Whoever he is - I sure hope he'e encrypted and backed up his wallet.
I hope he has a backup identity and money for facial surgery... he lives in great threat now regardless if he is the real Satoshi or not.

No he doesn't this is ridiculous bullshit people saying this.

Does Bill Gates live in great threat?  How about Warren Buffet?

Dude's a billionaire so he can easily afford to move to a safe, gated community where no one will touch him.

You think you could break into Bill Gates house and torture the money out of him? I doubt he has piles of cash lying around. This guy on the other hand, is completely vulnerable to that kind of thing.

Looks like he lives in a nice suburb in California.  This isn't mexico dude.  You don't see entrepreneurs/celebritites getting kidnapped and tortured for their money.

Ridiculous bullshit saying he's in any sort of danger.

He's at risk for being mobbed by the media, supporters, groupies, but physical danger?  Nah, very unlikely.

No violent criminal is going to give a fuck about a geeky internet guy with a bunch of bitcoins.  Let alone try to kidnap and torture someone who is surrounded by cameras and witnesses.

Very nice neighborhood! The house and lot is appraised at...wait for it...~$100K USD. The home I live in, build in the late 1800's is worth more than his house. I was surprised to learn such, given he's just south of Pasadena, let alone California. He's taxes are only about a grand, whereas here it's 4-5 grand.

It's obvious it is not him. Notice the no-caps ffs, among other things.

Or he is the greatest troll ever...

While I'm on a weird kick, looks like this Satoshi Nakamoto does have a command of the English language.

It's absolutely riddled with errors.

I guess you're right, but it's a lot better than what I have been seeing. BTW, Tribbles probably isn't SN: http://www.inthe00s.com/index.php?topic=35356.0, albeit it was weird that it was his train image that made the cut on the exact day the first block was mined. On top of that, by a Trekkie.

You guys ready for something really weird?

Not sure if it been mentioned anywhere else, but I doubt it since I found it via Google and should have seen such due to the limited search results of the term I used.

http://elizabethtploshay.com/the-genesis-block-time-stamp/

Quote
“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks,” serves as Satoshi’s choice to time stamp for the block chain as basic proof that he could not have made the first block before January 3, 2009.

I have a tread on this forum entitled: Let's Count to 21 Million with Images: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lets-count-to-21-million-with-images-77535 It was created due to inspirations of other threads on other forums, like the following:

http://www.inthe00s.com/archive/boardgames/smf/1190127721.shtml

I would love to discover how the two timestamps correlate.

Someone didn't quite seat or took off the derail plate from the rail top completely. Bad practice. If the switch is at fault, need be notified immediately to the MOW crew. This photo was taken from on-line, I didn't take the photo. And, the flag should be installed at this condition!!!

I feel for him, being such an intensely private person this is probably the last thing he ever wanted to have happen. His life as he knows it is over.

He is going to have to move, he will need security now, even his family might need security. Im sure the Feds will want to talk with him. Hopefully they protect him as well.

I dont doubt the reporting. Everything makes sense.

At first, I, too, that it'll be good idea to move, but now there's a problem. It's his mother's house, not his. Try telling/convincing your 94 year mother, if you have/had one that she now has to move. It took everything my dad could muster up to convince his mother, my grandmother, to move when she was only in her 60's and had control of most of her senses.

If it was just him, a deal could've been struck regardless if he was/is the real Satoshi Nakamoto or not. Not now, especially since she's been in that same home since '59, a year before I was born.

Wait a minute here most Bitcoiner's live in the 94 year old grandma's basement this is like 90 percent of the Bitcoin demographic right ?

LOL!

Whether or not this Satoshi "changed name to Dorian at 23" Nakamoto is the guy, there is no doubt he knows quite a bit about the U.S. Libertarian Party.  The, "Free Lunch", references, and the interview with his family makes him out to be a Japanese Ron Swanson.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQmIRea_FWo
"No questions right now I want my free lunch" He then laughs
Smiling he says, "Wait a minute, I want free lunch, I'm going to go with this guy"

Here's the thing about the free lunch quote.  It shouldn't be used as a joke against the validity of him being Nakamoto, because the phrase isn't merely something Libertarians used to say a lot, it was the Libertarian Party's first official slogan.

"There ain't no such thing as a free lunch" was also the U.S. Libertarian Party's first logo. TANSTAAFL

The Libertarian Party, arguably being the 3rd largest party in the U.S. is still incredibly small.  His political opinions being so in line with the community and arguably the effect of Bitcoin itself is just one of a lot of pieces that are coming together.

I'm leaning toward this being the real Satoshi.  So many counter-arguments on here are easily dismissed, but it is true there is no hard evidence yet, just a lot of circumstantial evidence.  I'm not going to argue at length about how ethical Leah was as a journalist, but there's been efforts here to find out who he is before, and don't pretend you don't want to know who he is, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this.

I guess 344 miles is too much of a distance for a model train.
