$5000 and $7500 is actually a big difference. Everybody undestands that even current rate is the underestimated price. I'm not into these groomy panic moods, so I feel that $10k is closer than $5k)
Thank god! There are some true lovers of the bitcoin and people with mind who think before trusting any fake news. I am also not in mood to be overloaded by useless threads and news about the decreases in bitcoin price in the near future. We all know that it is the time for bitcoin to head towards 10,000 dollars that going back to 5000 dollars. That is really insane for bitcoin to do so now when it is mid of the year almost.

I don't think it's underestimated. I think right now it's spot on. Read a few posts up why

We have different point of view and speculation of bitcoin price. So I am positive bitcoin can move forward and will recover anytime. When we observe today it turns green so possibly price will start increasing.

The price of the bitcoin today is $7500 and I hope the price will not decrease like $5000. But they have possibility the price of the bitcoin become $5000 if many people sell their bitcoin. Just hold your bitcoin and you can gain more profit..

When the price of bitcoin reaches 7290$,you may come to conclusion. The price of bitcoin will reduce to 5000$.But now the price of bitcoin is started to increase again. Now the expected raise of bitcoin price is 8000$ by tomorrow.Don't sell your bitcoin at this situation.Just wait for the maximum price raise.

BTC never reach the 5000 USD because many negative news are created in the market but still it will maintain a common fluctuation so this will reach 7k USD possible and again it will move forward in as soon as possible.
Bitcoin future is always positive so we don't worried about any kind of situation.

There was a prediction from a guy, two or three months ago, saying the price would fall to 3k by June or July.

If thats the case, I'm going to prepare the fiat to buy.

setting technical analysys aside, if BTC is going to be used as a real coin it's going to end up priced at around the mining costs, which right now are 2000-5000$, depending on the rig you have.

The cost actually is around 13k. As you can see here:

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/btc?HashingPower=4730&HashingUnit=GH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=1293&CostPerkWh=0.12&MiningPoolFee=1

it's 4 cents per kw in China mate. If you pay 12 cents then you are doing it wrong. Of course there are countries that pay as much as 24 cents but the point is to locate your centers in cheap countries, which is why over 50% of mining is done in china. There are even cheap countries though like ucraine.

Always nice to see that everyone has a different opinion  Smiley. Bitcoin is now hovering around the 8k mark, which is the support level at this moment.
I think it can take a while before we see a great movement as for the moment there is good or bad news, but this can change rapidly offcourse.

No way man, that's not gonna happen.
But if it does I'm investing as much as I can.
Who is that guy by the way?
Was he on the news or in the forum?

Rule of thumb: NO ONE knows the future price for BTC (and if someone hypothetically knew with absolute certainty, he or she wouldn't post about it here, but silently act accordingly on the market)
Exactly that is why this board is called speculation cause we are forming some hypothesis with the future prices that we know it will happen base on our research, graphs, and past or current events, we cannot tell what would be the exact price next month or even next year if we are going to get passed the ATH 20k, but surely it shows that it is resisting to go down to 5k is a good indication we may see the 20k this year, but who knows when.

no,retest to that level($5000) won't bring us to $20.000 level because we need a time to consolidate the price and stabilize it it(usually it will takes a few months to do it).
right now everything is in a middle of nowhere.
a week ago i believed we were in a down trend because the indicator showed us an ugly movement happened with Bitcoin and a cameback from Bitcoin without a volume.
for me,
it would be best for Bitcoin to reach $10.000 and consolidated its price in around that range this year,
if Bitcoin do that this year,i believe in 2019ish we will see another ATH or at least recovering its price to around $20.000.
but for now ? it's dream if we are talking about breaking another ATH when the markets shows us this kind of action and activity

As I always say: no one can predict what will be the Bitcoin price in the future.
But, I don't think Bitcoin will fall down to 5k again, not even to 7k.
I like to see detailed analysis more than seeing few charts with meaningless red and blue lines.
There are many topics talking about predicting Bitcoin price, which one should we believe!!!

Anyone can be a speculator in this section so in my opinion there are no right or wrong suggestions here, We can surely look at the past movement of bitcoin but ended in a different outcome or we can calculate the certain movement and might see a certain point where the price can land but we can not get the exact prediction for it, I really think Cryptocurrency has a risk but not as risky as gambling we just need experience in trading with it.

Yeah, sooooooooooooo...
I am about to strap my 5 cents here)

In my last post (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/serious-talk-bitcoin-price-3898620) i gave my opinion based on the DX (USD index)
But gazing into BTC chart got me thinking about life.
So, last post we were looking at midterm market movement.
And NOW lets talk about LONGTERM!

My guess is that)
Soon enough we will be looking at 5k!)

Explanation:
Weekly Ma10 support will break down after this Sunday, MA5 will push price down, next support will be MA20 at 5k lvl.
Plus USD is getting stronger wich will push the price of bitcoin down)

Good news is that the long term looks amazing!

Here is some analysis from ya boi.

We are all analysts and equally good or bad at the end of the ride with our predictions. If people believe that we're up for much lower levels, then they should open short positions to back up their words, otherwise what's it worth to "confidently" say that you think something is going to happen? If I strongly believe that the price will be going up or down, it's not just words but I actually go long or short. Yes, you can't always be right, but at least I put my funds to work. There is no point in predicting something to happen where afterwards it happens, but you didn't take advantage of that opportunity.... It's a waste of time and feels like you lost money while in reality you haven't lost anything.

Yeah, as I said that many analyst argued that BTC will reach $5k but I haven't take position on this. I bought BTC at $6k dip and just hodling since I'm not a trader. I'm just interested on following traders' channel and watch how they use different tools to draw lines *lol

1 thing that I learned from forex is that market has its rules and if you will not respect them - you are going to end up with no money.
What rules are you talking about, in every market be it forex or bitcoin the price depends on the demand.

Quote
The fact that bitcoin could fall to 5k is an amazing thing!
It will give very sturdy support to the future 36-40k upward movement!
The fact itself that we are bearish right now is very good!
It is not amazing to see the price falling below $5k, it simply means that there is less demand and more coins circulating in the market and people are not willing to purchase the coin, you can call it an opportunity for everyone to purchase the coin, but that is the fact and it does not have any correlation to the next rally.
