This fight could not have ended with a different result. Dubois controlled the entire fight from the very beginning. It was only a matter of time before Bryan fell to the ground. I really liked how Dubois fought and it looks like he is growing to be the new champion of this weight class.

Wow, have you seen the video of their face-off where Bryan is disrespecting Dubois by showing him tampoons and throwing the tampons on Dubois's feet while dancing suggesting that Dubois is a soft guy, Bryan is going to get a lot of punishment from Dubois, I'm sure of that, he doesn't take Dubois seriously and this is one big mistake.

And just like that, Dubois blasted Bryan with a left hook and it's night-night for the big fella, LOL.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBy_f0KBqtI

And now he is the WBA champion and it was mentioned that he will be the mandatory for the winner of Usyk vs Joshua later. Not sure though if Dubois will have a chance against either of the two. But a win is a win, with a brutal knock out.

Brutal knockout indeed but I'm not so confident that he could give a competitive fight to either Joshua or Usyk as I found him too slow but i could be wrong as style makes fight so let's see if that championship fight will be scheduled.

I have not bet on this fight because the odds are one-sided and TBH I have not seen Dubios fought but from now on, i will be watching this guy and see if he can hold on to that belt for a long time.

Dubois can knock out his opponents on both hands, it's a quick left hook and Bryan was down, face first, if a fighter is down face down no way he can get up it's an easy fight for Dubois there's no resistance on Bryan, I agree on what you said that he is to slow and he lacks defense, that could put him in trouble against opponents like Wilder or Joshua or even Usyk, he needs to work on his defense and his aggressiveness, I notice on some of his fights he is always waiting and rely on his opponents making mistakes.

There's nothing special about Bryan, when he felt the power of Dubois, he somewhat covered but then first again face first, and it's just a matter of time before Dubois can time him with that huge left which he did and once it landed perfectly, Bryan went down hard. If he become the mandatory on the winner of Joshua vs Usyk, that WBA belt will be gone as we all know that those two are well above other heavyweight boxers. And I wouldn't be surprised if Dubois will be KO by Joshua or toyed by Usyk.

Yes, it was expected the Dubois will get a knock out victory here, the line was like over/under 3.5 rounds, ML ofr Dubois is like 1.0x or something, not a good bet for us. Grin. Dubois doesn't have a good chin so if ever either Usyk or AJ landed a big shot, chances are he will go down specially Joshua's straight.

But let's see who's going to win in the rematch between Usyk vs AJ. This could be another good pay day for Dubois but I don't think that he can beat them.

Final weigh-in for this two heavyweights:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dixS4QNBzao

Bryan - 259.6 lbs
Dubois - 241.6 lbs

Bryan the heavier but it's obvious that the weight is around his belly,  Grin. While Dubois is the more fitted fighter, muscular.

Dubois though, still a huge favorite, 1.05 and this could be over in less than 5 rounds. Even the opening for this is over/under at 3.5. Clearly the bookies know that this fight is not going to last. Unfortunately, I have to skip this one though. But for those who are going to bet on this fight, best of luck.

Dubois is also my favorite to win the fight, he started out strong earlier in his career and he was touted to be the next Mike Tyson, and many predicts that he will the next big thing in the heavyweight, but it was derailed by the fight against Joe Joyce, but now he can fulfill his dream to become a champion, this is not going to be an easy fight as both fighters are knock out artist, of course, I will not rule out an upset as Bryan also has a good record and has a big punch.

9:1 underdog? Wow, it will really be an upset if Bryan pull this off. And we all know that in heavyweight division, anything can happen as this guy as so powerful that a single punch can change the outcome of the fight.

So for underdog bettors, this is a dream,  Grin, Lol, and yeah, who knows, we can't rule out an upset if Dubois become too confident and just walk through Bryan and then caught with a huge punch.

Boxing has declined so much over the years.

It used to be unheard of for two journeyman like Bryan and Dubois to contend for a heavyweight title.

This is guaranteed to not be a big fight in terms of viewership and numbers.

Dubois has 187,000 followers on instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/dynamite_daniel_dubois/

Bryan has 4,937 followers:  https://www.instagram.com/trevorbryanjr/

...

Conor McGregor by contrast has 45 million followers:  https://www.instagram.com/thenotoriousmma/

MMA is bigger than boxing at this point.

Aside from a few select stars boxing doesn't carry the star power that it used to.

But the pay is still huge in boxing, champions are raking millions in PPV and gate profits, compared to MMA champions they are not even getting half of what the boxing title holders are getting, so we have seen the likes of Nganou and Mcgregor shifting to boxing, MMA organizations are the one making money out of MMA fighters.
MMA is now very popular and MMA fighters know that, and they are fighting for a bigger share of the profit, it will still take years before they equal what boxers are getting.

Yeah, I would agree that Dubois will be the favorite, take note though that Dubois is British. And we all know that we have Fury as the best heavyweight right now and Anthony Joshua trying to get back his revenge and remain relevant in the HW division. So imagine this 3 Brits taking the HW division now and could have all the belts.

Its a long way from home for Dubois in this fight but many are rooting for him since Bryan's last performance was a mess. He's not in good shape or so they say. Maybe its Dubios is really that good. I  was just reading some comments about the match and majority are saying its Dubios' time to reign.

His defeat against Joe Joyce was cause by his eyes getting hit all the time and then he can't see any more. Looks voluntary surrender actually.

and to add, some may be are thinking that dubois is younger than bryan. hence, the initial odds as speculated by analysts. we are expecting that bryan will be slight favourite as he is defending the belt. and this will be in about couple of weeks so let's see how they will perform inside the ring.
not yet listed in most top bookies, so let's wait what they will give them to these 2. the possibility of changing the boxer as replacement is high as per some boxing blogs.

Honestly, this match is going to be a tough one as the two fighters have a good record and they are both orthodox but I will Bryan still has a huge chance of winning the fight.

Yes, Fury and Anthony Joshua are British, I like them for making boxing fans proud but that cant is used to judge the winner of the Bryan vs Dubois. Besides, the last time I checked boxing was not made only for the British alone to be HW division belt holder.

Yes, but what I'm saying is that the British has been dominating the HW division for years now. Americans used to have a grip on division up to the late 90's. But when the 2 headed monsters comes along, the Klitschko brothers, and before that, another British boxer that ended Mike Tyson's career comeback, Lennox Lewis. So the tradition that Americans having dominated this division is not coming back. Not even Deontay Wilder can tip the balance to the US.

Anyhow, let's see if the tradition for having a least a British boxer holding a HW belt will continue.
Yes, the British are the ones dominating the HW division but it is only a matter of time before it switches to another and it doesn't mean that the tradition of America dominating the HW division is over . Although, it may take some time but they have some good boxing fighter which will make history in the future of the HW division.
Having said that, The reason why the British are ruling the HW division is that the British seem to be focused more on boxing than the US.

I don't know which American boxers you think will rule the division in the future. So far I only see 3 American boxers worth mentioning in the top 3 in the HW

1. Wilder
2. Joe Joyce
3. Ruiz Jr. (half Mexican)

So not sure which one of them can beat Fury, or Usyk. Ruiz Jr beat AJ, but Joshua was able to avenge his lost. Perhaps there will be one from the US,  but it could be in the next 5 years I reckon. The current bred of UK prospects are also growing.

Anyhow, let's wait for the outcome of this fight.
Fury is currently a hot fighter right now but it is still unclear about his decision concern being retired and about the possible US to be among the ruling in the HW division i also don't expect it to happen this year or 2 but we will definitely see a champion from the US in the future.
Having said that, for this fight, i will choose  Bryan as the winner.

Thank you for pointing this out and I believe the reason why boxing doesn't carry star power like before is that is like the time of Mike Tyson when fighter went for an opponent that seems to be a threat or stronger than them.
What i see in today's boxing fight is most belt holders going for an opponent that they can use to increase their boxing records and thats not the same with MMA they provide the fans the fever they are thirsty for.

Right now I cannot think of a good American Heavyweight boxer there's a possibility that all existing heavyweight belts will be owned by the British boxers if Joshua wins against Usyk and if Dubois wins against Bryan, the first time I saw Dubois I thought he is the larger version of Mike Tyson, it's too bad that Joe Joyce stopped his winning streak.

But it's not yet late for Dubois to become great and he can stop here if he beats Bryan I have Dubois winning this fight, this fight will end in a knockout, either way, one boxer will knock his opponent out because of their proven knockout percentage.

Well there was one American before, and his name is Deontay Wilder. But we all know what happened to him.

Maybe just a little bit of sharpening his skills, Dubois could be the next big star from boxing. But that lost against Joe Joyce though, it will still remain a question mark. Nevertheless, if he can win against Bryan and get the belt, for sure he will be on the radar now.

Deontay Wilder is still good but he needs to climb the ladder again, there's so much buzz on his comback but he must be careful and only pick opponents that are easy to beat, there's a lot of good British heavyweight now Fury is retiring but he will have one big fight left and Joshua has a coming fight against Usyk, if he won there could be an all British heavyweight title showdown, I have Dubois on this fight he is one promising boxer but he is not yet polished boxer, there's a lot of loopholes on his fighting style, I have I will not see that loopholes on this fight.
