Yeah, I would agree that Dubois will be the favorite
Honestly, this match is going to be a tough one as the two fighters have a good record and they are both orthodox but I will Bryan still has a huge chance of winning the fight.
take note though that Dubois is British. And we all know that we have Fury as the best heavyweight right now and Anthony Joshua trying to get back his revenge and remain relevant in the HW division. So imagine this 3 Brits taking the HW division now and could have all the belts.
Yes, Fury and Anthony Joshua are British, I like them for making boxing fans proud but that cant is used to judge the winner of the Bryan vs Dubois. Besides, the last time I checked boxing was not made only for the British alone to be HW division belt holder.
Yes, but what I'm saying is that the British has been dominating the HW division for years now. Americans used to have a grip on division up to the late 90's. But when the 2 headed monsters comes along, the Klitschko brothers, and before that, another British boxer that ended Mike Tyson's career comeback, Lennox Lewis. So the tradition that Americans having dominated this division is not coming back. Not even Deontay Wilder can tip the balance to the US.
Anyhow, let's see if the tradition for having a least a British boxer holding a HW belt will continue.
Yes, the British are the ones dominating the HW division but it is only a matter of time before it switches to another and it doesn't mean that the tradition of America dominating the HW division is over . Although, it may take some time but they have some good boxing fighter which will make history in the future of the HW division.
Having said that, The reason why the British are ruling the HW division is that the British seem to be focused more on boxing than the US.
I don't know which American boxers you think will rule the division in the future. So far I only see 3 American boxers worth mentioning in the top 3 in the HW
1. Wilder
2. Joe Joyce
3. Ruiz Jr. (half Mexican)
So not sure which one of them can beat Fury, or Usyk. Ruiz Jr beat AJ, but Joshua was able to avenge his lost. Perhaps there will be one from the US, but it could be in the next 5 years I reckon. The current bred of UK prospects are also growing.
Anyhow, let's wait for the outcome of this fight.
Fury is currently a hot fighter right now but it is still unclear about his decision concern being retired and about the possible US to be among the ruling in the HW division i also don't expect it to happen this year or 2 but we will definitely see a champion from the US in the future.
Having said that, for this fight, i will choose Bryan as the winner.
Thank you for pointing this out and I believe the reason why boxing doesn't carry star power like before is that is like the time of Mike Tyson when fighter went for an opponent that seems to be a threat or stronger than them.
What i see in today's boxing fight is most belt holders going for an opponent that they can use to increase their boxing records and thats not the same with MMA they provide the fans the fever they are thirsty for.
