miserable with the cashless policy if them know say e no go take effect from this year. This na just my problem with the Nigerian government, them no dey follow wetin their mouth dey talk and that makes it too hard for people to trusts their words.

The supreme court on Friday nullified the ban by the central bank of Naija CBN on the use of the old #200, #500, and #1000 bank Notes as legal tenders. It was a great celebration in my area today for the pronouncement of the judgement because, some people still have old naira notes with them that made them to feel  this is the best opportunity for them to make use of them. Are you happy about the supreme court judgement?
